“Everything,everything concerns me,your my best friend so is Nicolas,.Sophie,why are you turning Nicolas’ candle dark?why don’t you give him a chance? Sophie,have I ever forced you to like someone before?Sophie,am begging you, reconsider Nick please”Jenny pleaded with me as we enter her compound
G©sh,I wonder why everyone is siding with Nicolas.
“Are your parents around?”I changed the topic.
“No,they are on a business trip abroad”she said .
Just then ,we spotted promise.
“Promise,when did you arrive?”asked Jenny.
“Put that aside,Sophie,are you trying to kill my friend?”he said.
G©sh,please not again.
“Why don’t you guys stop it?am tired with this Nickolas issue”I said and just then Nick entered the compound. What a bad day.
“Sophie,we need to talk in private”he said but I ignored him.
“Am not interested”I said.
“It was not a request but a command”he said while holding my hand and led me behind the house.
“Let go off me!live me alone!what do you want from me?”I yelled and he let go off my hand.
“Nick,why don’t you just live alone!I arleady told you that it will never work between us,what’s your problem?”Nicolas kept looking at me saying nothing,I felt embarrassed and I shut up.
“Are you done adding more pain to my wounds? Are you now talking?”he said as tears knock in his eyes.
“Sophie,heat have I done wrong to you?Is loving you wrong? Now finally I’ve seen my downfall all because of love”he said throwing a school report to me. It was full of fail statements.
“Sophie,i feel like am now a living corpse all coz of you,why are out doin this to me?if I don’t have you,I will never love another girl. It’s better to die than seeing you with someone else. Sophie,if love is really heartbreaking,I wish both you and I were never born”he said as tears run down his cheeks. He looked at me for a while,before walking out of the compound.
I couldn’t help but she tears as well.
?A DAY LATER?
I sat on the veranda enjoying the sun while lost in thoughts when mom approached me.
“Sophie,go to the market and buy me a packet of salt”she said handing me some cash.
“Okey,but mom,can I ask you something?why do you forbid me from falling I love with a wealthy person?”I asked for the second time
“Sophie,are you hungry?”mom asked me.
“No,but..”
“Just go where I’ve sent you”she said and I couldn’t ask anymore.
