Episode 24
?Melanie POV ?
“Alex!! What did you do to him” I said wanting to run towards him but he blocked my path
“Get out of my way Francis!” I yelled at him but instead of doing so,Two men out of nowhere held me
“Let me go! What did you do Alex and the rest” I said
“Nothing okay! I just asked Sarah to add sleeping meds into their food and it seemed like everyone ate but you didn’t,if you had been asleep,You wont have to watch me kill Alex” he said
“No Francis,Don’t hurt Alex,please” I said begging
“I have no choice,This guy here took everything that should have been mine,The wealth,The throne and also your love”
“Do you know that if I had been the one on the throne Seven years ago,It would have been me you loved and craved for” He said bringing out a gun
“No Francis,Please don’t do anything to him” I said
“You must really love this ba$tard” He said kicking Alex who was deeply sedated
“Yes,I love him and for that am willing to do anything you ask me,Just don’t hurt him” I said and he stared at me,His face lightning up
“Yes,Anything,Let’s just leave Alex and the rest alone” I said
“If I should leave them,You will be coming with me, Agree?” He said and I nodded
Taking hold of my hand,While some of his guards joined us,We all walked out of the house.
“What about Sarah?” I asked
“As of this moment,She is being killed, I have no use for her anymore,You and the throne are the only thing I want now” He said
“No Francis,Don’t hurt sar……” I couldn’t finish my word because I heard Sarah scream and somewhere outside I heard a loud thump.
“Your too late” He said pushing me forward
I got outside only to see Sarah body on the floor,She had been thrown off the balcony
“No,No No” I cried as I knelt in front of her
“Why are you feeling sorry for her,She didn’t care about you,She asked me to kill you as soon as I got the chance,Little did she know that it was her I was planning to kill” He said
“But that doesn’t mean you should kill her”I yelled hitting his chest
He held me tightly and before I could do anything,He pressed a white handkerchief on my face and within minute,I was asleep…….
ALEX POV
I stood by the police and also by the ambulance
I watched them take away Sarah corpse
The poor thing didn’t deserve to die,Even though she chose to do bad things,She didn’t deserve this cruel death
And its all that bastard fault,That Francis bastard had killed Sarah and he has taken Melanie with him
” Your highness,Stay still,We need to know if you didn’t sustain Any other injury”the Paramedic said but I pushed her away
“How can I be here when the love of my life is with that creep” I yelled angrily
“You’ve got to calm down your majesty,We are working on it” the police said walking towards me to assure Me
“That man is a maniac,He along with Sarah filled our food with sedatives and that got everyone of us to sleep,I wonder what He is doing her right now”
“He is a maniac,He could harm her,Please find her as soon as possible” I said
“We will” The police said and walked off
I walked towards my parents,They also had ate the food that had been poisoned with sleeping meds by Sarah.
All of us had ate it,Except for Melanie,During that time,She had gone to talk to Sarah.
The only thing I could remember last before the meds took its effect was Francis walking into the study
I knew then and there that Francis was the master mind in all this
“What are they saying about my daughter?” Melanie mom asked
“That they would find her,let your mind be at rest,Melanie will be fine” I said to her and she nodded woodenly
“Poor Sarah,Her parents would be devastated” My mom said crying
“They sure will,I heard that Rex is back” My father said
“Well if he is,His parents needs him now more than ever”I said
” Your majesty,It seems like we got a clue”The police said as he walked towards me
“The hostage was clever to keep her phone with her,We’ve managed to trace them down” He said
“Well let’s go and search for her” I said and left with the police
MELANIE POV
I woke up to find myself tied up on a chair and I was in a warehouse
I tried freeing myself but it was too tight and just then I heard Francis laugh
I looked up and saw Francis starring down at me
“You can’t run away Melanie,Whether you like it or not you belong to me” He said
“You don’t love me,So why keep me here” I said
“As a pawn,if my deal doesn’t go well,I will use you to get money from those ba$tards” He said
“Just give up Francis, Stop this craziness of yours,Give up already” I said
“Not after have worked so hard,Just to get what I want,I won’t let it all go like that” He said angrily
“You weren’t like this Francis, what changed you?” I asked
“Everything changed me,Everything and I won’t rest until I get everything” He said starring at me
Just then I heard the police siren and I knew that I was safe for the very first time
“Who called those ba$tards,How did they even find out?” He questioned harshly and I pretended not to know
The fools hadn’t known that I had my phone with me
Am sure that it had been tracked and that’s why they are here now
Just then I began to hear people shooting and bent my head for safety and in anger
Francis walked to me and loosened the rope and then he pulled me to him and point the gun to my head
‘”Francis please just give up already”I said getting more scared
“No I won’t?we are both going to die together” He said and at that moment the ware house door burst open and Alex along with the police walked in and when they saw me in his arms,They stopped.
“Don’t hurt her Francis*Alex yelled at him
” put your gun down!”the police demanded but he did nothing
“You creep, You and your darn father took everything from us,I was just trying to take back what belong to us ” He said in frustration
“I didn’t want it to be this way but it has come to this,You all will leave my way or I kill he………” He couldn’t finish his words because I heard a gunshot
When Francis fell on the floor behind,I knew that he was the shot,I turned to see that Alex had pulled the shot.
He walked towards me and held me tight
“I lost you seven years ago,Am not prepared to do that again,Not again” He said and let go of the gun and then he kssed me and I held unto him and kssed him back
I was safe now,Though am sorry that Francis life has ended this way……..
A WEEK LATER
“she might have been cruel and all but she didn’t deserve to die this way” I said standing by Sarah grave along with Alex
“She chose her path Melanie and she chose the wrong one” He said gently
A week has past since the terrible incident, Though I still remember everything and I still have nightmare about it
We were so very occupied with a lot of things that we didn’t make it to Sarah funeral
Coming here now, Was us paying her our last respect
She had been his wife and the queen for a while,If she had been a good person,I am sure that we would have been best of friends but as Alex have said,She chose her path,The wrong one
“Common let’s go back” He said and I nodded putting the flowers on her grave
“Goodbye Sarah” I said before turning to leave with Alex
Just then I saw a familiar grave ahead and I went to it before Alex could stop Me
Bending down I dropped the flowers on Francis grave
“He had been a good person Alex,A very sweet man,He could never hurt a fly much less a woman,I wonder where it all got wrong” I said as tears slipped off my face
” It all started when he started covering something that was not his”He said
“I just hope he is happy wherever he is” I said as I wiped off the tears.
Alex turned me to face him and gave me a smile
“No more sad thought, Let’s put all these behind us,Let’s think of them with only the good memory” He said and I nodded smiling up at him
“So now let’s head back to the Palace to get our wedding preparation started” He said
“That soon Alex?” I said
“That soon,I can’t wait any more,I just want you to be my wife,The mother of my kids and the only one I spend the rest of my life with” He said
“Alex this is not the right place to propose” I said a bit shy and very much happy
“I don’t care Melanie,For years I had to lose you just because people kept meddling in our lives,Well not anymore my love, I love you and as long as your with me,We can overcome new obstacles and stay strong together” he said
“Yes love,I agree,I agreee” I said and he crushed my lips to his and kssed it
“I love you my darling personal maid”
“That’s a cheesy thing to say” I said
“Your meant to say something cheesy too”He said as we walk back to the car
” And what will that cheesy thing be,I can’t think of any “I lied
“Really? Want me force one of you” He said and knowing that he will tickle me until he got his answer,I began to run to the car
But he caught me and kssed me fiercely
“Say it!” He said
“I love you my handsome king,It has always been only you” I said and he smiled
“Now let’s go prepare for wedding,I cant wait to be your Husband ”
We walked back to the car hand in hand and I knew that with the love of my life with me,Nothing and no one will separate us again
Together till infinity,I thought as I smiled up at him…………..
