~~~sulking in the past~~~
Kaylan couldn’t think of anything at that moment. An idea suddenly pop up in her head and decided to go with the idea. She carried the bowl of water ready pour it on Dean perhaps it might help
She walk up to Dean with the bowl of water though her hands were shaking slightly
She was about pouring the water on his face when he suddenly spoke up weakly
“You wanna kll me untimely?” Dean muttered weakly
“Dean” .. Kaylan called and quickly dropped the bowl of water before hugging him while crying copiously
“I thought you were dead” she cried
“I’m not dying, it was just a terrible nightmare” Dean replied weakly
“You’re still burning up”Kaylan wipe her tears and made to stand but he pulled her back to himself.
“Let’s stay like this for a minute” he said and hug her to his body.
Kaylan sniffed back her tears and held him back while stroking his hair gently
She dis£ngage from the hug and picked up the bowl of water along with the towel. She placed Dean’s head properly on the bed and started to use the w-et towel on him.

Minutes later his fever was gone and he was sleeping peacefully
She sigh and decided to watch him sleep hence his fever starts again
She yawned sleepily and rub her eyes trying to stop herself from falling asleep. She rested her head on the bed and before she knew it, she drifted to sleep

~~ Next morning~~
Dean opened his eyes gently and his gaze met with the white ceiling.
“What happened to me” ? He checked the time and discovered he was late for work already.
He felt something weighing him down. He turned to it’s direction and came face to face with the sleeping Kaylan. Their faces were just inches apart
“Why is she here” ? Dean wondered and the towel fell off from his forehead
Yeah, last night.. he trailed off staring at Kaylan’s face
He was about touching her hair when her eyes suddenly twitch open.
He quickly withdrew his hands and close his eyes pretending to be asleep
“When did I fall asleep” ? Kaylan asked no one in particular as she m@ssage her temple
She touched Dean’s forehead then heave a sigh when she noticed his temperature was normal
“Thanks for being Okay” .. Kaylan smiled and stood up
“Rest well, I will go make you breakfast” .. she added and Walk out of the room with the bowl of water
Dean stood up from bed and stretch while staring at his body
“I really thought I was gonna die last night”. He thought again as the image of last night hug pop up in his head and a smile escape his li-ps
“I can’t believe she care for me “… He smiled
“I really don’t know what you want Kaylan but please don’t confuse me. I don’t want to be hurt a second time”. he sigh before walking out of his room
“You’re awake” .. Kaylan said immediately she sighted him in the sitting room
She was just setting the table
“Yeah.. I am,, thanks to you” .. Dean said and walked closer to her
Kaylan was still placing the food on the table when Dean’s eyes caught the bruises on her arm
“What happened to you?” He grabbed her hand
“It’s nothing” .. Kaylan replied withdrawing her hands from his
Dean held her hand again then his frown de-epened
“Where did you get this?” Dean asked seriously
” It’s nothi…
” Kaylan!!” He called seriously cutting her off
*Why does he care? Kaylan wondered
“I fell from the stairs yesterday when I was trying to get the bowl and towel”.. Kaylan replied and bit on her lower li-ps
Dean stared at her in disbelief. He didn’t know what to say. He was dumbfounded. He couldn’t believe despite the pain she still stayed all night talking care of him
Kaylan withdraw her hands from his bringing him back to reality
“It must have hurt” .. Dean muttered lowly but Kaylan heard him
“Of course not. I will just apply some ointment on it and it will be fine”.. Kaylan smiled and Dean sighed
“What about Collins?” He asked
“He spent the night at mom’s place” .. she replied
“Hope you’re fine now? Your head isn’t hurting right?”Kaylan asked
“Hmm.. he hummed a reply
“That’s a relief” she said
“I’m hungry..
“I made some cheese steak…. I will set the table right away.. she dash into the kitchen and came back seconds later
“I hope you enjoy it” Kaylan smiled and sat opposite him
Dean salivated as he picked up his spoon. He was very hungry since he didn’t eat anything the previous night
Jeez..this is good… he thought as he munch on the food while Kaylan waited patiently for his compliment but none was forthcoming
“Am I missing something” Collins announced his pres£nce as he walked towards them
“And why didn’t you tell me?” Dean dropped his spoon and faced Collins
“Don’t be so serious ,,, mom called and I had to go” .. Collins lied and Dean rolled his eyes
He had intentionally left the house the previous day because he wanted to give Kaylan and Dean some space
Collins pick up Dean’s spoon and ate from Dean’s plate
“Gosh..an angel’s hands did magic to this.. it’s so delicious” Collins m-oan sweetly
“I already told her that” Dean muttered but Kaylan and Collins heard him
“I don’t believe that.. Collins arch a brow
“You didn’t” kaylan chipped in
“See? You h@rdly compliment anyone’s food even mom’s” Collins scoff
“Whatever” Dean replied and seize his spoon from Collins
“If you continue like this, your future wife will have issues with you,,, So you better change your disgusting attitude or you might end up marrying me” Collins said and walk upstairs while Kaylan chuckled softly
“I will be right back pretty Kaylan” he said loudly from his room and Kaylan smiled
“Will you go somewhere with me?” Dean faced her.
He was silently praying she would agree
“Alright.. Kaylan replied with a smile
“Do you always smile like this?” Dean frown and she nodded
“I don’t like it when you smile… He said and stood up while she frown
“You look pretty when you do.. he added and with that, he walked to his room leaving Kaylan who was blushing heavily
“Did I hear him wrongly? Did he just say I’m pretty? She wondered
Yeah, that was the very first time Dean would be telling her something like that
“Could we be going on a date? Or Is it the date he told me about few weeks back? Kaylan thought again and her li-ps curve into a smile
“Are you that happy?” Collins asked as he ate from Dean’s plate bringing her out of her thoughts
“Gosh.. you startled me” Kaylan exclaimed
“I guess you must be so happy you’re going out on a date with him that you didn’t notice my pres£nce”
“W-who told you it’s a date? We are just going somewhere together” Kaylan said
“And you look so happy?” Collins smir-ked
“Yeah because I’ve never gone on a date or go anywhere with a guy alone. I wasn’t chanced since I’ve been busy all my life” Kaylan replied
“Make sure you have fun then” Collins winked and Kaylan smiled widely.
