I just sat on the road and started crying. My salary is 25k. The drinks are worth 125k. I will be working for three months without payment. I cried more when i remembered that my remaining money is with my oga. I can’t leave if i want to.

The incident got to my oga. The man quickly said, thank God I’m with your money. I will minus it from your money in my possession. He insulted the life out of me.

I watched on the pay day how my fellow workers were receiving their salaries. I couldn’t hold back my tears. The next month, i went to my master and asked for my remaining money. I want to put it in the bank. The answer he gave me shocked the life out of me. He said “WHICH MONEY” i felt paralyzed. I replied “the remaining money from the one i gave to you” . His reply descended like atomic bomb. “is it because of 5000, you are blocking my air”? I was like sir??? He said, “yes na. You gave me 130thousand, i deducted 125thousand. Don’t you know maths”? Nooooo, i shouted. Sir, i gave you 180thousand o. My money is remaining 55thousand sir, not 5000″. My oga stood up and gave me a dirty slap. “Idiot, he shouted, are you mad? Oh, you now call me a thief ? This is how you pay me back?. I housed you for free i even give you free food sometimes, now you call me a liar and a thief”? “Sir”, i replied, with heavy tears in my eyes, “i gave you 180thousand sir. I……… I didn’t finish my statement when my oga bounced on me. He beat the hell out of me calling me a thief and an ingrate. He threw the 5thousand at me and pushed me out of his premises. He warned me not to step foot in his compound. He called his boy at home to bring my bag to his depot. My bag was brought. Once again, BACK TO THE STREET. I cried. That night i decided to end it all. I am tired. I decided to take my life. I went to a nearby shop and bought liquid insecticide. I bought 10 bottles. I needed to die very well. I took them with so much anger and so much rage. I was looking for a lonely part. My plan was to finish everything at once and die. I got to a lonely street. It was about 7:30pm. I just dropped the 10 bottles of liquid insecticide on the floor and sat down. I needed moral to drink them. So i started remembering all my failures and losses. My mind was, after selling this one, i will go and buy another one. I packaged it for the woman and handed it over. The woman now said “Thank you o. Better pikin. Your mama no go cry for your head o. Thank you o”. Immediately, i felt cold. I watched this woman as she left. My eyes went straight to the back of her leg. I got goose bumps all over me when i saw thesame birth mark my mother had on thesame spot, on the woman. I started crying again. I cried non stop not minding i was on the road. I told my father i don’t have money. He asked about my business, i told him all I’m passing through. He said God will help me. I should borrow money and come. He dropped the call.
I got very angry. “Look at these people. I should borrow money and come? When i have millionaires as father and siblings? I should borrow money and come? I started crying and kicking the chair and table in the room. I couldn’t sleep that night. The next morning i left.
