Khalid scoffed as he lit the stick and took a drag from it.
He was silent for a while, just smoking from his cigarette and Octavia felt really nervous standing so close to him.
What could possibly be going through his mind? Why was he so silent?
“I didn’t let Becca pun.ish you” he finally said, reducing her anxiety.
Octavia felt her heart skip again.
He was really behind it! He was really behind it!
Ah! Of course, she knew it!
“I didn’t want her to puni$h you that way for reasons best known to me”.
He took a drag from his cigarette and puffed smoke into the air, which made Octavia uncomfortable.
Oh! She hated the smell of cigarette.
“But it doesn’t mean you’re going to entirely free, Octavia, for what you did” he added and she looked at him.
What’s he talking about?
A long silence passed.
“You’ll be spending the night in my room. I’m going to puni$h you myself” he added and walked away.

Octavia watched as he walked out of the room, slamming the door shut.
She took in a deep breath and decided to take a seat – on the bed. Not the couch.
She was scared of doing anything that’d make Becca barge in and start yelling at her
But thinking about it; why did Khalid really save her from Becca’s wrath? She’s looked around to see what she did to deserve it, but still couldn’t find any.
Or… could it be because she saved his life? Was that possibly the reason?
Well… Maybe it was. Because that was the only explanation she could place her finger on.
She placed her head on her legs, feeling a little tired.
The darkness was already taking over the atmosphere and as a result, it made her so dizzy.
She was there – alone for a long time and was almost dozing off when she heard the door open and in a little panic, she lifted her had from her leg to have a look.
As expected, it was Khalid.
He was holding a tobacco pipe with him an took several drags as he walked in.
“Take off your ¢Iothes and get on the be.d” he spoke in an unruffled tone, like it was the most normal thing to do.
The dizziness Octavia felt a while ago quickly got replaced with anxiety as she stood up immediately and started undre.ssing, not wanting to get into further trouble.

She continued whimpering as shye heard him walk away.
Oh! What was he doing to her? She couldn’t explain it. What has she done to deserve this?
Her legs were hurting
Bit by bit, the pains were beginning to lessen as he allowed it cool off. And after a while, she felt his presence again.
Oh God! No.
Her whimperings and sniffling returned as her heart started playing party drums again. He was back; and was going to hurt her again.
Oh God! He was going to hurt her again!
Khalid climbed up the be.d behind her and balanced in his usual position. He could see how her legs shook and her body tensed as he touched her.
She wanted to beg him, but couldn’t. He doesn’t listen to pleas. Never.

Her heart skipped repeatedly.
He was holding her! His hand was wrapped around her waist.
How possible?
Her sobs and whimpers were beginning to die down already as she was dumbstruck by his sudden touch. But she was too tired and felt dizzy immediately.
“Master…” She whispered his name.
And finally, she slept off.
