Chapter Eleven
GRACE POV
I wanted to say something but the school bell rang signifying that school was closed for today. I, Kyree and Jane got ready to leave the class but the nurse stopped us.
“If the patient wakes up, should I inform him that you guys brought him here?”.She asked and I bit my lower lip nervously.
“Of course do that”.Janeann quickly added, throwing a bubble gum into her mouth which was partly opened for the gum to enter.
“Sorry miss, I wasn’t talking to you. You didn’t bring him here, the girl and the guy did”.The nurse said but Jeanann scoffed, finding the nurse’s words offensive.
“And who told you that? You are only a nurse who spend all her time in here, you know nothing about what’s going on outside. So just shut that pit you call mouth and stop saying nonsense”.Jeanann retorted and I gasped.
“Jean! That was rude!”.I yelled.
The nurse had her head bent slightly to the floor and I could tell she was sad. Geez! Is Jeanann this rude?
“You too Grace, keep that pit of yours shut. You annoy me already”.She spat out and walked out of the ward angrily.
“You both shouldn’t mind her”.Kyree shrugged. “She was born rude!”.
I turned to him and let out a small sad smile.
“We should leave. My brother and the driver must be waiting!”.I said as I hung my backpack on my shoulders.
Thanks fully, Kyree had brought my backpack to Dylan’s ward after we realized the school bell was going ring soon.
“You’re right. Let’s go!”.Kyree said as he hung his backpack on his shoulders. He brought his backpack too..
“Huh…wait! You guys haven’t answered my question”.The nurse said and we turned to her.
“I asked if I should inform the patient that you both found him unconscious and brought him here”.She added but I shook my head, different thoughts were just flying around my head.
Dylan? He is still the dangerous guy, right? He still is.. I can’t trust him, no I can’t.
“Please….don’t!” I answered lowly before walking out of the ward.

It took me few minutes before getting close to the parking lot. My head was down all through the walk, I was thinking about Dylan but suddenly my mind flashed to Dave. Oh Dave!
I immediately blocked Kyree’s way in flash.
“Um…Kyree, you should stop following me”.I said and he frowned slightly.
“Why?”. He asked, confused.
“Well, my brother might flare up seeing you with me and I don’t… want anything bad to occur”.I said politely and he shrugged, unconcerned.
“Who cares…? His reaction wouldn’t stop me from escorting you to your car”.He said with a scoff.
“Oh please Kyree. Don’t be so stubborn”.I said as a frown fought it way to my face.
“Don’t you wanna know why he don’t like seeing you with me? Well, the reason is so clear, it’s because he is jealous of me” He said and I scoffed out loudly.
“Jealous of you?”.I chuckled. “Dave is never jealous of anyone”.
“Am sure am right Grace, he is so jealous of me”.I could sense a hint of proudness in his voice.
“As I said Kyree, Dave is never jealous of anyone. Believe it or not!”.I rolled my eyes and he pouted, that made him undeniable cute.
“Whatever, I would still escort you to your car but if you don’t want me to, I will agree but only on one condition”.He said smirking.
“What is it, Kyree?”.I was now impatient. I needed to go meet Dave cause am so sure am late.
“It’s a simple condition Grace, stop calling me Kyree, please call me Ky. It isn’t hard to pronounce it, besides it’s the short form but you hardly call me Ky instead you call Kyree. I do love it whenever you call me Ky so I hope you will master the name so that I wouldn’t have to follow you to your car not minding what that brother of yours says”.He said and I sighed heavily.
“Fine! Prince Ky, can I go now?”.I asked and swears, I saw his cheeks go pink but it quickly changed back to it real color.
“Wow, that is so sweet. I guess you should start addressing me as prince Ky instead of Ky, don’t you think so?”.He was beaming.
“Gish! Don’t be so dramatic, Kyr…Oops! I mean Ky”.I put on a fake frown.
“Just go now before that brother of yours finds you here” He laughed and I nodded before walking away.
I met Dave sweating as he operated his phone, the driver Mr Lucas was out of the car and he was roaming his eyes around.
“What the heck! Grace!!”.Dave exclaimed as his gaze dropped on me.
“Am so sorry for…”.
“It’s okay, I understand. Get into the car!”.
He knew about Dylan sudden unconsciousness, everyone in school heard of it. The news spread in school seconds after Dylan was brought to the school clinic.
Some people even knew I and Kyree rescued him and Dave was among those people who knew. That was why he wasn’t scolding me for arriving late because he knew I was with Dylan.
I smiled widely and got to the car while my mind was absent, I was thinking of Dylan.
