(Phone!)
Episode 24
Min ho’s POV
I stood up from the bed and went inside the bathroom to ease myself then came back inside the room. I picked up my phone and dial Dian’s number.
“Hello.” He said
“Dian are you free? I’ll like to talk.” I said but it seems like he was restraining himself to say something.
“No, am going to bed now we will talk tomorrow morning.” He replied and hanged up before I could sat a word.
What was that about? I am just lonely and this fool beside me Is not helping matters.
“Barley.” I called.
“Yes?
“Can you just stop the game now? It’s disturbing me.” I said. He looked at me then back to his phone, he stood up from the bed and wear his flip flops.
“I will go to the bathroom so that I won’t disturb you any longer.” He said. I don’t mean it that way but it’s still good.
He walk inside the bathroom and closed the door. I lay on my back and face time Carly ( if you don’t remember her go to episode 9 and reread it).
“Hey babe.”
“Carly, how have you been? I asked.
“Been good and you? She asked me
“Good too, you bought your ticket right?”I asked.
“Yea, my flight will take off tomorrow morning “she said happily.
“okay see you there” I said and disconnected and call.
After face timing Carly I dropped my phone on the lamp stand and close my eyes. I need to sleep because tomorrow is gon’ be a hectic one for us.
Barley came out some minutes later and lay beside me on the bed. He dropped his phone on his side lamp stand and slept off.
I slept off too in the process of thinking.
Dian’s POV
Staying close to Aurora is something I want to do everyday, whenever he is close to me or talking to me I feel a very strong sense of relieve.
It’s surprising how my friendship with him is going but I do enjoy it anyway.
“Do you want Bacon? I asked but he shook his head.
“No sir,am full already.” He said and hiccupped which took me by surprise. If it were to be someone else I would have feel disgusted but Aurora doesn’t make me feel that way, instead I am amuse by how scared he was when he did it over again and keep looking at his empty plate.
“Am sorry,am sorry.” He apologized. So amusing.
I gave him my hand towel so that he can clean his mouth and smiled.
“You don’t have to be sorry,I won’t do anything.” I said and flashed him a reassuring smile.
“Thank you sir.” He said. I ate my food I silence as he gulp down the water on her glass cup.
After finishing my food I walk to the bathroom and washed my hand.
“Do you know how to drink wine? I asked and he nodded which I didn’t expect.
I hand over the wine to him and told him to open the Cork.
He fumbled with it a little longer before he finally opened it.
“Took you so long.” I said and he shrugged.
“It has been long I last open a wine.” He defended himself.
“Okay then.” I collected the wine from him and pour it on two glasses before sipping mine.
It doesn’t taste bad like I thought.
Some minutes later after drinking the wine,I look at my wristwatch and it almost midnight.
“I got something for you.” I said and he looked up to look at me.
“What is it sir? He asked. This ‘Sir’ again.
I went inside my room and brought out a Samsung phone that I ordered earlier.
“Here.” I gave it to him and he looked at me in shock.
“This…..this is mine? He asked and I chuckled.
Why is he always stuttering?
“Yea,it’s yours do you like it? I asked him and he furrowed his eyebrow.
“I love it,thank you sir. Oh my g0sh am so happy.” He said. Well that voice sounds feminine or maybe I misheard him.
“I already save my number there so in case you need anything, you can call me.” I said and he nodded.
He unpacked the phone and bring it out.
The phone was purple in colour with a slight stripe at the front.
“So beautiful.” He muttered.
“But Sir.”
“Yes?
“I…I don’t know how to operate it.” He said and I nearly choke on me breath.
“How old are you.” I asked all of a sudden.
“21,why are you asking?
“For a 21 years old guy not to be able to operate a phone is shocking.” I mumbled.
Are his family that poor not to afford a phone?
Incredible!
