Episode 32
We have to attend the event together on Sunday. I dislike being late, so make sure you’re on time.
Don’t wander around and come home early the night before,” she said, her hand still on my chest.
“Why… Unfortunately, Ahana? I’m sure we’ll have a great time.
Won’t we?” I said, winking at her and glancing at her hand on my chest.
She quickly withdrew her hand and turned to leave, but I pulled her towards me.
I held her back against my chest, wrapping my arms around her. It felt wonderful.
With my chin resting on her shoulder, I knew I shouldn’t be doing this.
She squirmed for a moment, but I knew she understood that I wasn’t going to let her go easily after all this time.
We both knew what we were doing to each other. I closed my eyes, taking in her perfume.
“Ansh… Let me go. I need to leave,” she said, but she didn’t make any effort to free herself. It seemed like she was enjoying it.
“What if I don’t?” I said.
Suddenly, her phone started ringing. She immediately pulled away from me as I loosened my grip. She looked at the caller ID and a huge smile appeared on her face.
“Then you’ll find out soon, Ansh,” she said, playfully punching me in the stomach. I wondered who brought a smile to her face.
Finally, she answered the call and was still in my office.
“J!!” she exclaimed while leaving. Anger started to build up within me.
I felt so agitated. Why does he always call at the wrong time? I followed Ahana.
“We are the best… And J’s my hero,” she said, laughing. I overheard her. Is this how they always talk? Hero and Queen… Nonsense.
I wondered as I returned to my office. Do they always speak like that?
And how many times does he call her in a day? What were they talking about?
I stole a glance out of my window, and she was smiling even more. I felt my cheeks burning.
I don’t know why, but I still felt angry and agitated. Why does she feel so happy talking to him?
But why should I care? Yet, she’s on my mind constantly.
Huh! Does she think I’m a player? That I’ll be late for the event? I’ve planned everything perfectly, and I know she’ll love it.

AHANA’S POV
I think going to Ansh’s office was a mistake. Of all the days when we wouldn’t talk, he starts acting strange when I’m there to speak to him.
But I don’t know what happens to me when he touches me. I get butterflies all over my body. If anyone else even tries to come near me, they would regret it.
What was he doing by holding me there? Thank goodness Jaai called; otherwise, I don’t know what would have happened.
Whenever Ansh is around, he creates so much awkwardness between us. Too much awkwardness…
But I wonder what Ansh might be thinking. He surely must be angry when Jaai called. But why should I really care?
Jaai called after a long time. He said she was having fun. Come on, at least he seems happy.
I have a lot of work to do apart from the office workload. I have a party to organize. I even have to buy a gift for Ansh.
I hope he likes it. I need to call Piya to make sure she informs all his close friends.
I am sure he’ll enjoy. Just thinking about making him happy makes me feel good.
I had asked my designer, Fray, to design a simple dress for the charity event, which she did with perfection.
I was all ready to depart, but still, there was no sign of Ansh.
I just wish he isn’t late today. Ma must be waiting for us. I take a last glance at the mirror and descend downstairs.
“Ahana… Are you going to the charity event?” I saw Dad too coming into the living room.
“Yes, Dad. I wish you could join too, but I know the health check-up is equally important,” I said.
