Chapter 53
Ryan sits very close to Leah, he was holding her hand with his left hand, and using the other hand to caress her forehead, which was already sealed with bandage.
“Who could have done this to you Leah”. Ryan muttered looking so sad as he looks at Leah who was still unconscious.
Clark and Cora immediately the ward, Ryan had informed them a while ago about what happened to Leah.
“How is she doing Ryan”. Cora asked looking so worried.
And Audrey enters the ward too.
“How is Leah Ryan”. She asked immediately she enters.
“According to the nurse, she said Leah is fine, am just waiting for her to wake up”. Ryan said sniffing back his tears.
“But what really happened to Leah, how come this happened to her Ryan, you both were together right”. Clark asked.
“Yes we were Clark, remember she got mad at me all of a sudden at the cafeteria”. Ryan asked.
The three of them looks at Ryan and nod their heads.
“But she became calm all of a sudden, and she was totally weak”.
“What are you trying to say Ryan”. Audery asked.
“According to Leah, she said something in her brain always triggers her to get angry, and she too was also confused on why she always get mad”. Ryan said with a confused face.
“Something… always triggers her brain to get angry….but how come, is that reason she here now, did she faint all of a sudden and hurt her head”. Cora asked.
“No Cora, someone drop a flower vase on her”.
“Someone drop a flower vase on Leah, how”. Clark asked.
“I could see her face, because she was wearing a big huge hoodie, and am sure she threw the flower vase on Leah on purpose, because she ran away immediately she did that”.
“Did you say a huge big hoodie”. Audery asked.
“Yes”. Ryan replies.
“What color was the hoodie”. She asked again.
Ryan looks at Audery, as his mind flashback to how he saw the girl running away.
“It was a Ash colored hoodie”. Ryan said.
“Ash coloured hoodie, that the same hoodie Cassie was putting when she was leaving the cafeteria right”. Audery asked looking at both Cora and Clark.
“Yes, I remember, she was putting on a huge big Ash hoodie”. Cora said.
“That true Cora”. Clark added.
And Ryan was just looking at them in confusion.
“Wait…what are you guys saying, how did Cassie become a part of our conversation”.
“Ryan you have to listen to me, and you need to believe everything I say to you”. Audery said, and Ryan Looks at her.
“Fine, what do you have to say, and why are you bringing Cassie in our conversation”.
“Ryan, I think Cassie is the girl who saw earlier, at the rooftop”.
“What!!!, That not true Audery, Cassie can never harm anyone”. Ryan said.
“And how sure are you Ryan,,,I Know you have known Cassie for years now, but that doesn’t mean you know the things she can and can’t do”. Audery said.
Ryan gulmps down nothing, and said.
“So what are you trying to say Audery, that Cassie was the one who purposely threw the flower vase on Leah!” Ryan half yells already getting annoyed.
“Is possible she is the one Ryan”.
“And why will she think of hurting Leah”.
“And you that clueless, you both have been friends for ages, do you possibly think she only sees you as a friend,,of course not Ryan, she has feelings for you, and that why she is getting back at Leah, since she is the reason you couldn’t love her”.
“Audery, Cassie might have been acting weird this past few weeks, she might be distancing herself from me, but that doesn’t mean she is capable of doing such things, the Cassie I know has nothing but a tender heart!!!”. Ryan yells.
And both Cora and Clark flinched in shocked.
“Am telling you Ryan, Cassie is the one behind what happened to Leah, she left the cafeteria immediately after you went after Leah, there is no way it could have being a coincident, and she is always going out at night tell me Ryan, why will she go out at night, if she is not planning anything against Leah and Cora”.
Ryan runs his hands through his hair and sighs.
“You know what Audery…just leave”.
“Ryan I..”
“Leave!!!!!”. Ryan yells in anger.
“Fine am leaving, but when you finally realized what am saying is true, maybe at time, your precious Leah will be dead”.
“What did you just say”. Ryan said going to where Audery was standing, but Clark was quick to hold him back.
“Don’t Ryan”. Clark said.
“Then tell her to get out of my sight, before I do something terrible to her”. Ryan said trying to control his anger.
“Audery can you please leave, Ryan isn’t himself when he is angry”. Cora said.
“Fine am leaving”. Audery said and leaves angrily.
Ryan sighs and sits back in the chair, he held Leah’s hand and continues to look at Leah, and his eyes were already getting wet with tears.
“Ryan……”
“I Want to be alone Clark, can you please do me a favor, by leaving with your girlfriend”.
“Fine Ryan,,let go Cora”.
Cora looks at Leah.
“But Clark, I want to be with Leah”.
“Ryan can take care of her, let just leave them alone okay”.
Cora nods her head, and both she and Clark leaves the ward.
*Cassie is the one behind what happened to Leah*. Audery’s voice enhoes in his hear.
“That not true, the Cassie I know isn’t capable of harming anyone, she doesn’t have the heart to do that, she isn’t capable of doing such”. Ryan said trying to convince himself that all what Audery said wasn’t true.

“You should go in now Cora”. Clark said to Cora when they both got to the girl’s dormentory.
“Clark”.
“Yes Cora”.
“What if Audery is really saying the truth”.
“About Cassie being responsible for what happened to Leah”.
“Yes Clark, she left immediately after Leah and Ryan left the cafeteria, is impossible is a coincidence, am sure she is the one who was at the rooftop”.
“But what if she isn’t the one Cora, I know Cassie Cora, she is just a quiet girl, she is not capable of hurting others, just like Ryan has said earlier, Cassie has a tender heart”.
“Then who else could have done that to Leah Clark, why are you even supporting that Cassie, knowing fully well, that my life is also in danger too!!”. She yells.
“Cora, am just making sure we aren’t putting the blame on the wrong person, maybe is someone else”.
“Really someone else!!!!!, okay tell me Mr know it all, who could that someone be!!”. she yells at him.
Clark sighs and said.
“Cora, can you please don’t overreact over this”.
“And tell me Clark, why shouldn’t I overreact, I and Leah’s lives are in danger, but you are that Ryan keeps defending that Cassie, knowing fully well, she is the only one capable of hurting I and Leah!!!”. Cora yells angrily.
“Cora, what going on with you, why are you so angry about this issue, we are trying to be conscious okay”.
“Fine,,,you and that Ryan should continue defending that Cassie, or better still you both should date her instead!!!”. Cora yells and enters the dormentory, looking so angry.
“Why did she become so angry all of a sudden”. Clark muttered to himself, as his hands went through his hair.
