Clara’s pov
I ran my fingers through his hair. The sun fell through the curtains and fell on us.
He is holding me tightly to him, like I would disappear any minute.
His face is on my neck. His legs are around mine. His hands around my waist.
I can’t sleep all night. I kept thinking about him. He must have gone through so much since childhood.
I couldn’t even imagine what he had felt. That loneliness, that I never felt.
I always had mom and brother with me to warm me up whenever I feel sad.
But not him. That tells why he is so emotionless outside, while inside he is a softie.
I looked down at him and ran a finger over his sharp nose. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at me.
I gave him smile. He lifted his head up and pecked my cheek.
“Good morning”, he greeted calmly still holding me, but this time pulled me to him as he slept on his back.
“Good morning”, I greeted back with another big smile.
We just stayed like that for how much time I don’t know. It’s so cool, calm, nice, silent and peaceful. I love this.
Our breathing is normal, but we can hear our heartbeats. I slowly moved and sat up on the bed.
“Brush your teeth and come out soon. I will make breakfast”, I told him and got up.
Then I realized that I am still in my robe since I slept in it last night.
“Okay”, I heard him say and he went to the bathroom as he got up from the bed.
I went inside the closet and took out a light pink tank top with white shorts.
I removed the robe and heard a sharp intake of breath.
I turned around and found Dalton looking at me.
He is looking down at me and then back into my eyes.
His eyes filled with lu$t. What is he looking at?

Just he was about to kss me, we heard a knock on the bedroom door.
“You may escape today. But not always”, he whispered and winked at me before walking out.
I followed him out and he opened the door. Jenna stood there holding a trolly full of food and a newspaper. I smiled at her.
“Good morning Jenna”, I greeted and she smiled back.
“Good morning”, she said and Dalton moved aside letting her in.
He gave me a look before going inside the bathroom.

As soon as the bathroom door closed, Jenna came to me.
“What?”, I asked confused with the look on her face. She is smiling widely.
“So what happened? Did you guys do it? I mean, I know I shouldn’t put my finger in all this, but curiosity is killing me”, she asked with a grin. I smiled back at her.
“No. We didn’t do it. And no, I am not telling you anything more”, I smiled at her and sat down on the bed.
“I understand. I am sorry for asking”, she looked sorry.
“It’s okay. I am not bothered. It’s just that…. nothing happened”, I agreed looking down at my hands.
“What? Really?”, she asked with her eyebrows furrowed.
“Yes. But the good thing is, I came to know him more. I saw what he is”.
“That’s a good thing”.
“We are going back home today morning. Thank you so much for all the help”, I told her.
“No mention. It’s my job”, she smiled.
I nodded my head at her.
“But everything will be okay. I am sure”, she assured.
“I hope so”, I agreed and she smiled before walking out.
Dalton came out with a towel hanging around his waist.
Water droplets dripping on his chest and he ran a hand through his wet hair.
Drool almost came out of my mouth. His muscles flexed as he took another towel and dried his hair. He came and sat beside me.
My eyes following his every movement.
“Am I hot enough for you?”, Dalton asked eating the breakfast without looking at me.
“Huh?”, I asked coming out of my dreamy state. He pushed my chin up which fell down when he came out of the bathroom.
“Careful. Drool may come out”, he said and winked at me. Oh, shoot!
“Hey! Don’t tease me!
I am sure that is the same expression you gave me when you saw me naked a few minutes ag-“, I stopped when I realized what I am saying.
God! Why do I have such a big mouth?!
“Uhuh?”, he asked with a smile almost popping out on his face.
“Uh…. Yeah…. I mean…. You know….”, I trailed off.
“Oh yeah. I know”, he mocked. I hit his shoulder with my fist.
“Stop teasing me”, I whined and looked away.
I heard a small throaty laugh from him and my eyes widened as I saw him laugh. He has a smile on his face. He looks so Godly when he laughs!
“You look beautiful when you laugh”, I said while looking at him. He stopped and looked at me. He held my face in his.
“Not as much as you”, he said and I smiled at him. He pulled me into his lap and pecked my neck.
“Dalton”, I whispered.
“Get ready soon. We should leave by ten”, he told me and I nodded before getting up from his lap.
“Okay”, I said and went into the bathroom to bath.
I soon bathed and came out. I wore a normal light green summer dress and started combing my hair. I saw Martin on the mirror fully dressed in a grey suit.
He came and hugged me from behind. The chain he gave me is dangling on my neck.
“What?”, I asked him as he kept staring at me.
“Nothing. Can’t I hold you?”, he asked.
“Of course you can. But not now. We will get late”.
“Who cares. I am the boss”.
“A boss should never be late”, I said turning in his arms.
He took the comb from my hands.
“Leave your hair down”, he said running his hand through my knotless hair.

We got in the car and soon reached the airport. We are inside his private flight, sitting side by side.
The plane soon started moving and flew. Dalton took my hand and later pulled me into his lap as we sat on the bed in the room.
He closed the door tight. He kept pecking my neck and we made out for a while.

“Why is the boss in a r®mantic mood today?”, I teased while asking with a grin.
“After a few hours, we will be back to our normal life and you will not be working with me anymore”, he complained.
“Sorry”, I said kissing his lips lightly.
We didn’t talk, but just sat there a few minutes with me in his arms.
“Dalton? Can I ask you something?”, I asked as I pulled away a little and looked at him. He tucked my hair back of my ear.
“Anything Cara Mia”, he admitted.
“Promise me you will”, I asked him with a serious look. He looked confused, but didn’t ask.
“I promise”, he said and I took a deep breathe.
“I want you to meet your grandfather”, I said it out.
He looked taken aback.
