CHAPTER 30
“Those two have been married for almost a month and yet, no new updates” Cassandra pouted, she was with Smith, Annalise dad
“Give them some time Sandra” Smith said but Cassandra shook her head
“Should we invite them over for dinner, drug their drink and make them sleep together?”
“No that’ll be a terrible idea” Smith immediately shook his head and Cassandra sighed
“They should get closer and do it themselves, there should be no need for hurry” Smith said and Cassandra nodded smiling
“Just.. my mom never got to see her grandson and I wanna see mine before something happens” she said turning to Smith
“Why are you talking like that?, Nothing’s going to happen” Smith said and Cassandra smiled widely taking her drink, she gulped it all.
“But still, they need someone, like a pushover of not they’ll still be stagnant and still like a river”
“You know still water runs deep right?, Give them some time and space and they’ll certainly do a great job”
“I hope so”.

“Don’t go” Annalise said stretching her short arms stopping Zane from leaving
“What’s with you?, Get out I’m running late” Zane said but she shook her head
“Just stay a day, just one day” Annalise pleaded
“No, besides I’ve been home with you for two long”
“It hasn’t been a week” Annalise blinked
“So?, You want to turn me into a babysitter?”
“Just today, stay and watch a movie with me”
“We’ll watch a movie when I get back” Zane said and tried to leave again
“Please”
“Then just join me at work”
“Really?” Annalise eyes brightened up
“No, you’ve been too absent from school you’ll be writing exams soon” Zane said
“Fine I’ll go but you’ll watch the movie with me tonight right?”
“Yes now move”
“No, pinky promise” Annalise said bringing out her pinky finger
“Am I kid or something?” Zane scoffed but sighed when Annalise glared at him
Reluctantly, they make the promise and Annalise was smiling again, Zane shook his head, women and their weird mood swings.

Zane wanted to watch the movie with her but immediately he got to the company, he was piled with work and he lost track of time, before he could get home it was almost 11pm
She could be asleep by now, it’s too late
But unexpectedly when he got home she was still awake, or more like half awake cos she was nodding her head sleepily
“You’re still awake?” Zane asked
“You’re late” she pouted
“Ah.. I was caught up with work..”
“I’m less important then, we already missed the movie there’s no need for it anymore” she said calmly standing up, she walked upstairs.

“But we could watch another one” Zane suggested but she ignored him
“Annalise?…. Lisa?” Zane called walking up behind her but she still ignored him, she went to their room and shut the door
He went to the door and tried opening it but it was locked, she locked him out?

“Hey Lisa I’m sorry could you open the door?”
No response
“Lisa?”
Still no response
Zane sighed and ran his hand through his hair frustratingly… She’s angry..
