Episode 8
Ebuka started putting the church hall in order for the youth camping. A good number of dedicated youths were present. Ebuka made sure he bought a good number of bulb. There wasn’t found any DARK AREA in and around the church premises. It was Gloriously done.
The church already had male and female restrooms. Water was surplus. He provided nets incase of those who don’t have. Infact, people were amazed how Ebuka turned the very wide church hall into a condusive camping ground. He made demarcations with plywood for ladies and gents resting place. He did it in a way the boards can be packed in the church store to be used again.
Some members from the Adult church came and was wowed. Women fellowship said no more spending alot of money traveling very far group camping. THIS IS IT. People loved Ebuka’s invention.
Pastor REAL was angry. He was just parading up and down. Ebuka was praying in his spirit.
-Pastor Real, i silence you in Jesus name. You will keep pacing around but won’t utter a word.
Pastor Real kept going up and down. From his office to the church hall, to the packing space to the restroom. He was boiling but couldn’t utter a word. Ebuka went to him.
-sir,
-yes?
-i will like to inform you that the programme will be officially announced in this camping.
-Go ahead and annouce it.
-ok sir. Sir, i will like to know if the fliers are ready. I will love it to be shared in this camping.
-it will be ready on thursday.
-perfect. Thank you sir.
Ebuka left.
-stupid boy. I feel like strangling you. Now there will be no more big big contribution for camping. Everyone is buying this his stupid idea. I hate this boy. You are preparing for camp abi? We shall see.
Ebuka, Tonia and Divine fasted three days before the camping. As they prayed, Tonia said she heard a voice. Exodus14:4
-“i will make him stubborn and he will pursue you and my victory over the king and his army will bring me honour. Then the Egyptians will know that i am the Lord”. (GNV)
-Hmmmm, what is God trying to tell us?Ebuka asked.
-read verse 13 too, Tonia replied
-“Moses said, DON’T BE AFRAID stand your Ground. You will see what the Lord your God will do to save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again”. Divine read
-Jesus!!!!! Ebuka screamed. The Lord is trying to tell us there will be challenges but we must stand out Ground and see what God will do.
-challenges? Divine asked. Why challenges again? Is that not why we have been fasting and praying? I thought it will wedge the challenges.
Ebuka smiled.
-good question. The reason is in verse 4. He said there, that his victory over the king and his army will bring him honour. Prayers don’t stop challenges. It empowers you to overcome challenges. If you cannot pray, you become a prey. Challenges will swallow you. Now that we have prayed, the Lord has forewarned us. English word says, To be forewarned is to be forearmed that’s why verse 13 says we should not be AFRAID, we should STAND OUR GROUND. Let’s lift up our voices and bless God for this revelation. Also pray that the Lord will give us grace to obey no matter what we see.
The prayers ended.
Ebuka got home only to meet Mrs Uduak in his compound waiting for him.
-mummy, wow, what a surprise. You should have called ma. How long have you been here?
-welcome son. I called. You werent picking.
-really ? Oh oh oh, sorry. We were praying. My phone is on silence. Welcome ma
EBUKA WENT TO HIS NEIGHBOUR AND DRAGGED A SEAT. MRS UDUAK WAS SURPRISED.
-why sitting here? Let’s go inside.
-oh ok ma. I’m sorry ma.
Mrs Uduak took the lead. Ebuka saw what she was wearing and was shocked. It was so tranparent that he could see the colours of her undies.
-emmmm, mumy. Let’s stay here. I prefer here.
-why?
-it’s late. I don’t entertain females in my house at this time.
-What are you insinuating?
-I’m only being careful ma. I am not ignorant of the devil’s devices. The spirit is always willing but the flesh is weak. I am just being careful.
-i only came to give my support for the camping. The Lord directed me to help financially. It’s a huge sum. I can’t give it outside here.
-It’s fine ma. Give it. It’s safe.
-Are you sure?
-yea.
-ok. I also wanted us to pray together too.
-we can pray here ma.
-it’s ok. (She deeped her hand in her bag and brought out money 100,000) this is my support.
-Thank you ma. May God replenish your pocket.
-Amen.
-let us pray. Father in heaven…..
EBUKA OPENED HIS EYES AND CAUGHT MRS UDUAK LOOKING AT HIM SEDUCTIVELY. Sighting he was looking she closed her eyes and shouted Amen.
-ma, I’m sorry, i can’t accept this money. The Lord has not Approved it.
-what? Why? But the Lord directed me to give you.
– if he was the one who directed you to me He will not disapprove it.
-you have insulted me Ebuka. Because i stooped so low to visit you? You will regret it.
-there is no regret in truth ma.
She angrily left.
-hmmm, wonders shall never end Ebuka replied.
—-CHURCH HALL
All is set for camping. 2 more hours to go. Sister Tonia and Brother Divine were praying at the back yard. Inside the church hall is for sleeping. Outside was for praying. There were tents mounted to protect from sun. Every Atmosphere was filled with his presence. Youths were trooping in with their bags and buckets and were taking positions.
Ebuka and the light men went to put on the Generator and found out that it has been tampered with. It’s a 10kva generator and the fault can’t be fixed in few hours.
