And now, to average my parents de.ath, she is being pvnished, chained to a wall of the palace without a roof. That’s where she stays or should I say live.
I was told she was the reason why I am this way. The left side of my face, half of my face, was cracked.
Four cracks that trail from my face down to my stomach, it just takes the mercy of the gods that my face didn’t fall off.
I can’t really see with my left eye, the lines from the crack started from my left eye. You know that feeling when you are looking into a deep dark hole and you can’t see anything? Yeah, that’s how my left side face.
Years back, I was always ashamed of my hideous look and thankfully, I have long hair which I use to cover the side of my face, but looking at the woman who had caused it, she is without a tongue and hands and yet she was always smiling especially when she sees me and that smile alone means a lot to me, no one hardly smile at me, even Haera.
I have learned to forgive Pula for what she did and embrace myself, we can’t change and dwell in the past.
Remember I told you there are two more people who like me the way I am apart from Ratha? Pula is one and the second one is the palace cook.
I took an apple and brought it to her mouth.
“Eat.” I said to her.
Pula sent me a smile before she began to eat the apple. Once she finishes eating one, I will give her another one and since she doesn’t have hands, I feed her.
“I will try to speak to my guardians on your behalf so that they will allow you to have a bath. Sorry to say this but you are stinking a lot.” I told her hoping she’s not offended. She smiled the more and continued eating.
“Your presence is needed Vala, in the throne room.” A guard who had approached told me, covering his nose.
I drop the basket besides Pula. “Continue feeding her until I return.” I told the guard who widened his eyes as he stared at me in shock. “What happened to your eyes?
Why are they wide?” I asked. “If I return and you haven’t fed Pula, you will have me to contend with, remember, I am related to your Queens.” I reminded him and left. “And don’t forget to give her water.” I shouted.

Entering the throne room, I saw Queen Alfy and Calfy and some of the elves elder’s and greeted them. Queen Calfy had just given birth to a girl who was seeping in her arms.
“You sent for me.”
“Yes we did.” Queen Alfy said. “Tomorrow we are going to the arena with our students.”
“Please be careful on your way to the arena aunt.” I said.
“I mean all of us will be going.” Queen Alfy said.
I look at the elders before me. “Please you all should be careful as you journey to the arena tomorrow.”
“Vala, don’t joke with me. You are following us to the arena tomorrow, now you are going to make sure we take the first position just like the way you’ve been doing.” Queen Alfy said.
You see, finishing in the elves school isn’t that hard but gaining admission into the supernatural where you will meet various supernatural creatures, is very hard.
Tomorrow at the arena, the whole students of various kingdoms will gather and we will be given a task each more like a death task, the first, second and third kingdoms to win will be accepted to study in the supernatural school.
My job is to make sure my team emerges the winner, taking the first position, and that I have been doing for the past three hundred years.
