CHAPTER 132

Axel continued teasing her and she couldn’t help but to release a moan into the kss.

“Mi amor,” Axel grunted, pressing her tip teasingly.

“Hmm,” Melanie moaned as her hand raked his soft hair.

“I’m…. I’m going on a trip,” he dropped the bombshell.

All at once, Melanie’s hand stopped moving on his hair and her body froze instantly.

“Wh… What?” Her voice broke immediately.

“Three years,” he whispered.

That was it, Melanie lost it completely as color drained on her face.

He was leaving her?? For three years?

“You’re breaking up with me?” She tried to make her voice sound okay but it failed her, it came out in a broken tone.

“No, baby. I can never.. I..”

“Then why!!!” She screamed, her tears falling torrentially.

“Why?” She whispered this time around. Just the sound of his leaving for three hearts made her heart aches

She buried her face on his shoulder, sobbing loudly.

“Don’t go please, I can’t do without you,” she cries.

The sounds of her cries got Axel’s heart breaking into a thousand pieces. This was his fear, her reaction… Her tears.

“Don’t go,” Melanie mumbled in tears.

Axel wrapped his arms protectively around her, cradling her fragile body to his.

He hadn’t even finished breaking the whole news to her and she was already in tears.

“Baby,” he called slowly and Melanie responded by tightening her hold around him, her tears falling on his wet clothes.

Axel sighed and stood still for a while. He let her tears drown him and after a while, her tears subdued.

“Bae, look at me please,” he murmured softly.

Melanie moved back and stared at him, her eyelashes glittering with her tears.

“I love you,” he whispered and Melanie bit her lips hard, trying to control her tears from spilling.

“I’m not leaving you, I can never do that. But, it’s my future I’m talking about here, I have to do it,” he muttered.

“Your… Future?” Melanie stuttered a bit.

“Hmm,” He began explaining his conversation with the Director to her.

“I’m not leaving you, we can always communicate. Three years is long, I know that but as long as we both love each other, we will be able to do it,” he ended.

“Axel,” Melanie’s bottom lips quivered as tears came rolling down her cheeks.

“Baby please,” Axel begged. His eyes were already red but he was trying hard to control his emotions. He definitely can’t break down in her presence.

“Do you trust me?” He asked slowly.
