CHAPTER 10

MELANIE’S APARTMENT, EVENING***

Melanie came out of the bathroom, rubbing her hair vigorously with the towel.

Her eyes went to the jacket that was on the bed. She walked to it and folded it neatly before placing it on the bed gently.

Her phone rang and she checked it to find Ace calling her. She rolled her eyes before picking the call.

“Hey” she said.

“Baby, are you okay? Have you gotten home?” Ace asked over the phone.

Melanie didn’t say anything.

“I called to inform you that I won’t be coming today anymore, I need to see a friend” Ace said.

“That’s all you’re good at, excuses” Melanie muttered.

“I’m hanging up” she ended the call immediately.

She waited for him to call her back but he never did.

“That jerk,” a tear escaped her eyes and she quickly wiped it off.

She walked to the dressing table and sat on the chair sadly.

“He doesn’t seems to care anymore” she mumbled.

She touched her chest and bit her lips hurtingly.

She heard the door opening and her hand tightened around her towel.

“Is he home already?” She asked herself.

“Mind your business, Mel”

She dressed up and went to the bed, picking her phone. She started scrolling through her and Ace’s picture and she didn’t know when a smile escaped her lips.

“He’s so cute” she gushed.

AXEL’S ROOM***

“You’re here already?” Axel asked in surprise. He was on the phone with Ace.

“Yes”

“Fk, why didn’t you guys tell me you’re coming?” He stood up and left the room. He wasn’t putting on a mask.

He got to the living room and opened the door, truly, his friends were there.

“Surprise!” Aaron winked.

Axel made way for them to come inside and they all entered. He was about to close the door when a hand stopped him.

It was Paisley.

“Hi” she smiled

He scoffed and allowed her in.

Paisley went to Ace and held his arm, looking around the house.

“This is so beautiful” she smiled.

“Why didn’t you guys tell me you’ll be coming tonight?” Axel asked, walking to the couch.

“It’s a surprise actually” Aiden said.

“You got me seriously” Axel muttered.

“Care for an alcohol?” He asked.

“Sure” Paisley quickly said.

“I wasn’t talking to you, ugly bitch” Axel said rudely.

Aaron giggled when he is and Aiden glared at him.

Paisley turned to Ace but he never said anything. She pouts before looking away.

Axel went to the kitchen and brought some alcohol, he returned and placed them on the table.

“You never told me you were coming so I didn’t prepared much” he said.

“It’s fine, it was a surprise anyway” Paisley smiled.

“Can you please just keep shut? It’s beginning to annoy me” Axel said.

“Don’t say anything for now, Paisley” Ace said to her. She was the one who insisted on going with them to Axel’s house.

“Whatever” Paisley rolled her eyes.

Melanie laughed loudly as she watched a movie on her phone, she was putting on a earpiece.

“This is so funny! How could she puked in his mouth?!!” She laughed again.

The urge to pee came and she paused the movie. There, she heard some voices in the living room.

“What’s that?” She wondered, getting down from the bed.

Slowly, she walked towards the door.
