MAX POV
“What is there to talk about, the child doesn’t belong to Max, that girl is just a gold digger who was after Max wealth, we had to find a way to get rid of her some how”my father said softly
“But what If she hadn’t been lying? What if that child had belonged to Max?”my mom asked
“She lied and why are you suddenly bringing that up, it’s been so long since it happened” he said swiftly
“Just keep on forgetting it, have forgotten it already, you should do ……….”
“Max!” My mom called when she saw me walk in
“What did you just say?”I said as I walked into the room
“How long have you been there?” My father asked
“Just answer my question dmnit!!”I yelled at them
“It has nothing to do with you, so just leave!”my father said
“Don’t get me more angry fatter”I yelled at him
“You see we were………..”
“Don’t say any thing to him “my father warned interrupting my mom
“It’s been sixteen years already, don’t you think we have kept it long buried enough,even if the child doesn’t belong to him, he has the right to know”she yelled at my father
And then she walked towards me,giving me a apologetic look
“Andrea was pregnant sixteen years ago “she began softly
“And?”I questioned
“She said it was yours”she said softly
“And?”
“We didn’t believe her and your father made her leave ” she finished softly
“And you think now is the proper time to tell me this?” I asked
“Is nothing to make a fuss about, the child is not even ………….”
“How the he.ll did you know that!”I yelled at him angrily
“Because I can tell a gold digger when I see ……….”
He couldn’t finish his word because I pushed the table over spilling all the content on it
“What’s going on ?”Rose yelled as she ran into the room
“What right did you have to do that?”I yelled at him
” Did you try to confirm if she was lying it not, Andrea was the first girl I ever loved, I was the first guy in her life,the only one!!!”I yelled out at him
“That girl is………”
“Any more insults on her would cost you a lot from me”I said
“Max you have to calm down, we didn’t mean to lie to you” my mom said
“You didn’t mean to! You did it just to separate me from Andrea, thats why she hates me, I left her when she needed me the most ”
“You are now married to Rose, you should forget about that girl…….”
“Or what? You will harm her like you threatened me before, am no longer the seventeen year old said that to, am a man now and am powerful on my own and if you dare touch Andrea or my child then I will show you what am made of “I said and turned to leave only for Rose to block my path
“If you leave,I will take Daniel with me and you will never get to see them again” she said but I pushed her away and ran out of the house,heading straight to Andrea home.

ANDREA POV
“Aren’t you going to go to work?” My mom asked as I walked down the stairs
“I will but I will be a little late today”I said
“Why?”she asked
“I have to talk to Max” I said
“And the earlier I tell him,the better”I added as I sat by the chair,dialling his number.
“What about Mary and Daniel?”I asked
“They already left for school, I will be at back yard, I have to do some gardening”she said
“Okay Mom”I said as I put my attention on the call.
It kept on ringing but he never picked, I stopped dialling when I heard the bell ring
“Mom can you get that!”I said as began to dial again but when the person at the door kept on ringing the bell, I realised that my mom already left the house.
“Just come in!”I said to who ever is there.
The door opened and i kept on dialling , a phone began to ring in the house but I didn’t notice.
My whole concentration was focused on calling Max and just then he answered the call
“Hello”I stopped when I heard the voice in the house too, I turned only to see him standing by the door way starring at me
“Max”I called dropping the phone in my hand
“You weren’t expecting to see me here right?”he asked
“I …….I wasn’t really expecting you” I replied
He stared at me for a long period of time and then he walked past me to take a picture of Mary.
What’s Wrong? I thought as I stared at him, he held the picture for a while and then stared at me again
“Did you really hate me that much?”he asked
“What do you mean?”I asked
“Mary is my child right?”He asked
“How do you know?”I asked
“You must really hate me “he said again
“Max! ”
“You told me she wasn’t mine, you told me that because you hate me, you made me believe that the child I had with you was never mine”he said looking so hurt
“You are right! I lied because I wanted you to suffer the same way I suffered in the past, I didn’t want you to be a part of our lives but all of that changed when you told me the real reason you left years ago, I knew you had a right to know about Mary”I said softly
“The day you called me sixteen years ago, did you know that you were pregnant already”He asked softly and i nodded
“I really am a je.rk”he said as he began to sob gently
I couldn’t help but to walk towards him and pulled him to a hug.
“I should have been there for you but instead I behaved like a total je.rk, I told you hurtful things and caused you more Sadness”he said as he held me close
“It’s not your fault Max,it’s not”i said as I hugged him tight
“Am sorry Andrea!am sorry for every thing that have happened to you because of me ,am really sorry about it “he kept on apologising even though he had nothing to apologise for.
“What is going here?”some one said behind us.

MARY POV
“You look a bit gloomy”Daniel said as the taxi kept on driving us to school
“Me? I don’t think so”I replied quickly .
“You can tell me what is wrong you know”he said holding my hand in his
I don’t Know why but have been having a strange feeling ever since I woke up.
A feeling that some thing bad will happen and it pull Daniel and I apart.
“Am just happy Daniel, happy to have you by my side”I said,I couldn’t tell him the real reason to my gloominess.
“Like wise here darling”he said giving me a peck.
We got to school and got out of the taxi together .
Luckily there were hardly any students and so we weren’t being watched.
Why don’t you go ahead, I will come behind you ” I said softly
“I wish we could go public already, I always want you around me and having you close by and not being able to touch you will certainly drive me mad” he said
“Me too but we can make up for it after school, we can go to the cinema or better yet to wherever you want, I noticed that you only went to the places I chose, you can chose wherever you want us to go this time”I said and he gave me a smile
“Fine then, see you after school”he said and walked in
I stood there watching him leave and some how I felt that I would be losing him.
Just what is wrong with me? I thought as I walked in a while later.
I was still walking in when some one came to pull my hand.
“James! What are you doing!let me go”I said trying to pull free but he kept pulling me until we going to the school parking lot
“What is wrong with you!”I yelled at him
“I should be asking you that? What are you doing with daniel? Why did you get out of the same car as he?”he asked
“It’s none of your business”I said trying to walk away but he pulled me back
“Answer me! What is going on between you and Daniel?”he asked
“We are dating! We are dating okay! I like Daniel and have chosen him “I said as he stood still starring at me .
