I got home.
I got into my room and was shocked to see rose there.
” WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? I asked coldly.
I felt angry seeing her in my room.
Haven’t I warned her to stay her limit if she still wants to continue staying here?
She gasped shocked and turned.
” I..I..I…was..was…” She stuttered.
” Didn’t you hear what I said? I asked moving close to her slowly.
” Am…I…” She stuttered moving back slowly.
Her back hit the wall.
She stopped moving and shut her eyes tightly.
” What are you doing in here” I yelled.
” Am..am… sorry” she said frightened.
” Are you here to steal? I smirked.
She looked at me surprised.
” Talk'” I yelled.
” Am.. not..here to steal anything” she said.
” Then why are you in my room? Haven’t I warned you? I asked.
She shut her eyes and took a deep breathe.
” I actually saw your door opened so I decided to help you arrange your room” she said.
” Really? I asked.
She nodded her head with her eyes shut.
” Haven’t I warned you to stay in your limit? Did I ask for your help? I yelled.
She got scared.
” Am.. am.. sorry… please…” She stuttered.
” I should have known you to be a gold digger first you came in here in pretence to take care of my children.. you already gain their love and you think the next person is me right? I asked coldly.
She shook her head negatively.
” Really? Am sure you are in my room to steal.” I said.
” No” she said
” Tell me what do you want to steal I can just give it to you.. is it money? Jewelries or what? Tell me” I yelled.
She looked at me shocked.
” Tell me young woman” I yelled holding her arm.
She winced.
” You are hurting me” she said.
” Tell me” I yelled.
” Am not a thief and I didn’t come here for your money” she shouted.
I released her arm.
I arched my brow.
” I didn’t come here for you. I only came here because mum and dad wanted me to and am only here for the kids” she said panting.
” Really? I scoffed.
She nodded her head and cleaned the tears that welled up in her eyes.
I laughed.
” I know women like you. You are just here for luxury. I Know your parents don’t have what it takes to give you a good life then you decided to come here maybe you could get a chance with me” I yelled.
” You can’t say anything you want against me but I won’t tolerate a word against my parents” she said pointing a finger at me.
I laughed.
” Oh I see you are now brave right? You know I can ruin your miserable life within a seconds” I said.
She looked at me.
My phone rang.
I picked it up.
” Yes I will be there shortly”.
” Now leave my room” I yelled.
She scurried out.
? Rose ?
I was only trying to help him but he insulted in instead.
He accused me of telling.
I didn’t know when the boldness came from but I can’t tolerate a word against my parents.
He doesn’t know them.
He doesn’t have to right to insult them.
I got into my room and fell on the bed.
I cried hard.
Mum, dad why?
You hadn’t leave me I wouldn’t be here today?
I cried so hard that I had no tears left.
I fell asleep.
I felt someone tapped me.
” Mum, mum wake up”
I opened my eyes and saw Mabel and Angel.
They are back from school already.
” You are back? I asked.
” Yes mum, we are back” Angel said with a smile.
” Mum, why are you sleeping? Mabel asked.
” Am just a bit tired”
” Sorry mum” angel said.
I smiled.
” Why are you calling me mum? I asked.
” Don’t you like us calling you mum? Angel asked with a sad face
” It’s nothing like that Angel it is okay if you call me mum but earlier this morning it was ma’am rose then at school it is mum.i just wanted why you decided to start calling me that” I said with a smile.
” Ever since you came here, you took care of us like our mum, you love us so much I know dad doesn’t like you but you still care for us like your own children” angel said.
I smiled.
,” You are just like a mum because it is only a mum who can do all what you are doing” Angel added.
” Even if dad doesn’t like you we won’t stop calling you mum because you are our mum” Mabel said.
A tear dropped from my eyes.
I smiled.
” Thanks so much angel , thank you Mabel” I said hugging them
” We love you mum” they said.
” I love you too” I said hugging them
” Now let’s go to your room” i said.
We got into the room and I arranged it.
We got down and ate some snacks.
We retired to the sitting room.
” How was school today? I asked.
” It was fine mum”
” Any assignment? I asked.
” Not yet mum, this is just the first day of resumption” angel said.
” Okay”
.
It is evening.. time for dinner.
” Girls I will like to make dinner now” I said standing up.
” Okay”
Nathaniel came in.
Our eyes met but I looked away.
” Dad, dad” the kids yelled running to him.
I walked away going into the kitchen.
