Derica awkwardly looked the people that seemed as if they were having a staring competition before the girl retracted her gaze
Derica was beginning to feel more awkward and uncomfortable with her wondering if she should say something to lighten the tension
Louise who had been facing the door slowly turned around to walk back to the bed
“I think I’m tired now Rica”
She said to the nurse
Derica sighed in relief that at least one person had decided to speak and she immediately nodded
Ryan was surprised to see Louise walking on her own though slow but it was still a happy thing
“can I talk to you Louise?
Ryan requested before Louise could take the second step
“Please leave Mr”
Louise answered back without turning to look at Ryan
Derica was shocked
just how did these two know each other?
And why is Louise giving the man a cold shoulder?
“Leave us”
Derica was perplexed
was he referring to her?
Just to be sure, Derica looked at Ryan who in turn looked directly at her and repeated
“Leave us”
Louise shook her head in disbelief
Was this guy being serious?
Asking her friend to leave in her own ward?
“Derica stay”
Louise said to Derica
Before Derica could affirm, Ryan glared at her
“I need a moment with her”
“I don’t want to talk to you so Derica stays”
Louise stubbornly opposed
Derica smiled nervously between them
What the h’ll is going on?!!
She screamed within herself
Ryan felt like laughing out of anger
He was a womanizer and he had been so used to girls doing his bid so as to not upset him that he was finding it difficult to realize the fact that a weak woman was actually countering his words
“It’s been two years you started working here in Devron, am I right?
Ryan asked with a calm smile
His question directed at Derica
Derica was shocked
How did he know?
Then her eyes widened in realization
Their boss, Mr Wilfred has a best friend who was none other than the almighty Dylan himself and then Dylan Donovan has but one brother
Oh my God!!!
Ryan Donovan!!!!!
Sensing the change in Derica’s facial expression, Louise became worried
“Is everything okay?
She asked
Derica smiled at Louise
“Um L-Louise, I-I have to go check up on something right now okay, I’ll be back before you know it”
Louise didn’t want her to leave and so she tried stopping her but Derica was long gone from the ward
Seeing Derica gone, Louise continued to ignore the man in front of her and continued walking to her bed
“I need to talk to you Louise”
Ryan repeated
“well I don’t want to”
Louise said but she tripped and almost fell after all, her legs weren’t stable and firm on her own yet
Just when she braced herself for the incoming pain, she was held by two firm arms in a strong grip around her waist to steady her from falling
