*BRITTANY’S POV*

Hayden dropped me off at school the next day. I didn’t say anything when he offered to take me.

There is no need to hide about me been married anymore. The whole school already knows I guess.

He stopped the car at school and came out to help me open the door.

“You didn’t have to” I said getting down.

“I’m just been a gentleman” he winked.

“Indeed” I huffed.

He grabbed my waist drawing me closer to him.

“Hayden…we are outside” I muttered tho I was happy he was clamoring me in public.

“Let them watch” he simply said and pecked my forehead.

“Have a nice day” he said.

“You too” I smiled and he nodded and released his hands on my body and entered his car.

I waved as he drove off.

“Wow” I heard someone mutter behind me and flinched.

I turned to see Andy.

“Don’t scare me like that” I rolled my eyes.

“Not my fault you are a chicken” he shrugged.

“Tch!” I utters as I walked into the school with Andy following behind me.

“I’m happy for you” He said.

“Huh”

He pointed at my left hand and I muttered an “Oh” when I saw he was referring to the ring in my finger.

Accepting Hayden as my husband also means I have to wear my wedding ring around now.

“Thanks” I uttered.

We entered the classroom and I gulped down nothing as the whole class attention drifted to us.

I felt even more uncomfortable when they started whispering.

“Just ignore them” Andy said and I nodded.

I noticed Brenda sitting and operating her phone.

I sighed and Andy and I walked up to her.

She looked at me and scoffed.

“Look who we have here. It’s pretty sad you want to cheat on your “husband” with Andy” she said.

“Brenda, what’s wrong with you. At the party, you…We can just forget about that. Did I do something wrong?”

“I don’t want to talk to you” she said and went back to her phone.

I looked at Andy and he shrugged looking away.

After the first lecture, I called Andy aside.

“What’s up with Brenda?” I asked him.

“I don’t know” he answered.

“You know something. Just tell me” I pleaded.

“She…well, at the party. We kind of made out. She told us to meet up and talked about it saying she likes me and all. I told her it was a mistake and nothing can happen between us because I don’t like her. She is mad and angry at you because she knows I like you” Andy explained.

“Well that’s fked up” I uttered.

“I know, right. What can I do? I can’t force my self to like her can I?”

“That doesn’t mean she should stop talking to me. It’s fine tho. Will try to talk to her”

“Good luck with that” he said while I nodded.

After lectures that day, I was surprised to see Hayden instead of Jacob.

“You didn’t have to” I said

“Hello to you too wifey” he said instead.

“Really?” I gave him a look.

“Hop in” He said and I got into the passenger’s seat while he got in to the driver’s seat.

He took me to a fancy restaurant for us to have lunch. I really love this new side of Hayden.

We sat opposite ourselves as we wait for the waiter. The waiter came shortly with the menu.

“I will have pasta and chicken” I said.

“Same with me” Hayden said and I looked at him.

“Okay got it” she said her attention on Hayden.

“Why are you still here?” I asked rolling my eyes at her and she quickly apologized and left.

“Eishh! Look at her trying to h it it on you” I scoffed.

“She wasn’t” Hayden laughed.

“Of course she was. So annoying”

“I sense jealousy” Hayden smirked.

I looked away blushing. “What? No…no…I just,” I stammered and stopped talking when I noticed I was blurting our nonsense.

The waiter arrived and she set the table. I glared at her watching her every movement.

She stared at him as she finished placing our order on the table.

“He is my husband so back off!” I glared at her.

She looks at me weirdly and walked away.

“Tch!”

Hayden looked amused. “I don’t know which is more scary. The jealous you or the stubborn you”

“I’m not jealous neither am I stubborn.” I said.

“Of course you aren’t” he said sarcastically.

We started eating and Hayden kept stealing glances at me.

“You know Hayden, you never told me why you decided to marry me”

“Coz I love you” He simply said.

“I want the details” I rolled my eyes.

“Your dad and I are business partners. He invited me to your 15th birthday. That was when I saw you. I fell in love at first sight. It was strange considering you are young. I started stalking you…”

“Wait, what?” My eyes widened.

“Yeah. I couldn’t approach you. Didn’t know how to. I have never been in love before and didn’t know how to go about it”

“Your 16th birthday came up and I still continued stalking you. I was a coward. I know”

“And after my 17th birthday, you decided to marry me instead” I completed the story for him.

“You can put it like that” he nodded.

“Wow” was all I could say.

Hayden have been in love with me for over three years.

“You could have just approach me you know?”

“I couldn’t. Pretty sure you would reject me if I asked you out”

I guess I would cause I liked Ezra then.

“Maybe. What if my dad haven’t agreed to the proposal”

“I know he would. I have studied him well” he replied.

“You know I hated you” I said

“Very much” he added chuckling.

“I know, right. Can’t believe if I was told I would fall in love with you. Good job Hayden, you scored a point” I gave him a thumbs up chuckling.

“Not surprised. You can’t resist an attractive man” he boasted.

“And there we go. The egocentric Hayden is here” I muttered.

“You know that’s true”

“Maybe”

“It is”

“Yeah yeah” I said.

“So…” i cleared my throat.

He looked at me questionably.

“I have a surprise for you” I said.

“Which is?”

“You would know when we get home” I winked.

“Why tell me you have a surprise if you aren’t going to tell me know?”

“Cause I want to keep you in suspense”

“Tch” he rolled his eyes.

We hanged out and had dinner at a restaurant also.

We went home after dinner. His mom was asleep and we went to our bedroom.

Hayden went to the bathroom to have his bath while I sat on the bed tapping my fingers on my lap. I was nervous. Like really nervous but I have made up my mind.

He returned from the bathroom shortly and I rushed to the bathroom.

I stayed in the bathroom for like forever after my bath contemplating whether to go ahead or nothing.

I took a deep breath. Wrapped my towel round my body and left the bathroom.

Hayden was on the bed operating his laptop and didn’t notice me come in.

I quietly sat beside him and coughed. He looked at me and Shock was visible on his face seeing me on a to wel.

I took the laptop from him and dropped it on the drawer and faced him.

“About the surprise…” I bite my lower lip.

“Brittany…” he utters.

“I want you to claim me completely” I said making a move to remove the to..wel.
