Chapter 39: REMEMBER
Enya was lying on her bed, since night she couldn’t close her eyes.
Her body temperature has been high, and she’s been coughing severely.
She has gone into the bathroom for the third time to have her shower, but yet, nothing seems to be getting any better.
She laid again on her bed, forcing herself to sleep. The more she tries to close her eyes, the more the sleep refuses to take her.
Lord Riguez on the other hand has been awake all through the night.
He couldn’t sleep after the incident which happened the previous day.
He was staring at two different versions of his wife.
One claiming to be his true wife, and the other doesn’t remember anything.
Anna is nowhere to be found. She left the castle as soon as the unfinished case ended, that was when Arwen escorted Enya to the bathroom.
Riguez had sent troupes out for a strict search around the kingdom for both Anna and the sorceress.
He was going to keep to his words. When he said he was going to punish her if she attempted adopting his wife, he meant the words.
His anger was beyond peak, but unknown to everyone, Enya was in a critical condition.
THE UNEXPECTED WIFE : CHAPTER 31 – THE END
Arwen walks into Enya’s room with a tray of food in her hands.
She sees Enya laying still on her bed, she involuntarily dropped the tray to the ground causing a loud noise.
She rushed to Enya’s body, feeling her temperature. ” Oh my goodness, Enya what’s going on with you?”
Enya mumbled weakly, ” I don’t… I don’t fe.. ” she coughs. ” I don’t feel okay. ” She managed to say.
” I’ll go call the doctor, you have to hold on.” Arwen turns to leave when Enya held her.
” No, don’t. ” She held her hand.
” No, I’m not letting you to die. I must call for help. ”
” Do you think I will survive this? ” She said, tears rolling out of her eyes. ” It’s been this way since night, it’s pointless calling for help now.”
” You are not dying, and even if you have to, not now. You still have a long way to go. ” She took Enya’s hand off hers, going to call on the doctor.
She did so, and quickly the doctor started the medication.
Again, she leaves the room to call on Lord Rodriguez. Enya stopped her but she was too stubborn to listen to her.
She was dying. The doctor would almost think there is no way to save her.
But Arwen would never think so, she believes…
On hearing this, Lord Rodriguez stormed out of his room. He didn’t stop until he was in her room.
He stopped abruptly, staring at his sick wife on the bed. Each second he hated himself for leaving her.
She slowly moved her head to the door, staring at Arwen then at Riguez who looked worried and hurt the most.
” My Lady..” the word came out painfully.
She didn’t say anything, but her gaze did.” Who did this to you, ” he said hurtfully as he approached the bed.
” Am I going to die? Will I be able to survive this?” She said tearfully, ” I don’t feel myself anymore. ”
He holds her hand, ” You will survive this, and you are not going to die. ”
” I’m scared. ”
” I know, you have to. But I’m here… with you. ” He assured her.
” How is she? ” He asked the doctor who shook his head.
” I’m trying my best but, her Highness’s condition is critical. ” He said.
” And can’t you do something about it? ”
” I will try my best. According to the result of her test, there is some element of foreign bodies in her body. It’s feeding on her tissues and… ” He paused, not wanting to continue.
” And what? ”
” Let’s hope she survive this.” He concluded.
Riguez looks at Enya, her eyes is as red as blood due to the uncontrollable tears rolling out of her eyes.
Arwen stormed out of the room, she wept heavily as she runs to her room.
” No!” She cried. ” Why does it have to be you, Enya. Why?”
She fell to the ground, ” No. No… No… Noo!! ” She screamed. ” Enya, not you. En…ya… Please, don’t leave me. Don’t leave us… you don’t have to. ”
