“So write down your answer here” Claribel pointed to a particular space in Andrea’s textbook as she helped her with her assignment
They were outside… In the garden.. Andrea’s favorite place in the house, her mother loved there too when she was alive and of course, Claribel isn’t excluded
Dylan was having an online meeting with some chief executives from other companies, the other maids were engaged in one thing or the other while Lady Ann prepared dinner
“3 multiplied by two gives you…?”
“Uhhmm.. six!” Andrea said and Claribel gave her a thumbs up
“Write down your answer” she pointed at a box and Andrea scribbled it down immediately
Claribel suddenly noticed some movements behind her and she looked around in suspicion but found no one
Andrea sat opposite her so she could see her nanny’s back.. Claribel could feel her heart racing but she managed to remain calm hoping nothing was wrong… The security is damn tight!!
They continued and Andrea suddenly looked up… Widening her eyes
“Mummmmmmmm!!!!!” She screamed loudly pointing at a particular direction… A tear slipped from the corner of her eyes
Claribel froze and tried turning to see what it was but before she could turn.. the unexpected happened….
Two bvllets rammed through her back and she groaned
“Arrrrrgh..”
Andrea kept screaming.. Claribel’s bI.ood came to view and slowly she fell from the chair she was sitting on, to the ground……

Dylan’s Mansion…
“Mum…”
“Mum…?” Andrea called severally, jolting Claribel out of her thoughts
“Ahh..” she heaved a deep sigh in relief
“That was a bad imagination..” she said breathlessly.. looking around
“Imagination..?, you were looking so lost” Andrea bit her lower lip and Claribel could only smile shortly
“Lets continue..”
“Number four… Three multiplied by four?”
“Hmmm..”
“Ten” Andrea said and Claribel shook her head negatively
“Wrong.. twelve”
“Ohhhh..”

Millstone Hospitals..
Brinkley picked on her nails awaiting the doctor.. different thoughts ran across her mind and her heart kept racing
“I hope it’s just a mere fever” she mumbled under her breath
The door flew open and she sat up expecting to see the doctor come in but her face fell when a nurse came in
“Greetings to you” she smiled in her Japanese accent
Brinkley managed to force a smile
“Hi..”
“The doctor should be here soon.. I’m sorry he’s keeping you waiting” she said, picking some files from the desk
Brinkley nodded slowly
“It’s okay..”
“I’m Yvonne.. ” she extended her hand for a handshake
“Brinkley..” Brinkley said obviously with no interest… She received the handshake though…shortly
She nurse smiled and proceeded to the door, she suddenly noticed a mark at the back of her neck as she walked… She stopped on her tracks and stared at the mark squinting her eyes a bit
It was a crystal-shaped mark, visible enough for one to see clearly.. her gaze landed on her folded fists and she opened her palm widely.. she shrieked…
“It’s fking the same!”
Brinkley noticed she was staring at her… She turned
“What..” she furrowed her brows and the lady feigned a smile
“It’s nothing” she said quickly and left the office
“I’m sure she was staring at me!” Brinkley wondered and shrugged
The door opened again and she heaved a deep sigh in relief as the doctor entered, holding a piece of paper, obviously the test result
“Miss Anderson..”The doctor smiled, adjusting her glasses
“Wilson please” she corrected immediately and the doctor muttered an ‘ohhh’
“My apologies.. well the result is out” she said.. Brinkley adjusted herself on the chair, looking straight into her eyes..
“How’s it..”
“Well, fortunately, you’re negative to the sickness we assumed you have… But…” The doctor paused, trying to study her facial expression
Brinkley was dying in anticipation to hear the result
“But…?” She mumbled slowly
“Calm down miss…” She said and Brinkley forced a smile… The doctor adjusted her glasses, diverting her gaze back to the paper in her hands
She flashed a warm smile
“Congratulations miss.. you’re pregnant.. two weeks gone” she said and Brinkley arms dropped in disappointment, her smile slowly disappeared and she felt her heart shattering into pieces
In short, her whole body froze in shock
“Congratulations.. once again, our hospital offers special care for pregnant mothers and it’s advisable th…” The doctor kept saying
Brinkley turned to the left… her feeling was unexplainable
Sad..? Messed up..? Doomed..? Angry..?
She was almost going crazy, she tried to cry but her eyes produced no tears
She couldn’t even find the right words to say, the doctor’s words were none of her concern right now
All that was in her head was her pregnancy for him… For her brother!!
