“Look, I already take this job and you don’t expect me to back out now too late” I folds my hand beneath my breast
“Contract not job” he suddenly says and I stared at him
“Huh?’
“Don’t even try to deny it, My sister employed you to make me fall in love with you and you have to start by applying as my personal maid, how creepy!” He laughs
I stared blankly at him, how did he found out or did Esther told him? But she said it should be between us both
“Who….who told you that?” I asked
“You mustn’t know, but really you are so brave to accept such offer but I do advice you to step out now cause it can never work..this love” he says and sat up
“I don’t believe in love but I guess my brother does” he smirked and I watched him walked to the stairs
I should probably call Esther, how on earth did he find out it was a Contract? Is this a set up?
“Wait! Mister what!” My voice echoed in the sitting room
“What?” He replied not turning to look at me which I appreciated
I slowly climbed the step and stood three steps away from him
“Was everything you said true? That you do not do love?” I asked
“Are you really sure you can’t fall for anyone?” I added
He finally turned to me, his dark gray eyes assessed me with disbelief and then interest
“From what I’ve heard you’re willingly to make someone your contracted girlfriend as long as she didnt demand for your love in return” I asked again
Silence reigned between us for a while, Noah stared at me through his narrowed eyes
He seems astonished as if he was looking at an unbelievable creature
“Why are you asking?” His lips now curve up in a forced smile
“I’m just curious, I just want to know” I answered
Weirdly to me I was unbelievably calm
“So what if it was and what if it wasn’t?”
I pressed my lips tight before replying “If it’s true how can you be so sure?Do you really believe that you will never fall for anyone? Ever?”
I asked but he replied me with a chuckle , his laughter didnt reach his eyes but somehow he was a bit amused , I wasn’t sure
His expression were just too tricky for me to figure out
“Crazy tell me what exactly are you trying to say?” He says
“I’m just saying that I don’t think you’re an exception maybe you just haven’t meet that special one who has an axe to force your heart open”
“Crazy, are you saying you want to try me??”
Looking at his eyes I fall silent for a moment before I nodded my answer
