BROWN SKIN GIRL: Chapter 1 to The End

?Brown skin girl?

?Chapter twelve?

????????????

Trisha was not herself at all in school that day. She couldn’t help but think about what had transpired between her Dad and Becky. It was so sad that she turned out being the orchestrator of the damn scene.
Where was Becky now? Was she ok? Did she have emotional breakdown? She realized that Becky had disconnected the goggles and Bluetooth she gave her. It made her feel worse. If only she had..

“Miss Robbins?” Mrs Nick, their biology called. Bringing Trisha out of her thoughts into reality. Her head jerked up as she realized that everybody’s eyes were on her and she remembered that she was in her biology class.
“Em.. Yes? Mrs Nick?” She stuttered.
“Do well to answer my question.” Mrs Nick ordered strictly.
Trisha stood up slowly, looking at everyone’s faces like the answers were there. Or even the questions.
“Errr..” She muttered, scratching her nape.

“Sit down!” Mrs Nick yelled in Trisha’s face causing her to lean backward. “I don’t care if you understand or not! In short. Get a sheet of paper, class! We are going to write a test! And that test will cover 60% of you assessment.” She shouted, not tearing her glare of Trisha.
The students groaned.
Trisha didn’t even seem moved. She did care about the test, but not as much as her current situation.

She sat down and Mrs Nick proceeded in writing the test on the board.
Trisha sighed and crossed her arms. Getting ready for whatever the test would be. Some one dropped a paper on her desk. She looked back and he did like he had no Idea.
He sat behind her in that class. So it was going to be easy for him to help her in the test.

She opened the paps and in Ryan’s weird looking hand writing, he wrote… ‘I got ya back. I’m at ya back.’
She smiled slightly but did not look back at him. She looked to her left, Kyle gave her an assuring smile. She looked to her right, Jack winked at her.
Yup! There was no way she would fail this test.

“A D??!” Trisha exclaimed unbelievably, outside the biology class. “How come?”
“Sorry, Trisha. Jack actually got an F.” Kyle apologized.
“I would have helped but you know how Mrs Nick kept an eye on you all the while for the fact that you’re the reason she called for the test.” Ryan said in a mumble.
Trisha sighed.
“Well, I got an F, I’m not worried. Nobody got passed a C in class. I’m sure Mrs Nick would cancel it because of the much fails.” Jack said
“Jack, you’re never worried! Especially not about a test.” Trisha said with a sigh.
“Don’t worry. Just get your mind off it.” Ryan said.
Trisha looked up to his face and nodded slightly as a soft blush colored her cheek.

Something caught her sight. She looked past him with furrowed brows. The janitor was standing few feets away, looking around to see if coast was clear.
Trisha gulped. She remembered the conversation she had eavesdropped on between the janitor and some others.
What the heck was he up to now.
She watched him scan the area, all the while using the mop bucket as a cover.
He left the mop handle and reached for the pocket of his jacket.
A low gasp escaped her lips.
He turned to their direction and met her gaze with a subtle glare.
She looked away Immediately.
The janitor snarled and held the mop again, disappearing in a corner.

Trisha spared a glance at the spot he stood and let out a breath of relief.
“Trisha?” Kyle called.
Her face jerked up to his.
“Huh?” She answered
“Are you alright?” Kyle asked and she noticed the worried expression on their faces.
She faked a smile.
“I’m ok!… Don’t you guys think we’ve stayed here for too long? Nobody’s here, they’ve all gone for lunch, we better go too.” She said a little quicker than normal, leading the way towards the stairs.
The boys gave themselves confused looks and followed her.

She looked into the corner the janitor had disappeared into. It was clear, except for the mop bucket. She moved on. She lingered a moment. She contemplated going in.
Are you crazy? The voice in her head sounded like Becky’s.
That guy could kill her, not minding anything. She definitely was not ready to die.

“Trisha?” Ryan called.
She looked up at him. “Huh.”
He furrowed his brows and looked into the alley she had been staring at. Kyle and Jack had already passed on.
“Are you alright.?” He asked.
She nodded quickly, darting her eyes to the floor and fiddling with her fingers.
Although it was days ago since he kissed her and they had agreed to forget about it, she still couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable when they were alone and she couldn’t explain why.

He too had changed since then, she noticed. He no longer behaved arrogantly towards her or argued on stupid things with her or even remarked ridiculous comments. She missed that Ryan. Kind of. He would remain so stupid for kissing her and changing things. She mentally rolled her eyes.

Ryan rubbed the nape of his neck slightly.
“Err… Let’s go back to the…”
Yes boss. Trisha’s ears perked up. It was the janitor’s voice. It sounded like he was in the first room in the corridor. She furrowed her brows and looked at Ryan.
“…and Jack must be wondering what’s keeping us.. Whoah.” He yelped as Trisha grabbed his arm and began to push him towards the stairs.
“Em.. I’ll meet you guys there ok, right now, I have to see Mrs Nick.” She lied hurriedly.
Ryan furrowed his brows in confusion.
“She’s not in.” He reminded as she dragged him to the stairs.
“Yeah right.! I reeeally gotta admire her new markers. They are really lovely.” She said stupidly and hurried back.
New markers?? Ryan shrugged and climbed down the stairs.
Trisha tiptoed back to the corridor and rounded the corner.

Eavesdropping! She just loved eavesdropping!
She heard a low laugh and leaned by the wall to give her hearing a better angle.
“Its in progress… The stupid talent hunt is the night after tomorrow’s…. Yes. Yes. We know the plan… He won’t be able to escape there…. We’ll just drop the body in atlantic ocean. Hahaha… And the story goes viral. Kid gone missing… ”
Trisha was not enjoying this at all. No full details of the plan. Just bits and cuts.
She was really curious as to when and how the target was coming.

She was at least sure that they’ll try something during the talent hunt.
Drop the body in Atlantic ocean? Was that even a thing? Kid gone missing. He won’t be able to escape.
She mentally groaned. The pieces weren’t even clues as to what the plan may be. She’ll have to see Becky that day. Well, she had gotten some data, it was time to get outta there before the janitor caught her.
She turned to leave. She gasped in shock and her eyes widened quite an angle.

The janitor stood in front of her with a wicked grin on his ugly face.
How did he get there? She asked herself and took a huge step back, clips of the former conversation she had heard ringing in her head. She gulped.
“Well, well, well! I knew there was a naughty fellow who wanted to make trouble.” He said in a low yet dreadful tone. He began to move towards her.

She felt her heart pounding harder than normal. Her palms were sweating.
She kept moving back trying to keep a safe distance.
What to do? She tried to formulate a plan in her head.

Would screaming do her any good? All the students were down in the lunch hall. Mrs Nick went to see Mrs Hanns. Every other room in that part of the school was abandoned and not occupied.
“…what are you even doing anyway? Couldn’t mind your business?” He snarled. Spreading his arms so she won’t escape him.

Trisha felt a huge lump in her throat as she could read the threat on his face.
Dmn Trisha! Why didn’t you just go to lunch.
Her foot hit something almost making her to stumble. She looked down. It was the mob bucket. With water and foaming lather in it. The mob was resting uselessly against the bucket.

A bulb lit in her head.
“…You brought this on yourself. She got me real mad. With what you heard… I’m on fire.” He said.
She looked up at him.
“Well… You need to be quenched!” She shouted, carrying the bucket of soapy water. She immediately poured it on his face.

“Arrrgh!” He exclaimed feeling the lather escape into his eyes. He staggered backwards in annoyance. He groaned angrily and began to clean his face with his palms.
Trisha took the mob and ran towards him. She kicked him into the empty room he was in, ignoring his curses and slammed the door. She used the mobstick to blot the handle so he couldn’t open it till she was a safe distance away.

She made a run for it. When she conered to the main hall, she saw an open door, and she could hear his painful grunts from within.
Oh… So that’s where he came out from. She observed.
She hurriedly shut that one close too and looked around for what to blot it with like she did with the other door.

She bit her lower lip in disappointment when she couldn’t find anything.
She left it that way and ran away.
Kyle, Jack and Ryan sat at their usual lunch spot, squandering their food.
“… You could take her to see a movie on saturday.” Kyle said suggestively, with his mouth full.

Ryan squeezed his fingers nervously.
“How am I going to do that?” He asked stupidly.
Kyle and Jack looked at him like he lost his senses.
“I know! You could take her to bed and when you’re done fucking her, you ask her to the movies.” Jack said sarcastically and He laughed along with Kyle.
Ryan rolled his eyes.
“Very funny, guys.”
“Very stupid, Ryan.” Kyle said.
“You guys are supposed to help me out here!” Ryan said frustrated.

“What are we supposed to do if not give you advice! We’ll help you shop for the best suit but we won’t walk her to the altar.” Jack replied mindlessly.
Ryan’s mind brought him a mental picture of himself on the altar, dressed in suit, with a neat haircut and a wide smile. Watching her in her awesomely pretty, flowing wedding gown, walking slowly up to the altar.

The veil covering her face was light enough for him to see her beautiful face and splendid smile. Her steps were gracious and her dress gave her a perfect fitting.
Her dad was beside her, her arm locked in his. Walking her towards him. Towards him! Towards him!!!

She got to him and her dad released her to him. She gave him a heart melting smile and he smiled back.
She stood opposite him as the priest started reading the matrimony.
He wasn’t really listening, only looking into her eyes through the veil. He noticed the blush on her cheeks and it was cute.

“…I join you man and wife.” He heard the priest say and the cheers erupted from the church. He looked at the crowd. He saw his parents, her parents, and the students and teachers of Botley high.
“…You may kiss the bride.”
He looked back at Trisha and went closer to her. Excitement was shooting at his veins. He unveiled her face romantically and she battered her lashes at him.

She threw her hands around his neck, her flower softly brushing the nape of his neck.
He leaned down to close the space between their lips.
“Ryan?” He heard her soft voice call him.
He opened his eyes slowly.
“Yes my love?” He muttered.
“Ryan?”
He frowned. Her voice hand changed. It sounded more like Kyle’s… His frown deepened as he searched her eyes.
Somehow, her face too began to change and soon he recognized the face.
He furrowed his brows in confusion.
Jack? What was Jack doing with him on his wedding day?
He felt a hard smack across his face and it sent his face to the side.
“Urrgh!” He groaned and his face snapped back to see what produced the slap.

He was back in the lunch hall, sitting with his friends.
He gave them angry glares. “What was that for?” He whined
“Wanted to welcome you back to life.” Kyle said with a brow raised.
Ryan felt his cheeks heat up up to the tip of his ears
“.. And did you just call me your love?” Jack asked, a teasing smile tugging at the sides of his lips.

Ryan gave him a stern glare.
“Arrrrrgh! Shut up, will you!” He yelled cursing the blush that crept up to his face.
“And who were you trying to kiss? Eh.” Kyle teased, elbowing Ryan in the side.
Ryan slammed his hands on the table.
“I’m going to…err.. I need to use the bathroom.!” He said and stood.
“Yeah, go ahead. Ease it off, bro.” Jack said
Ryan rose a middle finger at him and hurriedly left the table. Not minding their laughs and stupid comments.
What the fuck did she do the him? The normal him doesn’t hallucinate or exaggerate! The normal him doesn’t feel shy! The normal him would want to play her!

He had met a whole bunch of other girls before but none of them made him fell the way he did. It was certainly not good.
He made his way to the basketball court and to the locker room. When he opened the door, the noise in the room escaped to the corridor.
“He..hey… If it isn’t the world’s greatest captain!” Roy praised as he sighted Ryan come in.
There were about 10 boys in the locker room, changing into their uniforms.

Ryan rose his brows
“Is there practice? How come don’t I know?” Ryan asked
“Well, Coach told us… Those that needed to work on their arm power.” Cal answered dapping his body with a towel.
Ryan nodded slightly and went past them all to use the bathroom.
They continued their discussion… About girls.
Trisha ran into the lunch hall and spared a glance behind her. She breathed in and out to maintain her cool before walking majestically into the hall, making her way to their normal lunch spot.
Her heart skipped a beat when she saw just Kyle and Jack sitting at the table. She quickened her pace.
What if he never got to the lunch hall?

What if he was stopped on the way? And killed?
She gasped as her legs decided it would be quicker to run.
She got to the table.
“Oh hi, Trisha… We got you lunch.” Kyle said and frowned. “But unfortunately, Jack has half of it stored in him.”
Jack burped as if to confirm Kyle’s theory.
That was the least of Trisha’s problems right then.
“Where’s Ryan?” She asked catching her breath.
“Oh, he went to the bathroom to… Ease off. You understand?” Jack said raising his brows and dropping them. “A guy needs that.” He added
Trisha’s eyes widened in realization.

“Eww!” She exclaimed giving him a disgusted look.
“Don’t listen to him. He’s a fool. Ryan went to the bathroom, he was pressed.
Trisha let out a sigh of relief… But she was not yet relieved.
That janitor guy would be over the edge for what she did to him and If he saw Ryan then… It won’t end well.
She felt her heart hammer in her chest.
A voice told her not to go in search of Ryan.
What if the janitor catches her?

Another voice told her that she needed to find Ryan.
What if the Janitor finds him?
She gulped.
She decided.
“I’ll be right back.” She announced to the guys and ran off.
They exchanged confused glances. Jack shrugged and took Trisha’s tray of food.
“Ah well… More for me.”

Trisha got to the males restrooms and barged in without thinking twice.
It was empty. She couldn’t hear any noise from any of the toilets
Oh no! They’ve got him. She thought in fear.
She rushed out, her eyes darting towards every corner.

She felt the fear bubbling up in the pit of her belly.
All of a sudden, it subsided as a thought reached her mind.
Oh, right. Ryan uses the restroom the the basketball locker room.
She made her way to the basketball court.
