CHAPTER 9

SOMEWHERE IN THE ROAD***

Seeing his eyes on her, Melanie quickly covered her chest with her hands.

“Take your eyes away” she warned, looking away from him.

Deep down, she was scared as hell. Stuck with a guy in an abandoned place when it’s raining, is she safe at all?

Axel never took his gaze from her, he was smoking while his eyes was still on her.

He suddenly stood up and threw the stick on the floor, he stepped on it and went closer to her.

“What are you doing?” Melanie stuttered a bit when he finally got to her.

His eyes went to her chest before going to her face, her lips were trembling and he could sense that she was feeling cold.

“Seems like the rain ain’t stopping anytime soon” Melanie said, trying to ease the tension that’s building between them.

“I should check it out” she chuckled and tried to move away.

Axel dragged her back and slammed her back on the wall, not too hard. He held her hands and caged them to the wall, staring into her eyes.

“You’re beautiful, very beautiful. Why didn’t I notice this earlier?” He muttered, staring deeply into her eyes.

“Let go of me please, don’t do anything to me” Melanie begged.

“So innocent” Axel shook his head.

He moved away from her and removed his jacket, he threw it to her.

“Put that on, you seem to have a cold” he said, going back to sit down.

Melanie held the jacket to her chest, biting her lips gently.

“Thank you” she mumbled slowly.

Axel ignored her and started pressing his phone.

Melanie put the jacket on and instantly, she felt warm. Her eyes went to him and she quickly looked away when his eyes went to her.

She brought out her phone to check if there was a message from Ace, but there was none.

“Is he that busy?” She mumbled, inserting her phone back into her bag.

“He should have called at least, that jerk” she pouts.

MOMENTS LATER***

Axel raised his head from his phone and glanced at Melanie to find her dozing off. She was still resting on the wall.

He stood up and went to the window, the rain has finally stopped and everywhere was so bright.

He turned and was about to leave the place when he suddenly stopped.

He turned to Melanie and sighed before walking to her.

“Hey,” he called.

Melanie opened her eyes and quickly composed herself.

“The rain has stopped, you should leave” Axel said and left the place.

“Wait… What?” She quickly went after him.

“Hey!” She shouted when she got outside.

Axel was about getting into the car when he heard her calling him. He turned and she ran to him.

“Erm… Sorry, can you please give me a ride? I don’t know anywhere here and this place seems to be deserted” Melanie said.

“And why did you think I should give you a ride?” Axel asked, giving his full attention to her.

“Erm… You’re nice”

He raised a brow

“You gave me your jacket even when your clothes are wet” she muttered, touching the jacket slowly.

Axel scoffed.

“Nice my foot, get in” he said and entered the car.

Melanie smiled widely and went around to enter the car.

Afterwards, the car drove out of the place.

A4’S SUITE***

Aaron smiled widely as he typed on his phone, a girl actually sent her nvdes to him.

“What’s up with the smile?” Aiden asked,. coming inside the room.

“Come here, isn’t she hot?” Aaron asked, showing Aiden the girl’s pics.

“Wow! Where did you get this girl?” Aiden asked.

Aaron went back in pressing his phone.

“At the hotel, she’s a popular slut” he said.

“Now I get why she’d be sending her nvdes to you” Aiden said.

“Have you fked her already?” He asked.

“No, not yet” Aaron muttered and dropped his phone.

“Should we visit Axel tonight?” He asked.

“It’s strange but I missed his presence here”

“We should then, I’ll call Ace” Aiden said.

“Thanks buddy” Aaron resumed back in pressing his phone.

“I’ll be inviting a girl over, don’t you dare come outside” Aiden warned, walking to the door.

Aaron nodded absentmindedly. He suddenly raised his head and let out a short smile.

“A girl?”

“Shut up” Aiden said and left the room.

Aaron shook his head, laughing silently.

“I think I’ll be fine here” Melanie said to Axel. They were still on the road.

Axel stopped the car at once.

Melanie turned to him with a smile.

“Erm, thanks for the ride, I really appreciate you” she said and he nodded.

She came down from the car and it zoomed off immediately.

She turned to leave when she suddenly realized that his jacket was with her.

“Your….”

“He’s gone” she sighed.

“How do I return this?” She started walking home.

“I don’t even know his name. I’ll just keep this and return it whenever I see him” she said to herself.

The house was not far anymore so she trekked home.

Axel was still driving when his phone beeped, he picked it and smiled when he saw the content.

His phone rang immediately.

“I’m dripping wet for you, Axel. Don’t keep me waiting” a girl said over the phone.

“We promised to meet today, remember?”

“Sure, I’m on my way” Axel said.

He reversed his car and sped off.
