THE CUTE KOREAN EX CONVICT: Episode 51 – 60

Episode 55

….Rissa’s pov……
“What do you think, grandma?” I asked turning around with the new dress on me.

It has beautiful blue designs that went around the whole thing – I’d sure call it a master piece!
And the fact that it’s my favorite color too.

“Oh my God! It’s wonderful, sweetheart. You have good eyes just like your mother. Always buying breathtaking clothes” She ranted boisterously.

I chuckled and turned around again.

“You don’t think it’s exposing my chest area, right?” I asked curious about how the dress showed a bit of my bosoms.

“No…no…no! It’s perfect, Rissa” She hushed feeling the fabric.

“Alright. I just don’t want people to stare too much. You know I dislike being the center of attraction sometimes” I pointed out and she rolled her eyes.

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, dear. Besides, it’s your day. You’re finally leaving highschool for a better and bigger life. I also want you to go to a private university so you can get the special treatment you need. Be disciplined and self reserved – you can’t get that in public or open universities” She sneered spitefully.

“I’m sure mom told you this. Can you both let me make the decisions sometimes??? If I want to go to the most rowdiest university in the whole world, it’s my call and my choice” I jibed taking off the dress.

“People who make such decisions are orphans or just wayward children. But here you are with a divorced grandmother, a wealthy father and a capable mother. All you have to do is just to agree with whatever we say concerning your life—” She paused shaking her head.

“You’re wrong, grandma…” I stressed sitting on the couch.

A maid walked In and quickly greeted her.

“Good evening, ma’am. The clothes have been pressed and ironed just as you ordered” She said softly.

“Great…please, help me with this dress. Get it ready for Friday’s occasion. Don’t ruin anything too” I said and she took the dress with it’s hanger.

“Good. Send the clothes to my room, later” Grandma told her and she nodded before leaving.

I glanced at the television screen for some seconds.

“I’m going upstairs, Grams. I need to rest. Today have been one heck of a day!” I peeved taking up my light bag.

“Okay. Come down for dinner soon, huh?” She asked while I sublimely went up the glittering stairs.

My room was not so close to the stairs like ot was at my house. I had to go through a hallway before meeting my luxurious and spacious bedroom which was filled with eloquent designs and girlish teddy bears.
There was one so big that sat at the edge of my room next to the window.

Whenever you came close to it; it’d say ‘I love you’ but the whole thing had me so irritated.
A word that’s filled with lies.
What a waste of letters!…

Love this, love that…
At the end – it kills and disintegrates the soul.

It’s something I never want to fall into – ever again!!

….Alex’s pov……
“What do you mean we can’t go to Queens and celebrate Rissa’s graduation with her??” I asked perturbed.

“I don’t know!…it just sounds pointless. What makes you think she’d visit us when our graduation ceremony arrives??” Zoe asked arching her brows.

“Don’t think like that Zoe. She’s our best friend and besides, our graduation ceremony is like three weeks from now” I replied with arms folded.

“Whatever. You can go if you want to. I just don’t like the fact that she left without consulting us first. Whatever the problem was, we were all friends. I also think she wanted Mykel for herself but she had been pretending—”

“Zoe!!!” I rasped stupefied.
I can’t believe she has been harboring this details In her heart for like….almost two years now!!

I know she’s mad at her but it’s not cool for her not to forgive.

“It’s almost two years now, Zoe. Let it go” I spoke softly but her expression hardened the more.

“I’m not the one at fault, Alex. Rissa have to apologize – she should know she messed up. I don’t even want to have anything to do with her, right now!” She hooted and stormed out of the house.

Zoe’s hardly offended but whenever she’s deeply hurt, it takes her forever to forgive. She’d bear malice till the very end.

I can’t go to Queens alone.
I need someone through the way.

Just then, a knock came on the glass door and i rushed to it.
My parents are at the garden hosting their friends. I hope it’s not one of them here to bug me for the way to the toilet. The maids should do that!….

I opened the door and froze discovering who it was. I can’t believe he’s here.
First time, Lucas Forbes is visiting me on his own…??
I looked around. None of his friends were at sight.

“Hey, Lucas. I really didn’t expect a visit from you” I stated shyly.

I couldn’t even look him In the eyes.
Funny thing is – I still have his pictures all over the walls of my room.

“Hi, Alex. May I come In?” He asked with his hands In his pockets.
Ps; He still has that bad boy look!

“Sure” I replied and made way for him.
He stepped in and when he passed, the fragrance of his sweet perfume surrounded me.

“I want us to go surprise, Rissa” He said after we had settled down on a couch.

“Really?? That’s great! But its gonna be a long way to Queens…” I mumbled.

“I know. We’ll use my private jet” He replied and I almost leaped.
He’s a God sent.
