BROWN SKIN GIRL: Chapter 1 to The End

?Brown skin girl?

?Chapter nineteen?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Trisha’s heart screamed as her legs flung around from the height.
Damn! What was she thinking!
She held the landing shear tightly willing her eyes not to look down.
What if she falls? What if she slips? She gulped.
She had to get into the helicopter. For Ryan! She would give her all to make sure Ryan was safe.

She felt nauseous. Her face turned green. On a different circumstance, this would have been fun. But… This was a matter of life and death.

The stuff in the dart that was shot at him was beginning to wear off, and his hand twitched.
“He’s waking!” A lady announced.
The janitor went towards Ryan and studied him.
“Where are the cuffs?” The janitor asked and the lady gave him a two handcuffs.
The janitor took the handcuffs from her and roughly adjusted Ryan on his seat, clamping his hands to the chair with the cuffs. He put the key in his belt.

“We’ll see what he’ll be able to do when he wakes up.” The janitor said and went back to the front. The lady followed him and they stayed in the front, discussing.
Ryan willed his closed eyes to open but it was slowly wearing off.

With her heart in her throat, Trisha poked her head into the helicopter.
The three people in it were distracted. She surveyed the space and sighted Ryan, looking like he was sleeping.
She quietly climbed into the helicopter. She was grateful it was dark, if not, she was sure that the lady would have seen her as she ran behind Ryan’s chair.

She looked at Ryan and noticed his furrowed brows.
“Ryan?” She whispered and his eyes flew open immediately.
Ryan felt his body come back to normal at such speed. He looked toward the direction of the sound of his name and his eyes widened to see Trisha.
He opened his mouth to say something but she clamped a hand over his mouth, placing a finger on her lips and pointing at the bad guys.
He nodded in understanding and she released his mouth.
“How do we get out of here?” He whispered.
It rang a bell in Trisha’s head. What was the plan? She didnt even think of it.
She looked at his encaged hands and pointed to it.
“Keys?” She asked.
Ryan looked ahead of him at the three figures. He shrugged.
“What do we do?” Trisha asked in a whisper.
Ryan thought for a moment
“Hide.” He said.
Trisha furrowed her brows, looking around for any possible hiding place.
“Hide? Where?” She asked.
“Just hide behind my chair. Its dark they won’t see you.” He suggested.
She did so, waiting for Ryan to perform his plan.
Ryan studied the people in the front. It was dark and the illumination in the space was poor.

He coughed loudly to attract attention.
The lady turned towards him and looked back to the two guys.
“He’s awake.” She announced.
“Yeah, he should be.” The janitor said grumpily.
Ryan’s eyes widened at the sound of his voice. The janitor?
When he lost their attention, he coughed again.
“Can I get some water?” He asked loud enough, his voice struggling to get to them against the wind.
The janitor groaned and climbed to the back to stand in front of Ryan.
“Now does this look like your comfort zone at home boy?” He snarled.

The lady laughed. “Don’t worry, you’ll drink all the water you can once you land in the water.” She said and cackled loudly along with the janitor.
“What is this all about?” Ryan asked, glaring at the janitor.
“Don’t you think we should kill him before dropping him? He may know how to swim you know.” The janitor asked, totally ignoring Ryan’s question.
Casie eyed Ryan for a while, considering the probability.
“Good idea.” She said, bringing out a pistol.
“What’s going on over there guys?” Gus asked from the pilot’s seat.
“We want to shoot him.” Mac replied.

The helicopter swayed to the side and they had to look for something to hold.
Trisha glided to the side, yelping as she did, attracting their attention to her.
“Don’t kill us, Gus…” Casie stopped as she heard Trisha’s yelp.
“Did you hear that?” She asked Mac.
“Can you see that?” Mac answered pointing directly at Trisha.
Trisha gulped. Oops!
Her heart began to hammer.
“Look who came to visit.” Mac commented with a wicked smirk.
Casie smiled. “Such bravery… For her love. Young love.” She said and rolled her eyes. “It will end in tears.” She laughed wickedly.
“So, they’ll drown together, ay” Gus contributed from the front seat.

“How did you even get away? I thought we got rid of you? I thought you’ve already frozen.” Mac said feigning concern.
“Its not that easy to get rid of me!” Trisha said and quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher by the side and threw it at Mac. It hit him squarely in the head and he staggered back wards, groaning in pain.
Casie frowned and made to shoot at Trisha.

With a swift raise of his leg, Ryan kicked the gun out of her hand and it fell off the helicopter.
“Next fall… Will be yours!” Mac said and took a knife from his belt, the key falling off in the process.
Trisha eye widened as the key swayed to the side and stopped few inches away from the entrance.
“What’s going on back there?” Gus asked curiously.
“Mind your flight, Gus!” Casie ordered.

Becky got into her car.
“Royce! Dew east! Against speed limit.” She ordered.
The vehicle sped off into the road.
Becky’s eyes was red with anger and panic. She kept her eyes on the sky not even on the road. She was almost losing the helicopter and she didn’t plan to.

The screen in front of her car came on and Mr Green was in it.
“Where are they?” She yelled.
“Calm agent Becky… They’re on their way. Where are you headed?”
“East wind. Lake town!” She replied not taking her eyes off the sky.
“Don’t let them get away!” She heard Anna’s voice in the screen.
She grimaced.
“I don’t care about them! My daughter’s in there!” She yelled angrily.
“How? Did they get her too?” Anna asked curiously.
“Arrrgh! Get off my screen you mother fucker!” She screamed.
“Calm down, Agent Becky!.” Mr Green said.
“Don’t tell me that, Mr Green! You’re not helping, just cut!” She ordered and soon the screen went blank.
“Thank you! I need to concentrate!” She yelled to nobody in particular.

Trisha crawled to get the key but Casie stepped on her hand, causing her to scream in pain.
Ryan glared at her angrily and stood up with the chair. He turned around, using the legs of the chair to hit Casie off Trisha.
Cause fell to the front with a bleeding nose.
Trisha grabbed the key and hurriedly unlocked the cuffs on Ryan’s hand, ignoring the sour on her hand.
Mac stood, regaining himself. He caught the sight of Trisha trying to release Ryan’s hand.
“Nyaaaaaaaaarrrrrgggghhh!” He announced his coming with a scream.
Trisha dung her hand into her jacket and brought out the pen Becky gave to her and pressed it twice.

The dart hit Mac on his arm
“Oh really?” Mac mocked and continued coming to get them.
Trisha frowned. Wasn’t the dart supposed to destabilize him?
Mac stopped abruptly and his eyes began to twitch abnormal. He began to sway and talk gibberish. With miscalculated steps, he swayed towards the helicopter’s entrance and stood there, few inches away from a fall. He tried to clear his vision and get a hang of his body.
Trisha and Ryan exchanged knowing glances. Ryan smirked wickedly.
“The next fall… Will be yours!” He mimicked, poking Mac with a finger.
Mac’s eyes widened as he felt himself fall off the helicopter.

Becky’s brows furrowed as she saw a body fall off the helicopter.
She looked ahead of her to find a trampoline, at the aid of the body.
They are here. She breathed out a sigh of relief.
The janitor landed on the trampoline and bounced a number of times before he came to a dizzy stop.
“You are under arrest!” Someone announced as a group of flashlights landed on the janitor along with some guns.
Mac felt stupid and dizzy.
“I love chocolates.” He mumbled

??????????????

Trisha stopped herself from laughing as the sound of Mac’s falling scream resounded in the helicopter.
Casie glared at the two figures and got up. She rushed towards Ryan and pushed him off the helicopter.
“No!” Trisha screamed and Casie laughed.

“You think you can save him?” She said wickedly.
Trisha was dumbfounded, more than anything, she wanted to get to the door and see if Ryan really fell, or if he was ok. She just kept staring at the point he was standing.
“Let’s end this! Here and now! Me and you! He’s gone now!” Casie said evily, getting her fist ready for a fight.
Trisha’s brows furrowed in annoyance. Was she trying to mock her? She didnt know hand combat! Becky never taught her.
Whatever. How hard could it be? This lady in front of her seemed weak. She could take her down.

She took up an awkward fighting stance.
“Bring it!” She dared, feeling so strong.
Casie smirked and threw a punch at Trisha’s stomach.
Trisha groaned in pain and staggered backward. “Damn! Shit! Seriously, lady? I’m only 17! Don’t be too hard me!” She complained.

Casie frowned. “Listen, girl! I’m not here to train you. I’m here to fight you!”
“Isn’t that a shame to your ka-ra-te?” Trisha said mockingly.
“Shut up and fight me!” She yelled.
“I don’t know how to. This is what I’m good at.” Trisha said and grabbed the chair Ryan was chained to and threw it at her.
She barely dodged it.

“That is cowardly!” She said.
“I don’t care!” Trisha replied, taking the seat beside the other one and throwing it at her. She dodged still.
She grabbed a box that was stuck among others at the back of the helicopter and stoned it too.
It hit her stomach and Trisha smiled.
“Now we’re even.” She said.
Casie grimaced and took a gun from the front seat.
“This is not a child’s play, girl!” She said and pointed the gun at Trisha.

Trisha threw herself at her quickly, raising her hand. The bullet hit the helicopter and they both fell to the floor.
The helicopter swayed again and they swung off it.
No no no no no! Trisha’s mind screamed as she fell off the helicopter.

Not so soon! She thought and caught the landing shear to prevent herself from a no good fall.
She sighed. She sighted a figure gripping the other landing shear. She looked closely, it was Ryan.
She breathed a sigh of relief as he climbed back into the helicopter.

She saw Casie fall off too and she felt a weight on her legs.
She looked down, Casie was holding her.
The helicopter was losing balance due to their weight.
“Hold still!” Trisha called out to Casie who gave her a death glare in return.
“I don’t want to be safe! But you… You must go down with me!” She said madly and began to climb Trisha.
Trisha refused to let go of the shear. She kept wriggling to get Casie off her.

The evil cackles coming from Cause was enough to make her lose balance and fall.
She began to feel the rain’s drizzle turn into a heavy pour. She felt her eyes water as her hand began to weaken its grip on the shear.
She heard a scream and looked up to see Gus falling off… He was fat! Fat!.
He too honestly didnt want to die. He caught hold of Casie’s legs and the helicopter began to fly slantly.

He was chattering in fright.
Trisha felt her grip loosen more and more.
“I don’t wanna die! I’m too young! I’m not even married yet!” Gus cried. “Casie… No matter what happens, I want you to know that I always loved you.” He said in tears.
Casie rolled her eyes in annoyance.
“Fuck off, Gus! You say that all the time.” She said.
“Oh… Right! Arrrrrrrrrrgh!!!” He continued his scream.
Trisha’s knuckles turned white and her fingers weakened.
She couldn’t hold on any longer. The weight pulling her down was more than she could carry.

The rain was not helping matters at all.
Anyways. Ryan was safe! If she fell, she would be falling with the threats of Ryan’s life and he won’t have to live in fear.
I love you Ryan.
Her hand slipped and she let go of the shear..
Immediately, Casie left her triumphantly, falling along with Gus.
She felt a hand get a hold on her arm and her eyes shot up. She have never been happier.
“Ryan…” She said smiled joyfully as he pulled her into the helicopter.

She climbed in and crushed him with a breathtaking hug.
He returned it, feeling his head swell like a hero’s and his cheeks heat up.
“You took down the Gus on your own?” She asked unbelievably breaking the hug.
“Yeah… He was just a big puffed pillow.” He answered and Trisha laughed.
He smiled.
A red danger light started to shine periodically and the siren blew off in the helicopter, putting panic in the both of them.
“What’s going on?” Trisha asked.

“I don’t know.” Ryan answered equally confused and they rushed to the front.
“It was on auto drive, when Gus came to fight me.” Ryan said.
“Maybe it can’t stay on auto drive for too long.” Trisha replied “Can you drive?” She asked.
“Are you crazy? I can’t even ride a bike!” Ryan confessed.
“Great!” Trisha humphed.
They swayed forward as the helicopter began to fly downwards… Crash.

“Its about to crash!” Trisha said in fear.
“Don’t panic!” Ryan answered looking around. No parachute!
“How would there be no parachute on an aircraft?” He complained.
“This is not the time to compliment the craft, Ryan… What do we do?” Trisha cried.
Ryan looked at her, catching a glimpse of tear in her eye. He bit his lip.

“We have to jump out!” He said.
Trisha’s jaw dropped.
“Are you crazy? Do you have any idea how high we are off the ground?” She said in disbelief.
“We’ll wait at the entrance and jump when we’re near to land.” Ryan said going to look out of the Copter.
Trisha shook her head.
“No way… I’m scared of height!” She confessed.
Ryan furrowed his brows at her.
“How would I believe that?” He said.
“Cause I’m telling you.” She said.
“Do you have any other option.?” He asked impatiently.
“No! No! I don’t!” She said, letting out the tears of fear in her eyes. She grabbed her hair in her fingers.

“No no no! We are gonna die!” She screamed and wondered where that had come from.
Ryan walked up to her and griped her shoulders. He have her a hard shake.
“Snap out of it, Trisha!” He ordered. “We’re jumping out of here safely!” He assured.
He led her to the door of helicopter. She hadn’t stopped crying and when she saw the land beneath them, she felt swallowed. She held Ryan tightly

“Trisha! You came to save me! You’re too brave, too confident! You have what I wish I had!” He said into her ear, ignoring the rain that was beating around them.
“Two days ago… When I told you about that movie,.. And it looked like I was asking you out… I was! I denied it because I was proud but now I ask…

Will you go out with me to the movies tomorrow?” He said, looking her in the eye.
She looked up at him and nodded slowly.
“Yeah… But we will go as living beings, not with our spirits.” He said funnily and Trisha stopped herself from giggling.
“No matter what happens… I’m glad I shared such adventurous experience with you.” Ryan said.

Trisha smiled and nodded.
“Me too.” She said
He leaned down to kiss her but she stopped him.
“Em… That’s just gonna make it seem like we wont make it alive.” She said in a nervous giggle.
Ryan’s hand flew to massage his nape.
“Yeah… Right.” He said blushing.

They both turned towards their fate and watched the land come closer to them.
Trisha gulped.
This was it… Life and death! She chose life! She chose life! She chose life! She came to safe Ryan and she would live to enjoy him… A blush stained her cheeks. That came out wrong.
Ryan gave her hand a comforting squeeze.
“Ryan… I…”
“Shhhhhh…” He hushed. “We have a lot of time to talk… After this.” He said with a smirk.
“Great! I just wanted to remind you not to be stupid.” She said, rolling her eyes..
Ryan laughed.
“No time to laugh, let’s get ready to fly!” Trisha said, taking Ryan’s hand and concentrating on the journey below.
Ryan took a sensitive stance as the helicopter sped up towards the ground.
They exchanged glances and nodded.
“One…”
“Two…”
“Threeeeee….”
They jumped off the helicopter and almost immediately, the helicopter crashed few meters away from them.

They landed on the grass, not leaving each other’s hands.
Trisha was sure she springed her ankle by the throbbing pain she felt from it.
Ryan looked at her.
“You ok?” He asked.
She nodded quickly.
They looked at the helicopter… It was on fire… They were too close to it.
“Trisha… We have to get out of here!” Ryan said loudly with widened eyes, remembering the grenades he saw in boxes packed behind the helicopter.
He stood up quickly and helped Trisha up too.
“C’mon.” He said, helping her to run.
She tried her best to run in the same pace although she didn’t know why they were running.
The magnitude of the explosion behind them sent them flying forward and landing them roughly on the ground.
Ryan groaned, coughing loudly… His face covered with dirts.

He looked at the helicopter that was no longer in shape. Different pieces of it in different places, on fire.
He looked to his side at Trisha, who was lying down in obvious pain.

He crawled over to her.
“Tris?” He called, turning her to him.
Her eyes fluttered open and he laughed joyously.
“We… We made it.” He said
Trisha smiled weakly.
“We did.” She repeated.
