TOP HEALTH BENEFITS OF TURMERIC POWDER YOU MUST KNOW
Tumeric is a very good herb you must always have at home. There are some top health benefits of tumeric powder you must know.
Turmeric is the spice that gives curry its yellow color.
It has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb.
Recently, science has started to back up what Indians have known for a long time — it really does contain compounds with medicinal properties.
These compounds are called curcuminoids, the most important of which is curcumin.
Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.
🖊Make longevity tea
To make your own tea, boil four cups of water, add one teaspoon of ground turmeric, allow to simmer for 10 minutes, strain, and add ginger and/or honey to taste.
🖋Make meat safer
Kansas State University researchers discovered that adding turmeric to meat can reduce the levels of heterocyclic amines (HCAs) by up to 40 percent.
HCAs form on chicken and meat when cooked over high heat, like in grilling. Consumption of HCAs is linked to higher rates of cancer.
🖋Inhibit skin cancer
Turmeric seems to hold much promise for skin treatments, as well as possibly inhibiting certain forms of cancer.
Among other studies, researchers at the University of Texas note that curcumin inhibits the growth of melanoma and may also impede the spread of breast cancer to the lungs.
🖋Soothe a sick stomach
Turmeric has long used to quell bellies that aren’t behaving properly.
A 2013 study showed that taking 500 mg of turmeric a few times a day can treat an upset stomach.

🖋As an anti dandruff
Make a mix of turmeric and the oil of your choice (jojoba or coconut oil would be nice), massage into your scalp and leave on for 15 minutes, then shampoo and style as usual.
🖋Soothing Face Mask
Turmeric can also be used on skin! One of my favorite ways to use it is in a face mask. You can add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder to any face mask recipe you love.
Just like in the face mask above, the anti-inflammatory properties of this unique spice makes it beneficial to help cool and stop acne.
Make a paste of honey and turmeric (2 parts honey to 1 part turmeric) and dab on to spot treat.
Allow to stay for 15 minutes then wash with lukewarm water.
