CHAPTER 133

Melanie sniffed before cleaning her tears with a hand.

“Do you?” He asked again, staring right into her eyes

“I trust you, more than my life,” her voice came out hoarsely due to her tears.

“Then trust me not to break your heart, I’ll never desert you. You’ll always be on my mind, you…”

“Axel!!!” Melanie’s cries shut him up. Her body clung to his tightly as her head went to his hard chest, pouring her heart out.

“I can’t, it’s gonna be hard. I can’t cope without seeing you for a day, I can’t. Three years is like forever,” she sobbed loudly.

Axel blinked his teary eyes and held her to himself. All he did was to let her pour her emotions out.

QUEEN’S VILLA***

Confusion was clearly written on Paisley’s face as her eyes were fixed on Ace’s head which was on her shoulder.

She moved his head away before crossing her arms against his chest.

“What has that gotten to mean?” She asked.

“Paisley,” Ace tried to hold her but she stopped him with a hand.

“Don’t. Just say whatever you have to say and leave,” she said sternly.

Hurt flashed in Ace’s eyes for a brief moment and he let his hand down.

“I know I’ve hurt you more than repair, but can you just let it go… And, let’s start all over again?” He asked.

“As what? As sx partners?” She scoffed.

“So, you can call me all sorts of names? A bch? A shameless who’re? What again… Yea, slvtty body” she smiled sadly.

“Leave Ace, I really don’t want to do something harsh right now” she said.

“I…” Ace bit his lips. After listening to her, he realized how much he must have hurt her with his words and actions.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered.

Paisley took her gaze to the bed, avoiding his eyes. Understanding what she meant by that, a sad smile left Ace’s lips and he left the room without a word.

Immediately he was gone, a tear slipped out of Paisley’s eyes and she had to bite her lips to prevent more from spilling out.

She sniffed and cleaned her tears before making her way to the bed. She picked her phone and sent a message to him.

PAISLEY: Sorry for leaving you hanging, I had to take care of something.

She waited for a while but there wasn’t any reply from him. She dropped her phone and buried her face into the pillow, her mind filling with the thought of Ace.

THE BRAUN MANSION***

Mrs. Braun was wide awake as she stared at the picture of Axel. Her hand caressed the portrait slowly and a sad smile escaped her lips.

“I miss you,” she whispered in a shaky voice.

“Mommy miss you, won’t you come back home?” She weeps gently.

Mr. Braun stirred in his sleep, his hand went to the other side of the bed to find it cold. He furrowed his brow before snatching his eyes open.

He quickly sat up and his eyes met with his wife who was by the dressing mirror, staring at a portrait.

“Why aren’t you sleeping?” He asked.
