Chapter 60

*MEDICAL TOUCH HOSPITAL*

Mr Robinson, the head doctor in the hospital patiently waited in his office for the arrival of a fellow doctor Mr Andrew whom he consulted for an emergency.

David’s deadline still ringing a bell on his head. Nothing should Happen to Ana’s mom. No matter what.

The substance inside her system is something he hasn’t seen or experienced before.

This substance is slowly eating up her system. That’s why her condition us deteriorating.

He can’t possibly work on this Alone and he can’t also risk loosing Ana’s mom.

Not when David is involved. And that’s why he made a call to a fellow doctor, Mr Andrew for his assistance.

He is good in this aspect. Maybe he can help. Hopefully, he’ll help him out of this mess.

But what still bothers him deeply is who the hell injected this into her system? And how did the person gain access into her ward.

ROSIANA.

I strolled out of my room later that day. The kids already had lunch and are still having nap. It’s few minutes past four in the evening and I’m just waking up.

I feel better now. A bit relieved and my mind a little muddled on my mom’s condition.

The more I think of my mom’s ailment, the more sick I feel. That’s why I just want to keep my mind off it for the moment. Since David told me the doctor confirmed her to be okay.

I walked into Junior’s room and found him awake and playing with his toys on the bed. He’s awake.

The moment his eyes met me, he flashed me a smile with his little set of incomplete teeth.

“What’s up ju-ju” I smiled calling him by his baby name.

He said some gibberish which I acted like I understood.

I walked closer to his bed. He attempted to stand upright but his attempt failed as he fell back on the bed.

Yes. He can stand but with the aid of standing item. He can even take small steps with the aid of something or someone too.

Very soon, he’ll be running round the house.

I smiled again at his attempt to walk up to me, but he ended up falling down.

With each small fall, he’d laugh at himself.

He’s just so cute yunno. He looks so much like his Papa. David.

David is a really blessed young man. He’s blessed with four beautiful smart kids. Gosh! This is just a perfect family.

The father to children relationship is just magic. Not every family has that.

I mean, God blessed him financially to train his kids and they are doing so well. Unlike me. You know, not everybody’s tale tell same. Mine is the other way round and totally different.

There was a sudden knock on the door which drifted my attention from my thoughts.
Hmm. Who’s that now? I groaned hard. Feeling too weak to get up.

David doesn’t return home by this time, even if he does he won’t certainly knock cause he’s got his own key.

The knock came again and again.

“I’ll be right back Junior” I kissed his hair and he gave me a wide smile. Saying his gibberish yet again which obviously I didn’t understand.

I walked out of Junior’s room to get the door.

“Thank goodness you’re here” Mr Robinson shook Doctor Andrew firmly the moment they made contact.

“You said it was urgent. I couldn’t miss out. Had to cancel some appointments” Andrew retorted.

“Thank you. And yes, it’s urgent. There’s a patient in my custody which I’d like to show you.

Her situation is strange and critical I can’t really diagnose her ailment. She was injected with a foreign substance which I can’t identify. And as it is…

“Uhm. Why don’t you show me to the patient. The case is really serious” Doctor Andrew cut into Doctor Robinson’s words.

“Sure thing. Come with me”

Doctor Robinson led the way to the ward. Where doctor Andrew got to examine the patient for few minutes.

“Her case is strange I must admit. Whoever injected this into her system must be really good with drugs. Or must certainly have a great source that makes such. Cause this is really something I can’t easily decipher”

“Exactly my point. That’s why I called you here. I really need your help. The young man is on my neck. I don’t want anything to go wrong cause I’m scared if what he might do.”

“You won’t lose her don’t worry. With time, we’ll help her out of this. But the problem is, the longer the substance dwells inside of her, the faster it damages her immune system and also weakens her heart and it…

“It’ll increase her chances of death.” Dr Robinson finished up for him. Just like he had thought.

“I fear so. But whoever did this certainly has the cure/answer to all this problem”

“Who is it then?”
This question kept ringing like a bell on doctor Robinson’s head as it rendered him speechless.

DAVID

” So none of you can tell me where your Nanny went to?” David stared blankly at his kids who looked numb.

“I swear dad. We woke up from nap to meet the house empty. We haven’t laid our eyes on her since noon” Janietta spoke out.

David paced to and fro as he ran his fingers through his hair. He came back home to meet the door open and No Rosiana.

He’s been worried sick. He can’t even Breathe well. There’s no Ana.

He tried her number but strange enough, her phone is in the house.

It’s past eight and still she isn’t back.

What is going on?

Where can he start looking for her?

She’s never leave the house without her phone or without ringing him.

Besides, she has never stayed this long outside. She hardly goes out.
