“Get down,” Diego said as he parked the car, while Verna looked around.
“Where is this? What are we doing here?” she asked as she got out of the car. He did the same.
“Brother, are we here to meet someone?”
“No, to give you my present. Remember?”
“What is it?”
“The best present you could get right now… admitting you, Verna.”
“What?” Her eyes widened.
“Verna dear…” She heard a broken voice and turned around to see her mother and Mr. Amazon approaching them.
“What’s going on here, Mom?”
“My dear daughter… I’m sorry… this is all my fault,” her mother sobbed.
“Mom!”
“This is the best option for you, dear.”
“I’m not crazy, Mom.”
“Daughter… we have no choice but to do this… because we love you. Diego told us many things that happened when we weren’t around, and…” Mr. Amazon paused.
“We also noticed some things wrong with you, dear. You’re still so young, and we have to do something.”
“What exactly are you saying? Dad… brother, you two can’t do this to me!”
“I’m sorry, Verna… I’ll miss you, dear sister.”
“Dad…”
“I love you, daughter.”
“Mom…”
“I’m so sorry… this is all my fault. I’ll always come to see you, my baby.” She hugged her, but Verna pushed her away.
“Whose idea is this? Who? You guys can’t do this to me! I told you I’m not crazy! Mom, look at me, do I look crazy to you? Let me go! I’m perfectly fine! I want to go back home! Let me go!” Verna continued rambling.
Two nurses came and held onto her.
“Let… let go of me! I’m perfectly fine! I want to go back home! Let me go!” Verna struggled as she was dragged into the hospital.
“I’ll make you pay for this! I won’t let you get away with this! Let me go! I’m not crazy, let me go, you psycho! Let go of me!” Verna continued shouting as she was dragged into the hospital.
“I’ll miss her,” Diego muttered, feigning sadness.
“She was such a sweet girl,” Mr. Amazon said, hugging Mrs. Amazon, who wouldn’t stop crying. His corner lip secretly went up in a smile.

Diego walked up to class with a smile plastered all over his face. He kept humming happily to himself. His eyes met with Kim’s as she approached as well.
“Kim! Kim, wait!” He ran to her and held her hand.
“I’m not giving up on you,” he said, but Kim snatched her hand away. She turned to leave but then saw Jay.
“Hey…I waited yesterday. Why didn’t you…?” Without letting him finish, she turns back to Diego, cupping his face, and smashes her lips onto his.
Jay’s eyes widen. Diego grabs the opportunity, putting his arms around her and kssing her more. The students around cool down and take their pictures.

LATER.
“LET GO OF ME!” Kim groans as Jay pulls her into an unused class, slamming the door shut behind him.
“What the h’ll are you doing, Jayden?” she barks.
“What are you doing, Kimberly?” he fires back.
“Hey…have you forgotten what he has done to you? How could you go back to him, huh?”
“What exactly has he done?”
“Kimberly!”
“He apologized.”
“I know you…something else is there, right? Are you doing this to anger me?”
“And why would I do that?”
“I know you hate his behavior right now. You doing this must have a reason!”
“There’s nothing…I just want to go back to him.”
“I refuse to believe that, and if you don’t tell me what it really is, Kim…I’m going to confront him myself!”
“Stop it, Jay! Don’t you really get what’s going on? I’m trying to stay away from you!”
“And why would you do that?”
“You got hurt! I might not be lucky next time, Jayden…I …I don’t want this repeating itself,” she says, breathing heavily.
“Dmn it!” Jay sighs deeply, also digging his fingers into his hair.
“I understand you, but…” He steps closer, holding both her shoulders firmly.
“You don’t have to do this, Kim. I…I can protect you.”
“No, Jay…I can protect myself, and I will.”
“Kim…”

“Can you please…just do as I said for once?” He brings his hands to her face, now cupping it.
“Listen to me, Kim.”

“You’ve made up your mind, haven’t you?” he asks, and she slowly nods.
“Dmn this!” he spits, leaving her and heading for the door.
“Jayden?” Her voice stops him, and he looks back at her.

Kim staggers back and sits on one of the chairs, clenching her fists in her lap.
