I quickly arranged the files on my table.
I was preparing to leave my office and go pick up my betrothal.
I never wanted to, but my dad made me swear I was gonna. So as the devil I was, I agreed to be a quite gentleman and obey my dad.
I entered my car and the driver started driving, I had to keep myself busy cos I wasn’t really a fan of nature and all that.
I took my phone and started going through some business mails.
Then my dad called…
?Geez dad, the call ain’t necessary. I’m on my way to her house
?Are u sure?
?Yep
And I ended the call

We finally arrived at her place and the driver came down to go call her. But before he could get to the door, it was already opened and my supposed bride came out with her family.
They were hugging her and wishing her farewell.
The whole nonsense ended like after 7 minutes and she entered the car after her bags were put inside the car.

So the devil himself was sitting in the car. He couldn’t even come and greet my parents, his supposed “ IN-LAWS ”
I wonder if this marriage will ever work.
We’re not meant for each other at all. We’re two different people.
He was just busy on his phone like I was inexistent, he didn’t even ask me how my day was or if I really wanna be his wife.
And even if he does ask me if I wanna be his wife, I’ll say a very big “NO”.
I was bored and the only way to kill my boredom was to take a short nap cos I was tired.

” Yeah move it to the left ” I said to one of our attendants.
Dad was planning a surprise party for Alfredo’s wife and I was in charged in handling the venue, which was our house.
I had to make sure the whole place was perfect.
I want his new wife to be happy and comfortable here….
” Abner, What’s going on here? ” and that was our elder sister,Jade.
” Sis,you’re back…. ”
” Yes I am and I asked a question which needs an answer ASAP ”
She’s kinda bossy but sweet, she’s the best
” Dad is throwing a party for Alfredo’s soon to be wife ”
” Really? ”
” Yeah. Ain’t you aware? ”
” How will i… When you guys don’t tell me anything ” she said and hit me on the shoulder with her purse.
” Ouch!That kinda hurt sis ” I said as she left,she only smirked.
” Where’s the bride and groom?
“said Noah.
The first son and the second child.
I looked at my wrist watch….
