We are just showing how happy we are with that person and how we appreciate what that person did for us. It’s a way to show your gratitude. That’s it.” She said.
But… Seriously… Did she say it was her Best Day… That too, spending it with me. Maybe with the kids.
“So, is my wife pleased with me?”
Before she could answer, the phone was ringing.
“Yes, Ma… We are on our way. Ansh is with me. We’ll reach in just an hour.” She said.
Without wasting time, I quickly grabbed her hand and we set off. I knew Ma must be waiting for us. The entire ride, Ahana held my hand.
Although she was so strong internally, she was equally emotional.
“You didn’t answer me….” I said, leaning towards her ear.
She looked at me and smiled. Her next action surprised me.
She seemed a bit off. She came closer to me, rested her head on my shoulders, and closed her eyes. I pulled her closer.
I knew she stays up late at night and needs rest.
She looked so serene. I can’t hurt her anymore. I know I have already given her so much pain, and despite all this, she has never been angry with me.
I don’t know how she can control herself so much. I can’t do this. If I stay near her, my darkness will take her light away.
I have to stay away from her. She is so pure and delicate. I know I don’t deserve her, and she deserves the best, not Ansh.
I have to believe that this is all temporary and will fade away one day.
And that day, I know Ahana will break. I can’t let that happen to her. I gave her a look.
Her head perfectly rested on my chest. I couldn’t help myself, so deciding that it would be my last kss that I steal from her, I planted a soft kiss on her forehead.
I think she didn’t realize it. She was already fast asleep.
Our ride was a bit long, and she had a good amount of rest. But I need to think quickly about what I need to do so that it becomes less difficult for me to stay away, because I know all this is temporary.
It’s just a silly attraction. In real life, one doesn’t have the power to love someone else because they know they can’t handle it. And there isn’t anything like love here….
But… Seriously… Am I correct… I don’t know…. It’s a kind of feeling that makes you want more of it. You can’t get enough of it ever.
But you are just worried that if this situation causes a separation between us then…
But what if I am already getting involved or I have already become deeply invested… Somewhere profound that I can’t escape from…

ANSH’S POV
When we reached the Sehgal’s, Ahana was still sleeping. She looked so cute, no one will say that this sweet slim girl handles a company worth billions all on her own.
To describe Ahana would really be a task.
Actually, I have never seen a girl like her whom I would want to describe.
Ahana is surely different from the very beginning.
The more you know about her, the more you would like to know her. But sadly, I am not fortunate enough to know her.
All I could say is that she is someone whom you would like to keep to yourself forever.
I liked how her brownish-black silky hair fell on her pink cheeks. A feather could easily slide through those locks.
She wasn’t so skinny nor so plump. Everything she wore made her look perfect. The glossy lips and those hazel eyes.
“Hey! Sleepyhead. We have reached. Would you like me to leave you alone here because I am hungry now…” I said.
“Shut up… I am hungry too.” She said, opening and rubbing her eyes.
We went inside, and everyone was already waiting for us.
“You too took a lot of time. Were you off on a date or something? Hope we didn’t disturb you?” Ma said, winking. Both the dads and grandads were laughing.
Dad and grandad came directly from the doctor’s. They looked like one big complete family that anyone would dream of.
“What nonsense, Ma. There was a lot of traffic which resulted in the delay.” Ahana said, rubbing her eyes even more.
“You too look tired and sleepy, honey.” Ma said to Ahana.
“Is it, Ahana? Was there a lot of traffic?
Ma, your honey was so busy sleeping that she didn’t realize that we have already reached.
I had to wait for 20 minutes till she woke up.” I said, laughing.
