Chapter 14??????
NICK POV
As soon as I got back from the trip, I went straight to school
Feeling a bit tired and wanting to see Stella, Though she has been playing hard to get for a while I know that soon enough she will accept me
I was about texting her that I was here already when I saw Alexia number instead
“Make sure you tell me when you come back ,If you don’t am truly going to kill you” that was her fare well message when I was leaving
I better text her now, I smiled and the thought of texting Stella left my mind
I was about to press the send button when I looked up and saw her running on the second building
Where could she be headed to, I thought as I kept on starring at her
“Doesn’t she know that she might fall with the way she is running”I muttered to myself
I got a message and I stared at my phone and at that same time I heard Stella call me
I looked up and she came running towards me to hug me
“Its so good that you are back”She said while I smiled at her
I turned to see if Alexia was there but nothing, Seems like she was heading some where else instead,I thought sadly
We were heading to class when I saw Dave and with the way he behaved I felt some thing suspicious but Stella urging me on distracted me for a while
We were about entering the class when some thing urged me to look back
I saw her walking beside Dave carrying his back pack
Had she gone to help welcome him instead,I thought as I got distracted by the other students who came to talk to us
Class went smoothly as usual and then her new friends came interrupting me from asking her to eat together
Stella came taking me away, Eating amongst Stella new lousy friends didn’t thrill me at all, I would have prefer if I was only eating with her but I had to like her friends if I wanted to win her heart.
I responded whenever I was asked a question but I was getting bored already and if Alexia was here,She would already know that I was bored out of my wits
Just then I saw her walk in with her new friends and while they served her favourite dish and they all sat around an empty table, I kept on looking at her
She was about eating her first mouthful when she picked up her phone, Her smile had changed instantly and I saw her starring at Dave who was sitting with his friends some distance away.
I saw her get up and then a while later she returned holding a spoon, A spoon which she handed to him, Was the jerk asking her to do Things for him, I thought as I stared at Alexia whose smile had disappeared, Was Dave bullying her? I thought as I kept on starring at her
Her phone beeped again and I was sure that it was a message from Dave, The bullying jerk wouldn’t just stop right? I thought as I found myself standing up and making excuse for Stella and I
I went straight to Alexia table and was welcomed by her friend Jessica
I was chatting with Jessica when her phone beeped again
“One thing your mom taught us was to have some manners while eating, So we better eat and stop pressing our phone”I said wanting her to put the phone down
“But I…….”She tried to give a reason but Jessica gave her a response I like
Just then Dave came to seat on the empty seat beside her, Seeing him seated beside her made me so angry
“Have been waiting for my water Alexia” The creep said again
“I will get it for……..”She couldn’t finish her word because I held her hand stopping her
“You will do no such thing Alexia,Let him get the water himself” I said angrily
“And who are you to interfere?”Dave asked
“Am her best friend and some one who cares for her, Some one who Hates bullies like you bullying her”I said now very angry
Dave expression changed and he knew that I was angry and whenever am angry, I don’t care about anything or anyone
“It’s okay Nick, I will get the water”She said rising up and before I could stop her, She left for the water
I stared at Dave and saw him smiling and that made me want to punch his face
Alexia came back him, breathing fast as she stretched the water towards him
Feeling so angry at Dave and also mad at Alexia for letting him bully her I hit the water out of her outstretched hand and I took her by the hand and left the cafeteria with her, Leaving everyone stunned.
ALEXIA POV
I stared at his hand in mine and I couldn’t stop myself from smiling
Did he just protect me from Dave, I thought as I kept on following him
We got to the field and he let go of my hand and turned to stare at me
“Why the he..ll are you letting that creep bully you, Your much stronger than that”He said looking angry
Wow, He was so angry on my behalf, I thought as I continued to stare at him
“Whatever he is holding against you, Tell me, I won’t let him bully you” He said and that made me come back to my senses
Dave knows that I like Nick and that is what he is using against me, I can’t tell Nick about it
“I can’t tell you”I replied gently
“And since when did you start to keep things from me”He asked
“Ever since I………” Ever since I started loving you, I finished the words in my mind
“Ever since when?”He asked
“Ever since you started living your own life, There are things you keep hidden from me too right, I don’t bug you about it”I replied
“So your saying Am bugging you right now!”He asked
“I……”
“Forget it, I don’t know why I meddle in the first place, Your free to do what you like, I won’t bug you about it anymore”He said and walked off looking very angry
I stared at him leave and I felt my heart breaking
For a while I had felt very happy because Nick defended me and I just had to throw it all back on his face, He doesn’t deserve it but I have to keep doing as Dave wish, Now more than ever Nick must never know how I feel about him,It’s best that way,I thought watching him leave.
DAVE POV
“Am her best friend and some one who cares for her”
Nick word kept on coming back to me, He had looked like someone protecting his possession instead of his friend
Could Nick like Alexia too? I thought as I kept on starring at clouds
“Will you tell me what the hell happened in there a while ago”Stella said as she came towards me
I shrugged not giving her the answer she needed
“I thought your part was to make her fall for you and then you break her, Why the hell did she look like someone who is longing for Nick?”She asked
“That’s because she is longing for him”I replied
“Alexia likes Nick?”She asked again
“Yes,She does and she would prefer it if Nick doesn’t know”
“Because Nick doesn’t like her, I mean why would Nick like someone like her”She said proudly
“You better not get ahead of yourself yet, The way Nick treated Alexia this afternoon wasn’t the way a way a friend will treat a friend”I said and she stared at me
“Are you saying that Nick likes Alexia too?”She asked
“Am not sure about it, All I know is that Nick is very protective of her, You saw the way he behaved today right?”I asked
“Like some protector”She replied
“So then we must do our best to keep those two apart from each other”
“What do you suggest”Stella asked
“Date him”I replied gently
“Date him?”
“Yes,For real,Make him fall for you like a crazy besotted fool And by you dating him, Alexia will have no choice than to give up and then I will come in, Soothing her and trying to be her friend”
“And what next?”
“I help you take revenge just as you will help me take mine”I said and she smiled
“When it comes to being evil, You are the smartest”Stella said giving me a smile
“I know right! The day you accept his proposal, make sure you let him make it grand, I want Alexia to be there,To watch everything and to give up easily”I said and she smiled back at me
“That is a piece of cake”She answered and smiled
I smiled too but deep down I felt like a bastard and why? I don’t even know…………..
