She squeezed her eyes and gasped immediately.
“Oh, my God!
Please, let me go. I haven’t done anything.
Where’s my son? Please, take me to him. Don’t hurt him, please.
Let us go” she said tearfully without a pause and I just let her finish.
“You and your son will be fine; once you give us what we need.
“Who came to your house to pay your husband a visit two nights ago?
And want is the pin to the safe In your husband’s room?”
She busted into more tears and I sighed.
“Crying won’t do you any good, Mrs Smith. You’re just wasting your time” I told her and she looked at me.
“it…It was Fabian Adiente” she replied.
“He was the one who had visited my husband”.
“And the pin to the safe?” I asked and she bent her head and sobbed.
“Why do you need?
It means so much to my husband.
Please, just let us go” she whimpered.
“You have 20 seconds to tell me the pin to the safe” I stated icily and she gasped and looked at me with disbelieve.
“Did…did mark send you to do this?” She asked but I maintained a motionless face.
“10 more seconds” I said and she whimpered.
“4-9-5-7” she replied and I sighed and stood up.
“And for your son’s sake, I hope it’s the truth” I said as I started walking out of the room.
“Wait; where’s my son? Please, take me to him.
I’ve given you what you wanted. Please, let us go!” She cried as I walked out of the room with the two boys.
“Deliver the message to my brother. I’ll be in my room” I told them and they nodded and walked away.
I also turned around and took the stairs, headed for my room.
I threw the gun on the floor as I walked into my room and laid on the bed, facing the ceiling.
Well, this is who I am – the brother to the boss of the most dreaded gang in the city.
Even the authorities fear us.
And maybe it’s better that way.
