I got the flowers and I’m coming back when I saw a scene
Elvira is standing beside Stanley while a girl with pink hair is standing in front of them, talking angrily..
I rushed to the place but just then, the girl raised her hand to slap Stan but I held it
“You can’t slap my boss” I said, looking at her boldly
She laughed sarcastically and forcefully pulled her hands off mine, then before I can get myself together, she slapped me and I staggered but Elvira caught me before I can fall, the flower fell and I mistakenly marched it as I struggled to stay still, people are staring at us already
I held my hurting face and looked at her
“Who are you to hold my hand?, Are you insane or something?, Is something eating up your brain?, Just who are you?, Who gave you the effrontery to tell me what to do and what not to do with my fiance?” She asked and my eyes widened
“I’m sorry, I never knew you’re his fiancee, I was just…
“Shut your trap!” She snapped
“I must teach you a lesson if that’s what will calm you down” Elvira said and made to get to her but I held her
“Please don’t” I said gently and she retreated
“If you must know, she’s my personal maid” Stanley finally talked
“Personal maid?, This bag of trash?, And that too without my knowledge?” She demanded
“Do I have to tell you before doing everything?, You’re just my fiancee and nothing more, and for all I know, we’re not married yet” he said
“Just your fiancee?, We’ll see about that when I report you to your dad” she said and waltzed out of the hall
“Rihana!” He called but she’s not answering until she’s out of sight
Stanley faced me
“See what you caused?”
“I’m sorry” I mumbled silently
“Stanley, are you ok?, She saved you from that bitch and not even a hint of thanks?, You’re even blaming her” Elvira said
“Don’t act like you dunno why I’m acting like this, if Rihana reports me to dad, definitely we’ll be invited to the next family meeting and that’s the last thing I want to do right now, sitting and talking with that old man is what I don’t want to do” he said and went out angrily but I followed behind
“Boss I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m very sorry…..
He just got into the car and ordered his driver to move
I started crying, hope he won’t fire me for what I did
Elvira came to meet me
“You’re crying?’
“He might fire me” I replied
“No, he’s just angry right now, that’s why he didn’t wait for you, and what you did was right, defending your boss is not wrong, just that Stanley is too haughty and egoistic” she said and gave me an hanky to wipe my tears
“And that’s another thing to know about him, he acts before thinking” Elvira said
“Thanks for letting me know” I whispered
“I’ll drop you home” she said
“No I’ll do it” someone said, it’s Richard
“Are you sure?” Elvira asked
“Trust me” he said and Elvira hugged me before driving away
“I saw it all, so you’re his personal maid? Richard asked
“Yes, please can we go now?, He’ll scold me if I’m late” I said and he looked at me for a while before heading to his car, I followed and wanted to open the door but he opened it for me
“Thanks” I mumbled before hopping in
He drove me home and saw me enter the gate before leaving
I got to the main door but it was locked, I haven’t even been told the password and my fingerprint has not been registered there
My phone……I left my phone inside due to the rush…. even if I have it with me, I don’t have his number….
I rang the doorbell several times but he didn’t open the door, he must be really angry
I had to sleep by the door that night….

I got home angrily that night and I calmed down, I know I shouldn’t have acted like that but the thought of going to the family meeting is killing me
I know I won’t be able to sleep that night so I took a dose of sedative and slept off
Early the next morning, I woke up, expecting Elle to bring my coffee but no sign of her
That’s when I remembered I locked the door, oh my, why am I so forgetful
Where could she possibly sleep?, Maybe at Elvira’s place
I got a message and checked, it’s from Dad
“Family meeting today by ten”
I threw my phone back on the bed
Just what I was expecting
I went to the kitchen to make something to eat but the door pushed open and Elvira came in with Elle
“Stanley, how can you leave her to sleep by the door?..
“I swear it, I forgot to leave the door opened and I used sedative last night which made me sleep early” I defended
“She started work yesterday and you’re already making it hard” she said and sighed
“You can go take a rest” I said to Elle and she went in
“Are you going to the meeting or not?” I asked
“I came here because of that, go get prepared” she said and sat in front of the TV
“Crazy” I muttered and gave up on cooking, I went upstairs to take my bath, I mixed it myself and got ready for the Meeting
I got downstairs and made to call Elle but Elvira stopped me
“Let the poor girl rest” she said and pulled me out
I can’t ride with a psych©path so we took our respective cars and drove to dad’s mansion
Dad was seated on his cushion chair when we reached
“Sit” he ordered and we both took our seats
“Stanley, you know you disgust me right now, how can you say Rihana is just your fiancee and nothing more, for all I know she’s your soulmate, the lady you’ll spend the rest of your life with, your everything….
“Rihana is not my soulmate old man!, we’re not even married yet and I’m going through all these already, I doubt if we’ll get married at all, You forced me to get engaged with her fourteen years ago remember?, You forced me to slide that ring into her finger when I’m still ten years old and she’s still nine, since then though I don’t like her but I hoped as we’ll grow deeper and deeper to know each other, I’ll like her but it’s all useless cos she’s growing worse everyday, she’s commanding, authoritative, possessive and likes to control me, and do you know what she tried to do yesterday?, She tried to slap me!” I ranted loudly
“Even at that, Elvira shouldn’t have slapped her back” dad said and our eyes widened, I and Elvira looked at each other
“What!” We both chorused
“So that btch came here to tell that much lies?, I see, I didn’t even touch her yesterday and now she’s saying I slapped her, I think I really need to slap her” Elvira said and stormed out of the Villa
“See what I’m talking about?, She tells lies now” I said..
“Stanley…..
“Old man, please don’t call me here for this kind of useless matter again cos I won’t honour your invitation” I said and equally went out
“Stanley come back here!” He ordered but I don’t want to.
Elvira is gone by the time I got out cos I can see her car speeding out of the compound
“How can Rihana tell such lies?”
