CAMILLE’S POV
“Camille, what’s wrong. You have Been brooding ever since we came back. Is something wrong?” Annie asked worriedly.
I was on my bed covered in my duvet in deep thoughts.
“I’m fine.” I said.
“You aren’t, obviously!” Annie muttered.
“I am. I just want to be alone”
“Sorry to say but I can’t leave you like this.”
My phone started ringing. I picked it to see Harry’s name on the caller ID. I hurriedly cut the call.
“What’s wrong?” Annie asked suspiciously.
“Nothing!” I answered immediately.
“I don’t believe you. Just tell me”
I was about to talk when my phone started ringing again. Annie beat me to it and quickly picked my phone.
She picked the call. “Hi Harry. Camille isn’t fine. Can you please come over now”
I heard Harry’s voice say “okay” and I groaned.
“Why would you do that!” I frowned when she dropped the call.
“Because I want to. Duh!”
“God! This isn’t good!” I said frustratedly.

Less than 10 minutes later, Harry came over and Annie exit the room leaving us alone.
“You shouldn’t have come” I said.
What if Miranda saw him when he was entering my house. That would just put me in more trouble.
“What’s wrong with you?” He asked worriedly.
“What are we?” I suddenly asked and he looked slightly taken aback with the question.
“Camille…I want you to be my girlfriend” he said taking my hands in his.
“That’s the problem. I don’t love you” I said taking my eyes off his.
“Well, I don’t believe you” He said his hands still on mine and I don’t even have the energy to remove his hands.
“I’m saying the truth” I said forcing myself not to cry.
“Then look into my eyes and boldly tell me you don’t love me”
I took a deep breath and turned to face him but you couldn’t even look at his face.
Dmn you camille!
“I knew you were lying” he said softly. “But why? You don’t want to date me?” He asked and I nodded.
“Why?” He inquired.
“Because…i’m married” and there, I said it.
“Wha..what!” He stuttered.
“That’s right, I’m still married and dating you would be cheating..”
“But I thought…”
“You know nothing. Because I’m here doesn’t change anything. I’m still legally married to Asher and you and I can’t work”
“You still love him?” He asked.
“Yes” I said the tears threatening to fall. He nodded and when I looked at him, his eyes were red and I’m afraid he is going to break down anytime soon.
He removed his hands from mine and I felt a part of me leave me.
“I’m sorry. It’s my fault for falling in love with a married woman. You can go back to your Asher. It’s fine” he smiled but I knew the smile didn’t reach his eyes.
My Asher? He isn’t my Asher! It’s Harry I want.
But Miranda…
Her words …

I would Only be greedy if I decides to have Harry to myself.
I just have to let him go. He would be happy with Miranda.
“Have a nice life camille” He said and I nodded and with that, he left the room immediately.
The tears fell willingly now. The tears I have been trying to hold. I don’t even know if I did the right thing or not.
I tried wiping my tears but it kept falling so I just let it fall. The door opened and Annie entered looking angry.
“Well, you are stupid” was the first word she said.
“You are just going to let him go. Just like that…” She said.
“Yeah?”
“I would say this again. You are stupid!”
“Annie, I’m still married” I said cleaning my tears.
“So..to a beast called Asher”
“But the reality is I’m still married to him”
“Can’t you just forget about him and start a new life” Annie groaned.
“That’s not even possible”
“You still love him, then go back to him. I really do not care. But one thing is sure, you lost Harry” she said and left the room angrily.
Well, she is right! I lost Harry already. But I won’t blame myself because it isn’t my fault.
Hell, it wasn’t. I did what I did to protect him and myself.

I couldn’t sleep. I was crying throughout the night. I knew there was no way Harry and I could work again and the more I think about it, the more it pierce my heart. I woke up around 5 and sat up on the bed.
The hurtful words I said to Harry came to my mind and I sniffled.
But thinking about it, I realized it is actually true. I’m still married to Asher and there is no way I can escape that.
“But you don’t want Asher but Harry” my sub conscious said to me and I nodded positively.
I wonder what’s going on with Asher at the moment. Is he looking for me or is have he forgotten about me.
Perhaps he have remarried.
Without a second thought, I cleaned my tears and walked to the bathroom.
After taking my bath, I dressed up and checked myself in the mirror.
My eyes are red and I looked like a walking dead. I went to my wardrobe and started packing my clothes in a bag.
I have made up my mind already and There’s nothing that would stop me.
With teary eyes, I packed my clothes.
