?MELANIE POV?
A WEEK LATER
“Alex for crying out loud,Where are you taking me” I said as I held his hand
“Its a surprise,so stop being curious and enjoy the moment” He said stopping to kss me
“This isn’t fair” I said
“What is not fair?”
“You kssing me when am blindfolded” I said
“Ahhhhh……Don’t worry love,You will soon get that blindfold off and you will kss me as much as you want” He said
I smiled and willingly went along with him
Its been a week now, A week since we’ve gotten back from his villa
A week since we’ve both made up our mind to love each other and fight for each other
A week since Alex father have finally accepted me into the family.
“Take it easy love,this place is somehow slippery” He said and pulled me to him
I held unto him and climbed up the rock
“Finally we are here” He said and removed my blindfold
I stood on top of a hill starring at the most beautiful scene ever
“This place is so beautiful Alex” I said and he stood behind me wrapping his arms around me
I smiled and pulled him closer “Do you remember what happened here?” he asked
“Though I can remember little things from the past,I can’t remember what happened here,Is it something very important?” I asked
” Yes , You see this was the place you and I met,For the very first time “He said and I smiled
” You were about to fall and then I held you tight,Staring into your beautiful eyes,It was then that I knew that you are the one for me”He said kssing my neck
“And Did I know that you were the one for me then?” I asked
“You did,You just played hard to get for a bit” He said and I laughed
“Tell me? What about your sister?” He asked
“As far as I know,She is getting in touch with mom but personally have not chatted with her yet” I said
“Well at least she is fine,Come on,Let’s go and eat ” he said pulling me towards the picnic spread he had put down
We were eating,talking and playing with one another when his phone rang
He picked it up and soon his expression changed
“Yes we will be there soon” He said and switched off the phone
“What’s wrong?” I asked
“Its Sarah, She is back” He said and immediately I stood up
“What About Francis?” I asked
“He hasn’t shown his face yet,Common weve got to go and know why Sarah returned,She had been with him for A week” He said and took hold of my hand.
Through the whole journey back home,I kept on thinking about Francis
Ever since we came back from the villa, Sarah and Francis never returned
When we waited almost three days and the both of them never showed up,We knew that Francis had known that we were suspecting him and that was why he never came back home and as for Sarah,Since she is his lover,We had thought that she will be with him but its a surprise to know that she is back
We got back to the palace and saw her with our respective parents,She was sitted on the chair crying
“What’s going on here?” Alex said and immediately she saw him
She ran to him and hug him tight “My love it was so horrible,so very horrible” She said holding unto Alex
As gently as he pulled her away from him
“What happened?”
“Its Francis, He took me hostage, He wouldn’t let me go, He made my life a living he….ll for a week” She said crying hard
“Do you expect me to believe that,You were his lover Sarah” Alex said and I saw her stare at him in shock
“Don’t you try denying it,We saw the CCTV footage” Alex added
She sat down on the chair and nodded her head gently
“Yes, I was his lover,But Francis forced me to do it,He threatened me” She said crying profusely.
I didn’t know why but something in me didn’t believe what she just said
“And you didn’t bother to tell me this?” Alex said
“That I’s because, You were busy with her” Sarah said as she stared at me
“Its enough now Alex,the poor thing is devastated,Let her rest for a while” His mother said and with the help of the maid
They took her upstairs.
“Do you believe what she said” I asked Alex as we both stood by the balcony
“I don’t know, Am not sure what to believe right now” He said
“Well I think that you should believe whatever your heart tells you” I said
“And what does your heart tells you” He asked
“That she is lying,Believe me when I say this, Francis might be anything but he would never hurt a female,What she said about him threatening and keeping her hostage,I just can’t believe it” I said
“Well you won’t believe it because it didn’t happen to you” She said suddenly
We both turned to find her there starring at us
“How can you be here with her when am suffering upstairs ” Sarah said angrily
“That is because She is the one I love and want to be with,I was waiting for you to return so we can start the divorce” He said
“Your divorcing me for her!!!” She yelled angrily
“Youve known the score all along,If they hadn’t made me believe that Melanie was dead,I will Still be with her,I would never have married you” He said
“I hate you both,I really do” she said and ran to her room
Alex wanted to go after her but I stopped him
“Let me talk to her” I said and gave him a kss before walking off
I knocked on the door and walked into the room
She was sitted on the bed starring out through the window
“Leave,I don’t want to talk” She said
“But I do” I said
“Do you think I would want to talk to a bch who took my husband from me” She yelled angrily
“Am not a bch and I know that your lying” I said and she stared at me in shock
“Francis might be anything but when it comes to women,He respect them a lot,He would never have threatened you or would have kept you as a hostage” I said
“But he did” She said
“Stop lying and just tell me the truth” I said
“Fine,You want the truth,I will tell you” She said
“I was with Francis not as an hostage but as his lover”
“I never wanted to come back here but because he still had some score to settle with you all,He asked me to come”
“Keep this a secret between us, Francis is coming back for you” She said and laughed hysterically making me scared
“He is on his way right now And am sure that once he arrives, He won’t spare anyone of you,Most especially you” she said and immediately I ran out of the room to warn Alex
I was heading through the corridor when I saw the guards all on the floor,They were unconscious
I quickly ran into Alex room only to find him lying unconscious on the floor And Francis was standing over him
“Hello my love” He said giving me a dev…lish smile
