THE ASHAS: Chapter 1 – 10

CHAPTER EIGHT
When we reached home, I dashed into my room.
The moment I got there, I brought Masha’s diary out of my bag, and tried to crack the code.
Since Mashatashasaha worked on her phone, I decided to try it but it didn’t work.
I tried all I could think of, but it still didn’t work, so it clicked in, since three of us like to call ourselves the Ashas, I think that will work and it really worked.
I immediately opened the diary to the day she died, and it was blank, wait what! She died on this day, so maybe she didn’t write anything, so I move to the previous page and she wrote;
I think today might be my last day, I wanted to hang out with Saha and Tasha but Tasha went to party and Sasha was doing homework, mom went to market so I decided to go to Glen’s place.
Bingo, it hit me, Glen was the last person she saw (Glen is our cousin, his parents died so we took him as our brother).
Him and Masha were pretty close, maybe he knows something.
So I continued reading but the page was blank, what, she couldn’t have written only that.
And judging from” I think this is my last day” it means that she saw her death coming, but why did she keep it away from us?.
So I think I will go to Glen since he saw her last.

**At Glen’s place**
I have been standing here and knocking at the door for like ten times, but no one answered.
When I tried to open it, it opened, so I entered.
I looked round the room, it was a mess.
There was no one inside, but when I tried to move outside, I heard things falling from upstairs, so I ran there.
I found Glen there.
The once so composed and perfect cousin of mine was looking like an animal and was eating pizza that fell on the ground he was on his PJs.
He saw me and tried to compose himself before speaking.
What are you doing here?
He asked while wiping the pizza sauce off his face.
The pizza littered everywhere..
How long was he like this, is it because of Masha?.
Hey Glen, what happened here? I asked in an understanding voice.
Hmm, well, my sister is dead, the only person that care for me, first my mom, then dad, now Masha, now tell me, who is next? He asked with grief.
I know how he feels, cos I also felt the same when Dad was found dead, and now Masha.
Glen, that’s not true, you still have me, mom and Tasha and we won’t stop until we find out what killed Masha, so please don’t beat yourself up.
