Neema’s POV (Aurora’s mum)
I sat in the living room worried sick about the fact that Murdock ain’t back home yet.
I’ve tried calling his mobile but it always goes directly to voicemail.
Why isn’t he home yet?
Is everything okay??
What’s keeping him??
These questions and many more ran through my head as l sat facing the main entrance.
“C’mon mum,stop being worried,dad’s gonna come home soon,you know…
This ain’t the first time he’s coming home late” Shawn said trying to sooth me .
I nodded silently in affirmation.
He’s right. Murdock sometimes comes home very late.
Allowing that to sooth me, I got up from the chair heading to my room.
Then suddenly, we heard sirens. I and Shawn rushed outside to see 3 cars driving into the compound.

Aurora’s POV
I lay on my bed,trying to do my maths assignment,I ain’t really good in maths though.
“Go$h! This is so difficult!” I whined biting hard at my pencil.
Assuming Peniel was here,he’d have totally helped me with this. Did I forget to say he’s a book worm? A real egghead!
Gosh aurora,you shouldn’t be thinking about peniel now,try to solve all this equations first! I thought to myself as I hit my head with my pencil repeatedly.
I’d have called Shawn but he doesn’t always have the time for stuffs like this.
“I can help you”
I looked up swiftly to see Timmy standing at my door way.
He so much looks like Peniel. He’s as handsome as him,and I always feel uneasy and kinda shy around him,just exactly the way I feel around Peniel.
Strange!!
“Umm Aurora!” Timmy called softly.
I jolted back to reality .
“Umm can you do it? Its maths!” I asked,thinking everyone was as dumb as me in maths.
“Sure!” He smiled walking close to me.
I could feel my heart melting.
“So can I have it?” He asked as he sat beside me on the bed.
“S.. sure” I stuttered handing him my notebook.
He chuckled lightly as he collected it from me.
This dude is very handsome,where did he come from? I thought staring plainly at him.
“And done!” Timmy said snapping me from my thoughts.
“What???” I asked wide eyed.
He’s done?
How??
I mean how can he finish 10 equations in just 2 minutes???
“How did you……” I wasn’t done talking when I heard mum scream from the living room.
Like wtf happened??
I scrambled out of my room and ran to the living room.
I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw dad on the floor covered in bl.ood.
Ook… Are my eyes decieving me now or what?
This isn’t my dad, no! He left home hale and hearty,though not too cheerful.
Who could have done this??
“D.. dad!” I called as tears blinded my vision.
“Dad!!!!!!” I screamed throwing myself on his lifeless body….
