Chapter 30
Korea..
Cathy’s legs moved faster as she noticed some suspicious movements behind her
“Why do I feel like.. I’m being followed” she thought and immediately turned but found no one
“Eish…”
She suddenly swerved swiftly into a corner and peeped, watching if she could see who it is.. and almost immediately, her eyes caught a lady dressed in all black.. she smirked
“From Roxanne again..” she thought
Her hands found its way into her inner pocket and immediately she grabbed à knife from it.. walking slowly behind the lady who seemed lost
She shoved the knife into her back immediately.. it came out through her chest and the lady fell slowly in agonizing pains
“Arggggh..!” She groaned as blood poured freely from her lips… To the tarred floor
Everyone around ran away immediately
“I’m smarter than your boss.. but she keeps sending brats to spy on me.. if she’s truly brave, she should show her face…” Cathy smiled, revealing her ugly burnt face
“My regards to my grandmother in heaven” she laughed out loud
The lady fell on the ground and she immediately removed the knife from her back, cleaning the bI.ood stain with her dress before slipping it into her pocket again
She looked around and left the scene immediately, heading towards her destination..

After few minutes of walking, she entered a green building and a familiar man attended to her immediately
“I need a skin mask.. really need to conceal this face” she said and the yellowed teeth man nodded.. flashing a smile
She scoffed silently
“Fair or white ..”
“A white pretty face” she replied and the man nodded immediately
“Prepare my flight to New York, I’ll be leaving on Wednesday.. and the clothes.. I want long sleeves, turtle necks and trousers.. make sure you are very careful”.she whispered and he nodded
“Sure boss.. I got the flowers also” hesaid
“I know right..”
“Do what I demanded” she added with a deep sigh..
“I’ll be right back..” he said and entered an inner room

MANSION..
The dining table had been set already with varieties of dishes for breakfast.. everyone was sitted already except Claribel
She entered and bowed in greetings.. Sophia flashed her a warm smile while the rest kept a straight face
Brinkley glared dangerously at her and she smirked secretly, taking the last seat..coincidentally beside Mavis
“Hi” she muttered but he gave no reply, instead he looked away
“So.. everyone should make a choice, five different breakfast dish was prepared” Sophia said flashing a smug smile
Every one started making their choices and the maids helped in serving
“Hmmph..” Claribel breathed, she only requested for omelette and a cup of chocolate tea
Ashley smirked secretly, watching everyone eat peacefully
“Wait till I’m done with you all” she thought with a devilish smile
“Dad.. my fiancee is carrying my baby” Tristan suddenly said taking a bite from his toast
“Huh…” Dylan’s gaze landed on them
“Why do I keep sensing a dark aura from her” Claribel thought
“Really..” Chairman James face lightened up with a broad smile
“Yes dad.. we need to move to our house soon, it’s not advisable she stays in an hotel” Tristan said and Ashley scoffed silently..
Mavis noticed and he shot her a suspicious look.. Chief Wilson pinched his wife.. giving her a
“Don’t dare say anything” look
“You can’t move to any of the Langfords mansion until you both are legally married” Sophia retorted.. almost choking on her ham
“But Dylan stays in a mansion without a proper marriage” Ashley said without realizing
“That’s because Dylan was formerly married before moving in to the mansion and when his wife died, he definitely can’t move out” Sophia replied sharply
“Ohhw”
“Does it mean he will move to another mansion after he gets married to Brinkley..? Chief Wilson asked
“If he likes.. since its my wish” Chairman James replied and they both laughed
Mavis felt somehow immediately, ever since the incidence between him and his sister, he has always been feeling a strange connection to her and feels somehow whenever he remembers she’s getting married to Dylan
“She’s my sister… I have no authority over her” he thought
Brinkley said nothing.. she only kept glaring daggers at Claribel remembering the Kisss
Sophia’s eyes suddenly caught the ring on Dylan’s finger.. She looked at Brinkley’s but found none
She turned to Claribel and realised she also had the same ring on
Her face beamed in smiles
“Are this your engagement rings..” she asked, turning to Dylan
Chairman James’s scrunched up his face staring with a blank expression
“Yes mum..” Dylan replied immediately giving Claribel a “play along” look.. she nodded slightly
“For how long have you both been engaged” Tristan asked knowingly and Dylan glared at him before flashing a smile
“For.. about four months now” he said and Brinkley’s gaze landed on him
“Definitely.. I already got engaged with her before i got betrothed to Brinkley” Dylan added
Chairman James’s scoffed.. clearing his throat, all gazes diverted to him
“I never approved your relationship, so your engagement was zero on ten” he said
“Do I need your approval before I fall in love..?!” Dylan replied.. bluntly
Claribel bit her lower lip
“Love…”
“Learn to respect your father..” Chief Wilson said, sipping from his creamy coffee
“Of course.. you are free to fall in love but if I don’t approve your engagement, there’s no way you can be together” James paused.. staring at Claribel for a while.. She looked away immediately

“Therefore, Brinkley is your legal and rightful fiancee” he continued, Dylan swallowed hard
“Can you state where it is written in the law that a man and woman must be married even if the groom isn’t in support” Mavis found himself asking
Every one was surprised.. Claribel gasped
“Isn’t he Brinkley’s brother..” she thought.. Dylan and Sophia smiled shortly

“Of course not.. cuz if I were to be in Dylan’s shoes, I’ll definitely not marry her and instead marry the lady I’m in love with” he said and Brinkley’s eyes widened immediately
“Mavis…?!”
