BROWN SKIN GIRL: Chapter 1 to 10

?Brown skin girl?

?Chapter seven?

The office was very quiet. With the two of them on different sides taking turns in glaring at each other. Trisha couldn’t take the boredom any longer.

She needed to talk to someone even if it meant exchanging words.
She faced him. “I can’t believe you’re such a wimp!” She shouted
“I’m not talking to you!” He said dropping his legs on Mrs Hanns desk and relaxing back on the chair.

“I beat you up and what’s the next thing you do? You run back home to mummy, crying like a big girl”. She said mockingly
Ryan faced her, easing his relaxation. “Shut up! You didn’t beat me! And I have no hand in the whole stuff reaching the ears of my parents!” He defended honestly
Trisha rolled her eyes, scoffing loudly. “Yeah, you’re right! I was the one who reported to your daddy”. She said, changing her voice.
Ryan relaxed back. “I owe you no explanation” He finalized and closed his eyes.

Trisha stood from the chair and began to pace. She was just too restless. Dragging her feet heavily on the floor, murmuring and cursing. The detention was getting on her nerves and she really needed to ease off her impatience.

“Hey! Keep it down, will you? I’m trying to enjoy my sleep!” Ryan yelled looking at her
“Well, I’m trying to get comfortable staying in this detention that is all your fault because you were so much of a jerk that you couldn’t mind your damn business yesterday and you just needed to look for people’s trouble every where because you think you are a god that nobody can talk to or challenge. Not even the president’s son acts this way! Fool!” Trisha fired breathlessly and paused as she heard Ryan snoring loudly. She glared ice daggers at him. He opened an eye and looked at her. He faked a yawn
“Oh, what a lullaby! Take it over again” he said mockingly
“Urrrrgh!” Trisha exclaimed in annoyance and she heard Becky laugh.

“Wow, I like this kid! He’s really helping me to get on your nerve.” Becky said. Trisha’s face went red in anger.

She opened her bag and brought out her phone. She put it on her ear like she was making a call.
“Fk you, Becky!”She shouted, making Ryan to look at her like she was stupid.
She made a gesture to her phone, rolling her eyes at him and continued her pretence.
“Trisha, what is wrong with you, don’t you see he’ll suspect something?” Becky complained
“It’s none of your business! I’m not as stupid as you are!” She replied
“Believe me,.. You’re dead!” Becky said threat fully. Trisha scoffed
“Yeah, you know I’m helping you, right? So anything you do to annoy me, I’ll leave you to yourself” Trisha reminded bossily.

“So… Am I supposed to beg you now?” Becky asked rhetorically.
“I don’t…”
Their heads snapped to the door as it unlocked and flung open.
The janitor walked in with two mugs of coffee. They stared at her in confusion as she dropped the mugs on the table. One was blue and the other a pink mug.
“Coffee?” Ryan asked unbelievably
“Yes, coffee, from Mrs Hanns… Take your stinky feet off my bosses’s table!” He ordered and he obeyed
“Since when does coffee get served in detention?” Trisha asked in hilary.

“Since the Prime minister’s kid started attending this school school!” The janitor replied
“That’s weird!” Becky said
“Yes, it is” Trisha replied mindlessly. They looked at her
“… Em… Yes… It is as you say, Mr… Sir.” She covered.
The janitor ignored her comment
“She has a thing with colors. Blue is for guys and Pink for ladies. So, When you’re ready to have your drinks, Ryan takes the blue mug and Trisha, you take the pink mug.” She said
“Psst… I hate pink! I’ll prefer the blue mug…” Trisha said casually
“The blue mug…” The janitor snapped making Trisha and Ryan jerk in surprise “…For Ryan!” He completed in gritted teeth.
Trisha rose her hands in surrender

“Ok, ok! Pink is my favorite color” She said immediately.
The janitor smiled at her before leaving the office and locking the door again.
“That was awkward!” Ryan admitted. Trisha shrugged.
Ryan took his own cup of coffee
“Trisha! That drink is poisoned!” Becky announced. Trisha eyes widened as Ryan made to take a sip.

She took a book from the shelve behind her and quickly threw it towards him, targeting the mug.
Just as the liquid was about to escape into his mouth, the book hit it away, spilling some on his shirt and sending the rest splashing on the ground as the mug shattered.

Trisha let out a sigh of relief and Ryan yelped in surprise. His head snapped to her direction and she stood straight

“Oops!” She exclaimed simply.
He frowned and stood abruptly “Oops? Oops? You spilled my coffee on me and the best you can say is oops?” He yelled
Trisha rolled her eyes. If only he knew she just saved his life. Of course it was poison or something! If not, why was the janitor so obsessed with the color he should have. Who would want to poison Ryan? She frowned

“Why are you not saying anything?” Ryan asked angrily breaking into her thoughts
“Oh… I remember the time you had to bath me with milk on my first day of school!” Trisha answered in defense.
Ryan’s lips formed a thin line.
“So, you wanted to get back at me by pouring me hot coffee and wasting such coffee?” He demanded

“No. This was actually a mistake! I’ll still figure out a payback plan” She answered carelessly. “And, you don’t have to mourn over wasted coffee. You see coffee everyday at home. You can have mine anyway, I don’t take coffee.” She offered friendly
Ryan glared at her “I don’t need your stupid coffee!” He yelled and turned away from her. He began to unbutton his shirt.

She looked away and concentrated on her phone. He was such a fool. The typical example of people that should be dead. She thought
Ryan began to curse when he saw the ruin on his shirt clearly.
“Hey, just spread it! It’ll dry up before detention is over.” She said suggestingly, willing her eyes to stay fixed on his face.

“I know what to do! I wasn’t planning on giving you the shirt so you could go home with it and never stop smelling it!” Ryan remarked with an aim to annoy.

Trisha desperately ignored the fact that her mind admitted that he had an attractive body more than she ignored his comment. She kept on with her phone.

Ryan frowned at her reaction but said nothing.
Trisha came to figure out how serious the whole thing was. If Ryan had been in another room, he would have fallen victim of the poison. As foolish as he was… And died! Her eyes widened, now she came to think of it, it sounded more serious.
So if the drink was poison, which meant that the janitor had something to do with the plot against the prime minister’s family.

She looked up at Ryan. Although he was such a jerk, he didnt deserve to die for a reason that wasn’t worth it. Even if he was going to die, her killing him was way better.
Ryan looked up and met her eye. She didn’t look away. His nose scrunched up in disgust
“What?!” He snapped “Never seen a body?”

Trisha glared at him
“Whoah Trisha, its okay! You can take me off now so this could be a private moment!” Becky teased
Trisha’s glare deepened. She dragged the glasses off and turned away from him she removed the piece from her ear and stuffed the items in her bag.

She wasn’t at all interested in his body! She wasn’t like other girls at all. She was going to ignore all his advances.

Back to the matter… A bulb lit in her head. Great! She could join the dance team. And then, she’ll be part of the team… They’ll sit at the same table. It was actually the best idea so far
She looked back at Ryan
“Hey” she started
He frowned
“Are you going to stop your stupid arrogance now? I already know you have a huge crush on me!” She stated. Where did that come from?
His eyes widened and then he laughed
“Me? You? Stop dreaming Trisha. You’re not my type of girl! I don’t go for brown skins” He said
Trisha rolled her eyes.

“Whatever you say. The dance team! Do you guys welcome new members?” She asked waving the topic aside
“It depends!” Ryan said arrogantly
“On what?” She asked
“Why do you care?” He retorted crossing his arms
“Because I want to be.. A part of the team!” She replied
Ryan scoffed. “Dance team is not for petty dancers, the cheerleaders may accept you! We just accept people ‘good enough’ and we are just three because we found no one worthy” Ryan mocked stressing the last part

“You’ve not seen me dance before, mister! And by the way,.. Both you and your friends, none of you dances better than me!” She boasted
Ryan looked taken aback for a moment. He walked towards her slowly and placed his hands on her shoulders.

He looked serious, like he was sympatizing with her. Trisha frowned at the reaction.
Still in that position, Ryan laughed in her face!, slowly backing out. It was so funny to him that he had to support himself from falling with the table. Trisha stood hands akimbo, waiting for him to be through with his drama.

He cleared his throat
“I’m sarry, I’m sarry… Didn’t mean to laugh but I had to!” He bursted into another round of laughter.
“Don’t you audition people on Fridays? I’ll be in the audition!” She said. She was very angry but didnt want him to see that his reactions got to her.

“Ok! Ok! Ok! Ok!… That’s ok! Absolutely ok! Tremendously ok! Its ok ok!” He blabbed. She rolled her eyes and brought her headphones out of her bag so she could leave him alone in the room of detention while she traveled to the world if music.
She just kept reminding herself that the fool didn’t understand that she was trying to help him and she was also helping herself.

She was an acting secret agent! She wasn’t going to let the arrogance of some kid let her back out.
