I was laying on my bed and watching a movie, when my mom entered. I rolled my eyes. I know her coming here, is to ask me about Liyah. And there’s no way I’m telling her the truth!!.
“Kyle” she cooed, smiling mischievously
I groaned
“What do you want mom?” I asked
“You know” she replied and sat down beside me
“I don’t know” I replied, feigning ignorance
There’s no way I’m going to accept knowing
“Come on, what’s going on between you and Liyah?” She asked
I rolled my eyes
“Nothing”
“Kyle, I saw the way you looked at her” she said
I sat up, dropping my phone
“I don’t know what you’re talking about mom” I answered
She chuckled
“I saw the way you look at her Kyle. It’s a look of love” she said
“Mom!!”
“You know I’m not lying. You only look at the person you’re in love with that way. You’ve never looked at Gabrielle that way. That I can bet” she said
My mom can be so naughty, when she wants to!!
I sigh
“Mom, we’re yet to spend three hours in North Richland and you’re already seeing the look of love? Huh?” I asked
“I’m not a kid Kyle. I know the look of love when I see one. I know she loves you too” she said
I groaned
“Mom, you should leave. I need to sleep” I said
“You’re not sleeping Kyle. We’ve got a lot to talk about” she replied
“Since you won’t let me sleep peacefully, I will leave the room for you. You can have it all to yourself”
I left my mom in the room and went to the garden. Everlyn was plugging some berries.
“Hi” I said
“Have you see Liyah around?” She asked
“No. Not since we came back” I said
She groaned
“She’s back home and back to her old ways” she said
“What are you talking about?” I asked
She smiled
“It’s nothing. I’ll go check if she’s back” she said and left
I sigh
I’ll just stay in the garden for a while to clear my head!!.
??Taliyah??
I sat down on the couch, ready to listen to Eva’s preaching about love.
“How do you know you love someone?” I asked
She chuckled, while I groaned
“Will you speak up or keep chuckling? Huh?” I asked
“Sorry” she cooed
“If you’re in love with someone, you tend to think about him always. Every minute spend with him is important and appreciated. You overlook his bad and love him irrespective of what he does” she began
I rolled my eyes
I think a lot about Kyle. But spending time with him? No
“First, why are you using him? I never said you should specify” I said with an eye roll
She chuckled
“Sorry” she cooed
“Back to our lesson. What if you think a lot about someone but doesn’t spend quality time with him or her?. Does that signify love?” I asked
“Thinking about someone doesn’t mean you love him or her. It might just be a fling. But when you try to spend quality time with them, you get to know if it’s love and it helps your love to grow” she answered
I groaned
Loving someone is harder than I thought
“What if I don’t want to spend quality time with him?” I asked
“Well, you will have to find your own way” she answered, standing up
“Hey, we’re not done” I said
“Liyah, duty calls. Let’s meet same time tomorrow”
“No. We meet tomorrow morning after breakfast”
“Your wish is my command, my lady” she bow slightly
“Go, I don’t want the Queen looking for you”
“See you around”
I decided to go get some rest, since my chamber is neat and ready for use. I still do not know what to give my sister as a gift, so i’ve decided to paint her and her husband.
Although I don’t know if she will accept it, especially when she hates me painting. I will do it anyway and give it to her. She can as well throw it away!!.
I’ve decided to use my painting chamber to prevent others from knowing. Not even Eva nor Shiela will find out about it.
Talking of Sheila. I’ve not even made an attempt to call her, since we came back. I took my phone and dialed her number

I chuckled
?Hey. Just want you to know we are home
?I know
?Melvin told you already
She chuckled
?Come on
?You still haven’t told me what’s going on between you two
?Nara, I told you there’s nothing between us yet
I groaned
?( mimicking her) I told you there’s nothing between us yet
?(laughing) Nara
I rolled my eyes
?Don’t call my name. Get off my phone
?Nara, come on!
?Are you ready to tell me? Or you get lost!!

I rolled my eyes
?You don’t have to remind me. I know
?Like I said Nara, there’s nothing going on between us
?Whatever
She chuckled
?So how is you and Kyle?
I groaned
?Get off my phone
?No way. You have to tell me
?I think the Queen just called me. Bye Sheila
I quickly cut the call before she utter a word. I sigh and dropped the phone but the pop sound, made me pick it up. I checked and it was a message from Sheila.
? You don’t have to cut the call. I know you guys are not talking yet. I think you should act fast. Love, Sheil
I groaned
I don’t know what she wants me to do!!. I left the chamber, after making sure everything is intact and there was nobody close.
I tiptoe past the maid court and into the palace. Luckily, my annoying sister was nowhere to be found. I sigh and opened my door, only to see her, seated on my bed and staring at me.
I groaned
“What do you want?” I asked, folding my hands
“Where have you been?” She asked instead of answering my question
“When did you become my guard? Huh?” I asked
She rolled her eyes
“I’m your sister and I have the right to look out for you” she anwered
“Look we’re back to North Richland and I’m not a baby. I can do whatever I want and go where ever I want, ok?” I answered
She made to say something but I stopped her
“Get off my bed, I need to sleep” I said
“Liyah” she called
“Everlyn, get up” I rolled my eyes
“Well I came to tell you, I’m telling dad what you did. So you should pick which place you prefer. Frost or dragon” she said
I groaned
“You won’t want to do that!” I yelled
“I should have done that long ago but Kyle stopped me. There’s no way dad’s not going to find out cause I’m telling him” she said
“You don’t have to do that” I replied
She rolled her eyes
“Watch and see. You prevent me before but you won’t succeed this time” she said and walked out
I groaned
Is she serious?
She’s joking right?
She won’t tell dad right?
She can’t do that to her baby sis right?
I stood up from my bed and walked around. I’m really devasted right now. If she tells dad, he will be so angry at me and he won’t give me the gift. Kyle will be disappointed and he won’t talk to me for life. I’m really so sleepy but right now, I can’t sleep.
“Maybe I should go and beg her?” I thought
No, maybe I should just tell dad what I did and tell him how sorry I am? What if dad doesn’t believe I’m remorseful. And decided to send me to frost Palace or dragon tower?
I was still thinking of what to do, when I heard a knock on the door. My heart beat skipped
“Who’s there?” I asked
“Alvin”
My heartbeat increased and I had to hold my breath
“Al……Al” I sigh
I breathe in and out for a while, trying to stabilize my breath. When I was sure my heartbeat is a bit stable, I sigh
“Alvin, what do you want?” I asked
“The King demands your presence” he said
I shivered
“Is Everlyn with the King?” I asked
“Yes. She’s the reason why the king want to see you” he replied
I tried to fan myself as I felt hot all over my body. Don’t tell me Everlyn told dad?
How could she?
“Princess are you there?” He asked
“Ye….ye…yes” I replied, stuttering vigorously
“What about Kyle?” I asked
“He’s there also” he answered
“Tell the king I’ll be there” I said
“I’m sorry my princess. The King wants you to come with me” he replied
I sigh and opened the door
“Do you know why the king wants to see me?” I asked
“I have no idea princess. But I overheard Princess Everlyn, talking about the incident that happened in China” he replied
I groaned
I went to see the king but luckily, it wasn’t about Gabrielle and Audrey. It has to do with me not accepting to share a room with Kyle.
Dad gave me his gift. It was a diamond bracelet. And finally dismissed us. I left the throne room happily, and was about going to my room when a message pop up. It reads
?Hi best. Can you be out of the place for few minutes? We’ve got lots of things to do. Meet me at the coffee shop in ten minutes. Love Dave
I chuckled
There’s no way I’ll miss this!!. I’ve missed David and his crazy attitude and he need to tell me about the wife his parents got him.
“I’ll definitely be breaking the rules again” I thought
I tiptoe to the stable. Luck been on my side, Author wasn’t there. I drag out Everlyn’s horse and placed my leg on the stirrup iron and successfully mounted the horse. I hit the horse’s back and off we go.
As usual, I directed the horse to pass through the forest. The horse was really very fast. Soon, I was at the coffee shop.
“Hi best” I cooed
“I’ve missed you” he said, hugging me
“I don’t have much time” I said, and sat down on the stool
I ordered for what to eat and we begin to chat. He told me about his wife to be and how he rejected her. We talked about other things and I couldn’t stop laughing.
I was enjoying every bit of it that I forgot it was getting late and I need to go back to the palace. I never knew Alvin was standing close to me until I heard him speak.
“Princess, the King seek your presence in the palace” he said
I turned and my eyes dilated in shock. I stood up from the stool
“Bye Dave. You should go home” I cooed
“I’ll go with you” he said
“No. Go home. I’ll see the king alone” I answered
“Are you sure?
“Yes”
We said goodbye and he left
“Ho….how did you know I’m here?” I asked, stuttering
“I’ll advice you quit asking questions and go home with me. Cause the King and Queen are furious, so is Everlyn” he said
I sigh
Right there, I knew I was in deep sht. If he’s right about what he said, then I’ll end up at either Frost palace or dragon tower!!!.
I’m in trouble!! And there’s no way I’m getting out!!!
