Dawn’s pov?
I wore a lovely blue dress with a summer hat to match.
We are going back to the castle right now and I couldn’t help but feel like we shouldn’t leave.
Returning back to that place where there are frequent cases and problems upon problem.
I wonder if they’ll blame me of killing all the chickens at the royal poultry tomorrow.
Who knows what they’re up to?….
The door opened and King Lee walked in holding his car keys.
He wore casual blue shirt with a glittering gold chain on his neck.
“Blue?” He mumbled staring at the dress with a smirk.
“I’m sorry, your highness. I had no idea you wore a blue shirt–”
“Oh…shut up. It doesn’t matter – its cute though” He said smiling lightly.
“Get the phones” He added and ambed out of the room.
I stood like a bloated goat gazing at him as he left…My emotions were getting the best of me.
What do I do to stop loving him this much???
I sighed and went over to the drawer and gathered his numerous smartphones.
I started towards the door but paused to glance at the wardrobe.
Aww…I’ll miss it for sure.

King Lee didn’t lock up and I wondered what his reasons were.
We got into the car and I struggled to put on the seatbelt. I totally forgot how to do this…yeish!
Disadvantages of being an illiterate.
But I had to quit school since mom’s business wasn’t pulling through. I didnt want her to get sick out of stress.
Our village is the most undeveloped and poorest in the whole kingdom of Euphoris. Its hard growing up somewhere like that.
King Lee removed my hand and did it himself.
“Brainless rat, you can’t do anything yourself, can you?” He grunted fixing it properly.
He returned back to his driver’s seat and and reached for something under the dashboard.
He brought out a box and passed it to me. I glanced at the box…There was a photo of a phone infront of the box.
“I hope you like the color….I just love white colored phones” He groused and i nodded, besumed.
“I love it. Thank you so much, your highness” I said Stupefied.
“And also…Our wedding ceremonial event will take place next week” He said and my heart sank.
Oh my God!
Come to think of it,, I’ve not been legally married to him.
“Okay” I whispered touching the box on my thighs.
He turned on the ignition and drove out of the driveway.
The ride was lively and King Lee couldn’t stop talking about how the council has been calling and texting him to return back to the kingdom.
I listened attentively to him as he talked nonstop. I enjoyed hearing his voice all the time so I couldn’t prevent it.

We arrived at the castle and King Lee stopped the car infront of the main palace.
“You should go to your room and get some sleep. Avoid any question from Alicia and Simone…bye” He said as the guards opened the door for us and we stepped down from the car.
They kept throwing greetings at us like we’ve been gone for a year.
I made my into the palace walking as fast as I could. The dress I was wearing suddenly made me feel like it was inappropriate to wear such in a castle.
I just wanted the escape any form of trouble that’d come from those two desperate women.
I took a turn and guess who I saw coming at the end of the hallway…

Geez!
I quickly retreated and decided to take the other way…
Alicia was also coming with some muscular man.
How come they’re both outside their rooms??!?
I rushed back and went through another hallway I’ve never been through before.
I wanted to go back but it was too late….i had to keep going and find out what was down here…
I finally spotted a door at the end of the hallway. I ran to it and pushed it before walking in.
I continued the creepy journey as I saw another door. I tried to open it but it seemed to be locked.
I heard footsteps and quickly ran to an old cupboard to hide.
A maid was coming carrying a tray in her hands. She touched the wall and some part disappeared and she took a silver key from the wall…
Oh my goodness!
She opened the door and went in after looking around suspiciously.
After a short time, she came out without the tray of food and closed the door locking it up. She placed the key back and walked away.
What the h.eck is she up to??…
I looked around to see if the key was still there…and luckily, I found it.
*Easy as pie*
I unlocked the door immediately and went in.
My jaw dropped instantly at the woman I saw sitting on a bed….
The great queen of Euphoris…
King Lee’s mother???….
She’s been here since these years???….
My eyes darted to her legs – there were chains around her two ankles.
What on earth is she doing here?…
