PROLOGUE
I hesitated a little before entering the class but immediately I did I caught him,Dylan staring at me.
His eyes which were dark as usual pierced into my soul and just then it felt like time paused.
I stared at him admiring his handsomeness.His hair,his eyes,his face,his shape was WOW!
I didn’t want him to take his glance away like he usually does and surprisedly, I didn’t want to take my glance away too.
I foolishly smiled and even though I knew I was behaving stupidly,I couldn’t help it.I was lost!
My smile got really wide,so wide that my cheeks formed a huge balloon.
I was sure he noticed cause he did something that snapped me out of his charms.
He smirked!

Grace is an African – American from a country named Nigeria to be precise.
Her mum who was an American got married to Mr Uchenna,a rich and successful businessman who comes from Nigeria.
Her family who now lives in Nigeria relocated to America due to the businesses her dad had to handle there in America.
Grace isn’t the only child. She has an elder brother named David and is expecting to have a younger brother from her pregnant mum.
But what happens when she attends a school – Spring Academy – that changed her life?
What happens when she comes in contact with Dylan who is considered to be the most handsome but yet, the most feared guy in school?
Who is Dylan??
Dylan is a student of Springs Academy and a classmate of Grace who is rumored to have chopped off the fingers of a girl who splashed ice cream on him mistakenly.
It isn’t even a rumor in school cause every student didn’t believe it to be so.
Shockingly, this Dylan guy identity is unknown. No one knows who he is,where he comes from,who his parents are, just nothing!
His identity is a secret!
But what happens when the secretive Dylan comes in contact with Grace?
What happens when Grace finally gets to know who Dylan is?
Who he is?
Why he is being secretive?
Why is his identity unknown?
What happens when Grace finds out Dylan is dangerous more than she imagined?

Chapter One
??GRACE POV
The car pulled over at a huge black gate and everyone stepped out of the car.I took a quick, brief glance at the house which was visible within the gate and a smile lingered on my lips.
Seeing that everyone was taking their luggage out of the car boot,I went to take mine too.I held the handle as I drew it out of the car boot.
“Home sweet home”.Mum muttered,her right hand on her big tummy and the other on her luggage.
All of us glanced at the house in admiration.It was a mansion,tiled all over beautifully. A garden could be seen beside it and beautiful flowers were grown there.A little house tiled was close to the gate and I couldn’t help but gasped. Dad really have a good taste!
“This house is beautiful Grace”.Dave whispered to me.He was at my left.
“Of course,what do you expect? A cracked up old house with unkempt bushes around it?”.I whispered back and we both chuckled.
Dad seem to have noticed we were tired of standing so he brought his phone to his palm and dial a number.
“Hello…yeah…..We are here at the gate……Please hurry”.He disconnected the call and glanced at the little visible house close to the gate and before the count of two,a white man with grey eyes walked out through the gate.
He wrote a red shirt,dark shorts and a dark shoes.His hair was combed backwards giving him the ‘cute’ look.He seems to be in his thirties..
“Welcome sir”.He said to dad and his eyes raced to us.
“Please call me Uchenna or Uche,whosoever pleases you”.Dad said and he flashed his teeth at dad. We were all watching them talk,well except Dave who won’t take his eyes off his phone.
“Okay U..c…he”.He didn’t get the pronunciation though.
He opened the gate with a remote few seconds later and we all walked into the wide compound struggling with our luggage except mum.Dad was holding her luggage as well as his.
Dad opened the door to the house with a key and we were all gasping as we walked in.
The living room was looking more beautiful and colorful than our former house in Lagos, Nigeria.
A huge TV,the latest and most expensive in planet Earth was plastered on the wall and the four white cozy sofas around added much beauty to the living room.
The colourful glassy fan on the ceiling was flashing different colors and wind on us as it rotated making me feel sleep immediately. Wow!
A woman dressed in a yellow gown and white apron walked down to us.She was chocolate in complexion and her accent shows who she was.She was an African – American.
“Good evening everyone. My name is Nancy,am your new maid”.She smiled but nobody answered her except dad who nodded his head.
“We didn’t speak much on the phone the last time I called,did we miss Nancy?”.Dad asked but the woman named Nancy shook her head.
“We didn’t sir,you were about asking me some questions, right?”.She answered dad’s question,adding another question and by the time they finished,I felt a lame feeling in my feet.
“Hmm please Nancy,show us to our rooms”.Mum must have read my mind cause she said the same thing I was thinking.
“Of course ma,you all must exhausted. Please,you all should follow me to your rooms”.She said and began walking away while we followed after her.
A beep came from my phone and I quickly checked it out,it was a message from Victoria,my best friend in Nigeria.
?Have you arrives in the US,yet?”.
That was her message and I began tying.
?Yes,the US have many interesting places even the house my dad bought is quite big”.
I sent but didn’t get a reply from her so I turned off my phone.
Miss Nancy showed mum and dad their room first before Dave and then me.I didn’t get why I had to be the last and to think of climbing the stairs was…Ugh!
Finally,I got to my room.It was a very beautiful room with a pink bed,pink blanket and pillows.There was also a pink wardrobe, in fact everything and everywhere was pink even the tiles and I felt excited.
Best room ever..
I began filling my clothes from my luggage into the empty wardrobe and when I was done, I decided to take a shower.
I took off my clothes till I was unclad,then I wrapped my towel around my body before walking to the bathroom.
The bathroom had a shower,a jacuzzi and a water system toilet.It had everything I needed!
I took a bath in the Jacuzzi for more than ten minutes and when I was done, I walked back to my bedroom and put on a white top and green short.
Then I jumped on the soft comfy bed for a short nap.

I woke up when I felt a tap on my arm,my vision were blurry at first but after few seconds,I was able to recognize the person who woke me up.It was Dave!
“Sleepyhead”.He rolled his eyes and I knocked him lightly on his forehead.
“Ouch! What was that for?”.He groaned and I instantly knew he was pretending to be hurt.
“For waking me up”.
“But mum told me to go get you to the dining room downstairs”.He huffed.
“Whatever”.
“Fine! I will leave you to find the dining room yourself”.He scoffed and began walking away.
“What! David!!”.I yelled but he was already out of my room.
I hurriedly followed after him after putting on a slipper.I climbed the stairs and sighed when I finally found him close to a large room which look like a dining room.
I tapped him and he turned to me.
“What?”.He voiced out rather roughly.
“Am sorry for hitting you”.I said,joining my hands together in a pleading way.I know he wasn’t angry,he was just pretending to be but I have to make him pay for that.
“And?” He scoffed again.
“And for being rude”.I said trying hard not to roll my eyes.
“Yep,for being rude to your elder brother”.He frowned playfully.
“Have apologize!”
“Who says I haven’t forgiven you”.He smiled and I smiled too but boom! I pinched him on his cheek before running away.
“Grace! Come back here!!”.He half yelled but I was already out of sight.
I chuckled as I easily located the dining room while following some sounds I heard and there I saw dad,mum,miss Nancy and the gatekeeper sitting on the dining chairs.The gatekeeper and Miss Nancy food were untouched.
“You don’t have to do this sir,we could have just eaten somewhere else”.Miss Nancy said looking so grateful but dad shrugged.
“Why wouldn’t you eat here? After all, the chairs are enough for us all so I don’t see any reason why I would allow you guys to go eat somewhere else when they is enough food here. Besides,Nancy you look so grateful,don’t cover up your expression like if you really don’t wanna eat dinner here. Am sure Liam would agree with me,right Liam?”.Dad asked and the gatekeeper turned to look at dad.
Oh! His name is Liam..nice name.
“Of course,I don’t see any reason to disagree. You are willingly asking us to eat with you in your dining room and it will be rude to say no”.Mister Liam(He might be married or single,Grace don’t know) said,flashing his usual smile at everyone.
“You should eat with us,dear”.Mum was saying to miss Nancy. “It will be wrong to refuse”.
“Thank you so much sir,thank you”.Miss Nancy sniffed lowly.
It seem like if dad heard some sounds made by me cause he quickly stared at me.
“Oh! Grace,you are here”.He said but I almost frowned,I can’t believe he just notice my presence.
And Geez! I really need to sit,have been standing since I got here.
Immediately I sat on one of the dining chairs Dave walked in with a boyish grin on his face.
He sat next to me and I felt heat rushed through me when I remembered what I did to him.I hope he won’t revenge..
“You are so bad,hope you know that?”.He whispered to me and I turned to face him.
“Have I done anything wrong?”.I asked laughing loudly inside me,I was trying so hard not to laugh it out.
“You are seriously so unbelievable!”.He laughed and I was force to laugh out too.
Mum,dad,miss Nancy and mister Liam all turned to look at us but quickly drop back their glances on their meal.
The meal served was omelette though it was my first time eating it but I truely enjoyed it.
I had to wash the dishes since miss Nancy left to her home and mum had complain of stomach ache so dad told her to go rest.
I played a song titled ‘Joromi’ which was sang by one of my favorite Nigerian musicians, Similola and wow,I sang it till it ended.
“Hey,you done?”.Dave said as he walked into the kitchen chewing a carrot.
“Your voice sucks!”I mocked with a laugh.He was actually trying out the British accent which completely made his voice sound funny.
“Whatever. Dad wants us both in the living room”.He said and left the kitchen.
I followed after him wondering why dad sent for us.
“Good evening,dad”.I and Dave greeted as soon as we got to the living room.
We relaxed our bodies on the sofa and watch dad drink his glass cup filled with wine.
“Hmm..”.He cleared his throat and took a sip of the drink before dropping the glass cup on the silver table in the living room.
“Get ready Grace and Dave”.He began. “You will begin school tomorrow”.
