Chapter 35

Her head began turning.. She started feeling weak, the sleep disappeared from her eyes immediately

“Dy…….. Dy…..lan” she called faintly.. slowly going down

She had to lean on the wall for support, it was just so unbelievable, she could not shout, nor scream or even yell.. she could only watch in complete shock

She slid on the wall, going down fully.. her bvtt finally reached the cold floor and surprisingly a tear fell from her glassy eyes

“Did he lie to me..?”

“He told me he never loved her..right?”

“He deceived me and I fooolishly fell for his lies.. using Andrea to make me concur!!”

“He used me..!!”

Many thoughts ran across her mind, and she couldn’t find a right answer to her questions… It was all like a dream

She touched her wet face and realised she had been crying

“I shouldn’t be crying.. after all, he’s only my boss” she said to her self but that didn’t help matters, her tears fell freely and uncontrollably

She slowly stood up, feeling a terrible headache, she twisted the door knob and slowly opened the door only to bump into Mavis

She almost staggered but he quickly held her left arm.. noticing her tears

“What’s wrong..”

“What are you doing here” they both asked at the same time.. Claribel gulped down nothing, sniffing back her tears

“What are you doing here..?” She asked again

“I’m sorry.. I mistook this room for my room” he lied

“Why are you crying..?” He asked..

She opened her mouth to speak but immediately she remembered he was a Wilson.. the b!tch’s brother.. she stopped

“It’s none of your business” she said frankly and tried walking away

Mavis pulled her back again… making her come closer to him than before he opened the door, and looked to see what was going on

His heart skipped many beats at once too

“What the…!!” He gasped in complete shock, but covered his mouth..

“I knew she was up to something..!!!!”

On a normal state.. he isn’t supposed to care right..? after all, she’s his betrothed.. but he could swear that he felt bad… surprisingly

His shaky hands found its way into his pocket and he brought out his phone, taking a picture of the view… he closed back the door..

Claribel had been staring at him all this while and her tears fell more freely this time

He pulled her into a tight hug, resting his head on her shoulder…. He needed the hug urgently, to calm himself down

Claribel didn’t bother to struggle or restrain.. she sniffed repeatedly on his chest

After a minute, they disengaged and he breathed… Trying hard to hide how sad and angry he was

“I know how bad you’re feeling… but I’m just so sure Dylan isn’t to blame, my sister could be very desperate and infact, I’m not in support of her marriage to him, that’s why I said those words on the dining table”

He tried consoling… But Claribel wasn’t even listening.. she kept reminiscing about everything

Her first ksss….. With him

Second….. With him

Third…. With him!!!

“He used me..” she mumbled under her breath as her tears kept pouring

“Its okay” he said, rubbing her shoulder

“You could spend the night in my room if you don’t mind, I’m suffering from insomnia, so I’m not the type that sleeps… I’ll be in the sitting room” he said and before she could reply, he left instantly with glassy eyes

“This can’t be happening…” Her mind screamed, her eyes were red already and the throbbing headache kept increasing every second.. she dragged her legs to the room she assumes to be Mavis.. and luckily it was empty but definitely not Mavis’s

She fell heavily on the bed and closed her eyes… Her temperature rose already, she was burning up

“I was almost falling… He’s a liar!!”

“I’m leaving here first thing tomorrow.. I’m not interested anymore!”

“Dmn you!!”

Living room..

Mavis held his chest, groaning silently in great pains.. as he held the arm of the couch for support, to prevent him from falling

“Noo.. my chest”

“Arrgh…” He cried, bIeeding from all holes in his body

The headache increased every second and it felt like his head was on fire and the pains from his chest were excruciating… this happens each time he feels heartbroken or terribly sad

He has been like that for the past twenty years and no one, except Aurora, his ex girlfriend

He staggered, wincing silently, trying hard to evade making loud sounds as he managed to walk to the bathroom with his hands on his chest.. in pains

“Arrrgh..” he breathed heavily as he turned on the faucet, going under the cold shower, like that.. without removing his clothes

The water poured directly on him and after a few minutes.. the pain reduced gradually, till it stopped

He leaned on the toilet basin, breathing heavily.. his brown hair sticking to his forehead due to its wetness

“Brinkley…” He muttered slowly
