Episode 90

Saying so, I jumped from the bed and rushed to the bathroom. I got ready in a hurry. I had a quick snack and a hot coffee.

When I reached the office, I saw Jaai’s and Ahana’s cars parked together.

When I hurried to my cabin, Jen was busy doing some work. Through the glass partition, I saw that Ahana wasn’t in her cabin.

“Jen… Where is Ahana?”

“Mam is with Jaai, sir. They were having a meeting with the telecommunications department half an hour ago.”

Oh! Why is he accompanying her?

“So where are they now?”

Jen… Jen…”

I heard someone calling her loudly. It was coming from the nearby lobby.

“It’s Jaai, sir’s voice.”

We both ran down the lobby now. I was really tensed now.

“Jen… Quickly call my car. Ahana has fainted.”

Wait… What… Ahana has fainted. I saw Jaai cradling her in his arms. They were sitting on the floor, with Ahana in his arms.

“Jen… What are you staring at? Call my car now…” I shouted.

“Leave her once. I am there to take care of her. I don’t need anyone’s help. She’s my wife,” I said, moving towards them.

“But… Ansh… It’s fine. I’ll carry her to the car. There is no reason to argue now. We need to see the doctor.”

“Leave her. You can go home. We are also going home. I’ll call the doctor home.”

“But…” I grabbed Ahana, who was in his arms, and they were sitting on the floor. I saw that we had gathered a good amount of crowd. My employees were trying to come near me.

“Get away…” I shouted.

“Sir… Your car is ready.”

I quickly held Ahana and rushed to the elevators. I didn’t give a darn about anyone. I didn’t care.

I placed Ahana in the car carefully. I quickly moved in from the other side and kept her head on my lap.

“Hello… Dr. Sharma, Ahana has fainted. Please come home quickly.” I had called our family doctor.

“Hey!! Ahana… Wake up. Look, I’m here now,” I said gently stroking her forehead.

I instructed my driver to speed up. I felt remorseful for my actions. I should have taken better care of her.

“Hey…. Open your eyes, Ahana…. Come on.” Oh, God…. Don’t let anything happen to her.

We arrived home, and Dr. Sharma was waiting at the doorway. I quickly picked up Ahana.

“Dr. Quickly…. To my room….”

I placed Ahana on the bed.

“You can wait outside, Ansh….”

After about 20 minutes, he came out. My condition was deteriorating. Thankfully, Dad and Grandad weren’t home.

“Dr. Is Ahana okay? And my baby?”

Yes…. My Baby….. I do care, of course…

“Hey! Don’t worry. They’re fine. Ahana just had low blood pressure.

I administered some medication. It would be advisable to consult her gynecologist, Mrs. Bhatt, as well. I was there when she first met her.”

“Oh, thank God…. Thanks, Dr. Is she still sleeping?”

“Hey!! Ahana, look… I’m sorry….. Please be okay!”

I kssed her hand and held it tightly.

I know this isn’t the end for us….
