NEXT MORNING~ MILLAS’ APARTMENT

Maxwell woke up feeling better, at least the ringing head is gone.

He saw socks on his foot and the duvet all-over him, definitely done by granny.

He smiled and pulled the duvet away from himself, coming down from the bed.

The pains in his legs and arms is lesser than yesterday’s, though it’s still painful, but it’s better.

He limped out of the room and met Warren in the living room, eating berries and watching TV.

“You didn’t go home last night?” He asked.

“I’d be wicked to go home when my bestie is wounded” Warren replied with a $illy smile.

“Where’s Cypress? She went to work already?” Maxwell asked.

“Nope, she went to Skyline” Warren replied, and Maxwell’s eyes widened.

“What did you just…

“She said she’d teach your boss something unforgettable” Warren winked.

Maxwell’s eyes were still wide when he noticed a note on the table.

He limped to it and took it quickly, it’s from granny Suzy.

~DON’T WORRY TREASURE, I’LL MAKE SURE TO PULL OUT ALL THE HAIR IN THE ANUS OF THAT BOSS OF YOURS, I’M ON MY WAY TO SKYLINE~

The note fell from him immediately.

Now it’s over, they’d kll her!!!

“Oh no…”

He rushed into his room despite his hurtful leg and got his jacket..

“Where are you….

Before Warren could finish, he was already out of the house.

SKYLINE~ 8AM

Jemima’s sleek car came to an halt in front of the building, and her phone chimed in her bag.

She got it and sighed when she saw it’s a reminder from Francesca.

~MUMMY, YOU DIDN’T FORGET THE SHOW AT SCHOOL TODAY, RIGHT? I’M GONNA BE DANCING BALLERINA, AND IT’D BE COOL IF YOU COME TO WATCH ME~

She inhaled after reading, then she dropped her phone and landed her head on the headrest, thinking about what Sloane said last night.

How would she fix this when he’s the first person she’d ever feel guilty of treating badly?

She did tons of shit to a whole lotta people already, and she has never for once felt bad like she’s feeling right now.

She got her phone and went to the contacts to stare at Maxwell’s number.

She was about to dial it when she changed her mind and dropped the phone. What’d she possibly say to him?

“Ma’am, we’ve arrived” the driver said from the front, and she looked up to see they’re already in front of the company.

“When did we arrive?” She asked surprisingly.

“Five minutes ago” the driver replied, and she sighed, picking her bag

She left the car after the door was opened for her, but immediately she stepped out.

“Hey! Jemima!” A loud thuggish voice yelled from the side, and immediately she turned there, a tomboy attacked her, pushing her to the car before slapping her hard on the right cheek.

“Ah!” Jemima gasped shockingly, and her guards surrounded them immediately.

“For the intro, I’m Cypress Milla, Maxwell’s bigsis” Cypress muttered, and when the guards made to attack her, Jemima stopped them by raising an hand, and they stood still.

Though her cheek stings as a result of the slap, but a part of her was telling her that she deserves it, so she tried hard to calm herself before looking Cypress in the eye.

“I’m…I’m sorry” she stuttered.

“Sorry? You think sorry would cut it? Do you know how greatly wounded he is?

His head, his legs, his arm….do you know how important that arm is in his swimming career?

What if my brother won’t be able to swim again you stupid billionaire!” Cypress shouted.

This time, Jemima went mute, what’d she say anyways?

she just stood still, holding eyes with Cypress who’s glaring dangerously at her.

“I’m asking what you’d do to cure his wounds faster! He has to practice for the tournament!” Cypress yelled and raised her hand to sI.ap her again.

Jemima shut her eyes immediately, expecting it, but just as it was about to land, granny Suzy came out of a taxi too.

“Where’s the stupid boss! Where’s she!!!* She shouted as she ran to the front where she saw Cypress holding Jemima to the car.

“There you are spoilt brat!!!” She shouted, rushing to them.

She took Jemima from Cypress and grabbed her hair so tight..

“Ahh!” Jemima winced as her scalp stung.

“How could you do that to a human! You made him work overnight when I was sick, you made him work overnight yesterday too!

He must have gotten into an accident when he was coming home late you wtch! He was the apple or his late father’s eyes yunno!

I promised to protect him with my life so why the hell did you do that to him why!!!” Granny yelled, pulling her hair with strong hands again.

This time, Jemima fell as a result of the pull, and some of her hair pulled out of her scalp.

“My treasure graduated with the best result at his school, but he was given the result of another person cos we aren’t rich! Haven’t we seen too much hell already?

Must you add to it? You’re inhumane!!” Granny pulled her hair again, and more of it pulled out as Jemima began crying.

“I’m sorry!!!”
