“Seriously Alicia, why didn’t you tell me about this? ”
Nora asked looking terrified.
Alicia who already feeling guilty found no word to pacify her friend who was hurt by her confession.
“Please Nora I wasn’t just thinking. I just wanted to take this decision and be Faraway from people that constantly remind me of my past. The past I hate so much.
It’s really hard for me, that’s why I decided to call an agent who’d help fix up a befitting apartment for me outside of town.
That explains a lot to my secret calls. I didn’t want you to know about it till I’m gone.
I thought if you knew, you’d try to keep me back”
Alicia explained truthfully.
“Try to keep you behind? For Pete’s sake Alicia my wedding is just around the corner. I’m not mad at you for making choices to leave. But at least, consider me.
I’m carrying a child and I’m about to get married. Can’t
You stay till it’s done?
I need you more than ever. If you go now, how will I cope? You’re the only family I know.
You’ve grown to be more than just a best friend to me.”
“I’m really sorry Nora. I think I’m just being selfish. I never thought of your feelings. I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine. I’m not against your leaving. I’m behind you a hundred percent.
But please, do that after the wedding. For my sake and the baby’s”
Nora pouted.
“No problem dear friend, I’ll stay till your wedding is over. And when you put to bed, I won’t hesitate to come visit immediately.
I can’t wait for the arrival of the baby.
But for now, let’s talk about how to get out from this place. David still thinks after the previous incident, I’ll still try to hurt his girlfriend. Little does he know It made me learn my lesson in a hard way.

“I’ll talk to him and if he doesn’t listen, I’ll put a call across a lawyer. I bet this lawyer will help you out of this. But it’ll cost you much”
“Forget the money, my freedom is all that matters.”
“Alright then, you can leave the rest for me”
Nora assured.
“Thanks allot dear friend. So how’s the baby bump? I heard baby bumps are cute. How true is that?” Alicia asked. Changing the topic.
“Dwmn cute Alicia you won’t believe I can even feel it’s tiny heartbeat. Especially when I place my hand on my stomach”
“Huh? How is that possible?”
“Very possible. It’s just so exciting. You’ll learn to understand all these when you get pregnant too. And that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Nora winked.
“If you say so miss preggie” Alicia drawled out with an eye roll.

“You can’t continue this way, don’t starve yourself. Try to eat something please” Mike pleaded with Rosiana who sat numbly on the bed. Her Food remained untouched
“You said you were leaving town. What Happened?” After a while, she finally said something.
Mike who stood at the door with his two hands shuffled into his pockets twitched
“Well I was gonna leave town like I said before, I got a transfer letter.
I was prepared for a change of new location but I just couldn’t help myself. I couldn’t do it. It seemed like the hardest decision to make at the moment”
“Then why kidnap me?” Rosiana asked with a teary eye. “Why punish my mom?”
“You don’t understand do you? I just couldn’t let go. I have feelings for you Ana. I love you. And I couldn’t just leave
It didn’t feel any right.
All I wanted was to be with you. And seeing you with David, it shattered Me to pieces”.
“Me and David, you knew”
“Yes I knew. I’ve always known. I’ve watched your movement even when you go outings with him. My eyes have been everywhere.
Did you bother to know how I found out about your mom and the hospital she’s receiving treatment?”
Mike paused, walking closer towards the bed
“Guess you didn’t. I got to know the day I followed you guys there. But you two love birds didn’t even notice did you? .
That day, I watched him treat you to lunch and take you shopping… Before driving down to the hospital.
I was there, all along and that’s how your mom came into the picture”
“Pervert! Now you use my mom as a pawn huh?” Rosiana said through gritted teeth. Getting up from the bed
” You are so sick you b@stard!!!! Why can’t you just let me be?
I told you I’m already inlove with the man of my dreams. I’m so happy inlove with David. Isn’t that enough for you?
What’s so hard to understand? Do you think bringing me here will make me fall for you?
If that’s your actual plan, sorry to disappoint you lover boy, it’ll only make me hate you more! Cause in my entire life I will NEVER fall in love with a douchebag like you. So you can die trying…..
“SHUT UP!!!” He angrily raised his hand in the air almost hitting her. Rosiana zipped up immediately in fear.
Slowly, Mike withdrew his hand from the air and fisted it to a ball.
“You…. Will love me. Just like I’ve always loved you”
With that, he turned to leave.
Almost getting to the door, he heard a loud sound behind him.
He quickly turned back to see Ana on the floor.
“Rosiana” he ran towards her in panic.
She just collapsed.

“Here, drink this, you’ll be fine”
He handed a small glassy cup with some liquid content in it to her.
Rosiana stared shortly at the drink and then to him.
” Take it please, it’ll help clear your head. Its for painkillers” he said in guilt.
He feels so bad for raising his voice on her. Guess that’s what led to what Happened.
Reluctantly, she took it from him.
After she passed out, Mike quickly made a tea with some herbs for her. He placed her on the bed while he waited for her to wake.
Now she’s awake, he feels he’s the cause of what just happened.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have raised my voice on you. It won’t happen again I promise”
Rosiana who took a small sip on the tea nodded curtly to his word.
“How are you feeling now?” He asked.
” Tired ”
“Alright. The tea will help with it. I’ll make sure I find something to ease you with. Take your time and rest.. and if you later have a change of mind with the food, it’s right there. ”
He pointed to a small table beside the bed before walking out.
Ana dropped the cup of tea on the small table and covered herself with the duvet as she laid back on the bed.
“David, where are you?”
