A LIAR AT THE ALTAR SEASON 2: CHAPTER 31 – The End

Chapter 34

They ran to Tristan when they saw me coming their way, they were really enjoying this. Tristan woke up when Kayden fell on him.

“Come here, you muffins.”
Tristan grabbed both of them.

“Let’s go to sleep, Mommy is tired.”

He pulled them closer, they stayed quiet and laid next to him.

I sighed in relief and turned to leave.

“Cassie, ” Tristan called stopping me.

“Yes?”

“Come here.”
He tapped the space next to the twins.

I climbed the bed and laid next to the twins. They were still awake but stayed silent.

Tristan placed a peck on their head and a quick one on my lips.

“Goodnight, I love you all,” he said and turned off the lights.

We went to see Morris the next day, he was getting better. I really missed him and I couldn’t wait for him to recover fully.

I went to the police station to ask about Mrs. Porter if anyone came to claim the body but I was surprised no one came.

I knew she didn’t have anyone. I went straight to speak to Tristan about giving Mrs. Porter a nice funeral.

Saturday morning, I invited a few people from the neighbourhood and my family and we gathered for Mrs. Porter’s funeral.

I gave a speech directly from the heart and I couldn’t hold the tears back when I finished my speech.

The following week went smoothly, I felt like my life was complete, like I was on the right track.

Spending time with the kids and Tristan had healed all my wounds from the past and to be honest, it felt like my new beginning.

Kayla was comfortable around everyone now but she always wanted to be with Kayden. I cried the first time she called me, mom.

Tristan’s been going out a lot, he told me he was checking for a new house.

Tuesday evening he picked me up and took me with him to check the new house, he wanted to know what I thought of the house before he could buy it.

It was a few minute’s drives from the Sanchesters’ Mansion.

“We’re here.”
He parked in front of a three-story mansion with a big fountain at the front. The yard was as large as a field.

“Wow, it’s…big”
I said gaping at the size.

“You’ll love the inside, let’s go.”

I kept looking around as I walked to the door, I opened it and stepped in.

“Oh my God!”
I gasped at the sight of my friends and families, they all smiled at me.

I read the letters they were all holding SAY YES. The roses, balloons and the decorations were lovely.

I turned around to look at Tristan, he was on one knee and holding out a diamond ring.

“Will you marry me, Cassandra?”
