Chapter 63

“My baby” Lyra smiled sweetly, hugging her back.

“I missed you so much. I thought you forget about your promise”

“I never did that’s why I came back” she replied as they broke the hug.

“Missed this cute face so much” she smiled, pulling her cheek playfully and Pearl giggled.

A maid came and offered Draco his drink, then Lyra’s eyes diverted to him.

“Hey big guy” she waved at him.

“Why are you here again?” He frowned.

“Not happy to see me?” She smirked.

“Like I ever was” he scoffed and left for his study.

“Please stay in my room tonight,” Pearl pleaded.

“Lead the way then princess” Lyra smiled and she happily dragged her along with her.

“Oh my Gawd! She’s so pretty!!!”

“She’s looks like a fairy”

“Heard she’s boss fiancee”

“Wow! Boss, got an angel”

Every worker they passed couldn’t help gushing at Lyra. It’s the first time she’s following Draco to work and she’s really happy she came along.

“Your workers are really sweet” she said to Draco with a smile and he scoffed.

She’s holding his arm tight and that made Pearl feel kinda awkward.

She’s used to being the one that always held him that close and that tight.

“You better not act funny here” Draco said huskily to her and pulled his hand off hers and walked off.

“Don’t take it personal, you know he’s always like that” Pearl consoled Lyra with a friendly smile.

“I know, baby. I just wish he can stop being mean to me, we gonna get married soon after all” Lyra replied and sighed while Pearl bit her lower lip secretly.

Amber entered Draco’s office with the files he requested for.

Immediately her gaze caught Lyra, another new set of hatred clouded her mind.

She already has a problem with Pearl being with him and now the main problem has come into the picture.

She noticed her closeness with Pearl and that pissed her more.

“Shouldn’t she be hating her?”

“Here are all the requested files sir” she said to Draco, who was typing on his laptop.

“Is the conference room ready?” Draco asked, diverting his gaze to her.

“Yes sir, we are just waiting for other guests to arrive” she replied.

“Let me head over there and see things before their arrival” he said and stood up.

He wore back his suit’s jacket and adjusted his dress before turning to leave.

“Pearl, go get the drinks for the junior staff” Draco said authoritatively and Pearl frowned slightly, but quickly replaced it with a nod.

Amber smiled d’vilishly, obviously glad he ordered her to do something.

“I’ll be back, just remain in here” he said coldly to Lyra and left.

“Why not send that ugly Amber to do so?” Pearl muttered angrily as they left.

“Seems you guys don’t like each other much” Lyra said.

“Not even the slightest” she replied.

“Can sense she doesn’t like me too”

“Cause you’re obviously prettier and she’s nothing but a flat ass” Pearl scoffed while Lyra chuckled at her cute angry face.

Her head suddenly remembered something and she quickly got up from the couch.

“Going somewhere?” Lyra asked.

“Yes, to get the drinks” Pearl responded with a smile and Lyra sensed something off.

“Hmm… Should I follow you?”

“No! Pearl shouted and bit her lip, realizing she said it a bit too loud.

“You don’t have to bother yourself, I can handle it all on my own”.

“Okay, be safe then?

“Sure” she winked and blew her a kss.

Lyra sighed slowly after she rushed out.

“She has truly changed a lot” she smiled weakly.

She drew out a ¢igarette and started smoking heavily.

“Wow! You look cute” Pearl said to Adonis as she painted something on his cheek.

“How can I tell when you won’t let me see it?” he said and sighed.

“Just wait a second, am alm…, the final touch is almost… Complete” she shouted and stood up straight, cleaning her hands like a professional.

“Here, check out your pretty face in the mirror” she said, giving him a little mirror from her bag.

“What did you call this painting again?” Adonis asked as he touched his left cheek where she did the painting.

“A baby flower painting,” she replied proudly.
